I went to Into my garden for the first time. I was greeted in a friendly maner but the food just didn't hit my taste buds right. I think that I will just stick to Nee Nee's tea room. Parking is easier and the service and presentation is amaizimng.

I had never visited the historic district of Plano but had seen/read so much about it that I ventured out on my own one Friday afternoon. My lunch options were limited and wow did I make the right one! I wandered into this amazing tea room, was greeted warmly and treated with the most attentive service. My lunch sampler entree and blackberry tea were a treat to my palate! Not thinking it could get much better I indulged in a slice of chocolate pecan pie - Heaven on earth! The bonus was finding out the history of the 110 year old building. I will be bringing my lunch bunch group back in July! I am so glad I 'stumbled' upon Into My Garden Tea Room!

Quite simply put - the BEST! I have been coming to Into My Garden Tea Room weekly for 4 years now. The quiche is exceptional, the presentation of every entree beautiful, but of course it is the taste and flavor of everything so fresh. I have gotten to know Sue and Linda well over the past 4 years. They love what they do and care about every detail. Thank you for such a wonderful 'retreat.' I wosh you continued success!

We had my daughter's Bridal Luncheon today and it was fantastic. I was a little nervous because I picked the tearoom from the internet and was a little skeptical. We had a private area and had to walk pass a room filled with Dad's and their daughters having lunch with tea, so adorable! I was very pleased with the presentation (we did the luncheon sampler) don't ask how we were able to eat the three desserts that came on the dessert sampler but we managed. You rally must try the Black Currant Tea - delicious. Thank you Sue for making my daughter's day very special and it is so nice when my guests all commented on how good the food was.

I am a tea room fanatic. I live in Georgia where there are many a tea room to compare with. Into My Garden Tea Room and propieters Sue and Linda take the number 1 place for THE BEST TEA ROOM! The building is so quaint, the food was out of this world and to top it off, there were 7 of us dining so we ordered one of every dessert - it was heaven! Sue and Linda shared many of their secrets to success with me as I am considering my own venture in the tea room business.

We treated my mother to a Mother's Day tea here and we had a wonderful time. My 6 year-old daughter felt like a princess and a had a ball pouring 'tea' from her own teapot. My mother talked about it for days and was very impressed. The owner was very accomodating when we had to change our reservation more than once and even e-mailed us pictures when I forgot my camera. Great experience!

I have visited several tea rooms in this area, and Into My Garden is my favorite. I am always pleased with the quality and variety of teas offered. I enjoy the loose leaf tea service, so make reservations for 'tea' (either Royal Tea affair or combination). I love the variety of food that comes with the tea - I have never been a fan of standard chicken salad sandwiches, so I really enjoy their different varieties of sandwiches here. The 3-cheese quiche is always wonderful, as well. It is fun to relax and enjoy the different courses served on lovely China in a very feminine atmosphere. The service is wonderful - they are very organized and efficient, knowing just what you came for, and knowing just when it's time for the next course and next pot. I always have a wonderful experience here.

I have had the pleasure of hosting a darling birthday tea party for my five year old and a lovely baby shower at Into My Garden. Both events were huge hits with the guests! You should have seen how proud those little girls were getting to use all the fancy china and each pouring tea from her own cute little teapot that was at each place setting! I knew the food would be delicious because I have long enjoyed the luncheon menu. However, what I was most pleased about was how Sue helped make the party planning a such a breeze!

My sister and I were visiting Dallas from Seattle and took our last afternoon to partake in high tea at Into My Garden. What a treat! We visit tea rooms regularly and this was one of our best high tea experiences yet! The ambiance was cottage charm at it's finest, with quilts and throws used as table cloths, fine china and vintage silver. The tea was decanted and both of us really enjoyed our selections. The tea sandwiches were fresh and flavorful, the scones (especially the Orange-Cranberry) exceptional and the desserts positively decadent. The Pumpkin Brownie was so unusual and yummy. The gift shop in which the tearoom is located was fun to browse in as well, and I brought home several gifts for family. The service was warm and friendly and although we were the only patrons late in the day, never felt rushed. We truly enjoyed ourselves and wish we could visit more often...next trip to Dallas, we'll be back!

Our Tea Club, Tea with Friends, had afternoon tea at the Into My Garden Tearoom in March. What a delight. They made it so special for us by serving our tea in courses with beautiful China dishes. We each had our own teapot with our choice of brewed tea. The food was especially tasty and quite substantial for 'tea treats.' We have had Afternoon Tea in many tearooms but this one ranks right at the top! Sue and Linda are the best hostesses ever!

I took my daughter (5) and my mother in law to Into My Garden for a Someone Special and Me Tea Party. There aren't words to describe how wonderful of an experience we each had. The table was set with perfection for my daughter. She felt like absolutel royalty for the day. I'm not talking about kids' stuff either. Pretty princess china, real place settings, lovely hats and necklace...the works! My mother in law boasted about the lunch for days (she might still be) and my daughter told everyone who would listen about the experience she had thanks to Sue. The food was by far the best lunch I can remember. I recommend the Sampler and the She Crab soup. The best! My thanks to Sue for making this an event to remember. Remember your camera when you go. You won't want to forget this!

I liked the food. I had never been to a tearoom before and i did'nt get greeted at the entrance so i kinda felt lost. once i figured out how it worked and found a table i just really felt rushed... I want a place where i can just relax and enjoy the experience. I had heard a lot about this place and I personally didn't enjoy it as much as i thought i was going to. it is a cute tearoom but I don't feel that one is for me.

Our group, Keepers of the Home, had our Mother Daughter Tea at Into My Garden Tea Room last year (2007). We had such a great time that we decided to have our tea at Into My Garden again this year and we were not disappointed. Sue Nagy and her staff are FABULOUS! Into My Garden has a wonderful selection of teas, the food is excellent and as usual, the staff professional. Thank you Sue for making our event so memorable.

My daughters and I had lunch at your tea room. It was a wonderful time for all of us. My youngest was treated so sweetly. She was four at the time. She even comminted on how welcome she felt. My oldest was a little intemadated and her fears were quickly put to rest with the hospitalty of staff. The food was so good, fresh fruits, and vegtables, savory flavors. I had the sampler and would have it again. My daughters still talk so fondly of the 'time at the tearoom' anytime we are having a ladies time out this is where we want to go. Each time is as sweet as the time before. Tea it's a simple pleasure we all can enjoy.

Into My Garden Tearoom is as cozy as sitting down with a favorite book on a rainy day. Sue and Linda are the proprietors extraordinaire, and they have created a warm, friendly atmosphere in which you can celebrate special occasions, share intimate secrets, or offer solace to a heartbroken friend. A lovely range of teas complement their outstanding 5 cheese quiche, Chicken Salad Elegant, and New Orleans Pasta Salad. Desserts are truly memorable - be sure to try the Incredibly Delisious Chocolate Cake or the Bread Pudding with Buttered Rum Sauce. I recently hosted a Couples Wedding shower at my home on a Sunday afternoon, and Sue and Linda started preparations at 6:00 AM to ensure a truly magnificent meal. When have you ever heard men rave about quiche? Guests could select from a variety of beverages, but Sue's Black Currant Tea was the runaway favorite. This tearoom is a treasure for residents of Plano, Richardson, McKinney, and Melissa.

I recently hosted a baby shower here and the service was absolutely wonderful. We had to change the dates of our shower several times due to the mommy-to-be and Sue was so flexible. We are so appreciative of that! We felt so welcomed and the guests had a great experience. The food was outstanding and the presentation of the food and beverages helped make the Tea Shower very memorable. I have already recommended this place to so many people. My friends and I hosted a baby shower for a friend at Into My Garden Tearoom, and it was FABULOUS! The owners were did a great job! The food is EXCELLENT, they had the best creamy chicken tortilla soup ever. If I could have licked my cup I would have! They served the lunch on the cutest china, and I love that the soup was presented in team cups! We had a wonderful time and I would HIGHLY recommend this tea room for baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties or just taking your mom and sister out for a day of shopping and lunch!!!

It is amazing to me that anyone would find anything to complain about at Into My Garden! I'm a regular customer and have been coming since it opened. I have referred many, many friends who are all now regular customers as well and who agree with me that the food and service are exceptional. I have family in Austin who schedule their Dallas visits around a lunch at the tearoom...sometimes they go to the tearoom before coming to see me!

In addition to being a regular lunch customer I have also scheduled special teas for both of my nieces who were thrilled with the special treatment they received from the beautiful china cup and teapot to the tiaras and boas.

A visit to Into my Garden is a must for any lover of tearooms and excellent food.

I was looking for tea room and found this one online. All of the reviews were really positive so I thought I'd go have some tea and dessert. The dessert was pretty good, but the tea selection was severely lacking. I asked what kind of teas they had and the server brought me a box with a bunch of different tea bag packages. Unfamiliar with these brands of tea, I asked the server what she recommended. She wasn't really helpful at all.

When I asked about a certain tea, she didn't know what was in it or what it tasted like and neither did the other lady working there. She then told me that they are not allowed to drink the tea at work because of health codes... Now this is where I started to get upset. Ok, maybe you shouldn't drink it while working, but at least try it on bre... (more)

tearoom response
With our positive reviews and very, very loyal as well as new customers I would like to respond to Andrew's unsavory review. Our website has all of our Traditional english tea menu's listed as well as whether the menu will be served with a loose leaf tea selection or the Mahogony tea chest filled with a lovely selections of 'Stash' tea bags. Stash is a very well known tea company (www.stash.com)
From what I can tell from the posting, Andrew came in for dessert and hot tea. Without a reservation for a Traditional English Tea, then the Mahogony Tea chest is offered. There are 11 different selections: English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Orange Spice, Wild Raspberry, Peppermint, Vanilla Nut, Lemon Ginger, Chamomile, Premium Green Tea, Fusion Green and White. In my many travels myself, when ordering a hot tea I was served a lipton tea bag in a mug of hot water. All teabags are labeled on the front under the name/flavor of either Black tea, herbal tea or caffeine free. All teabags have a full description of what the tea drinker will encounter tastewise listed on the back of the tea bag. All teabags are brought to the table in a pretty tea pot with a pretty china cup and saucer. Lemon and/or milk/cream is also offered depending on the selection. As far as suggestions for tea flavor, that is very subjective person to person. One might enjoy a more sweet, herbal tea with their dessert while another might enjoy more of a strong black tea and add milk/cream with theirs.
My intent is not to be argumentative in anyway to Andrew, but to respond to the posting.

Kindly,
Sue Nagy

The photos of this place are very flattering. It's not quite what I expected. It is located in a historic building (read: a bit rundown) in the back of a gift shop. They've tried hard to make a girly tea room, but you still notice that you're essentially in a warehouse. However, all that fades when the food arrives. Some of the best tea food I've ever had (and I've been to tea rooms all across the nation and even the U.K.!). Generous portions, tremendous sandwiches, fluffy scones, and yummy desserts--all freshly made on the premises. The service was also tremendous. I was there with my niece to celebrate her birthday and they made a huge fuss over her, taking lots of pictures of us. It's a great Mommy-and-me kind of place. When I called to book the reservation, I was even guided into the r... (more)

My three year old daughter and I have visited many tea rooms around the country, and this is one of our favorites. After moving here a year ago from AZ, we tried several in the surrounding area before we discovered Into My Garden Tea Room. We bring all of our out-of-town guests here because we love the charm, the service, and the food. Whether you are just coming for lunch or for a 'tea' experience, it's a delight. Sue and Linda also cater to the needs of children. Check out their website for the various 'teas' for children. My 12 year old niece and 10 year old nephew loved their experience with my three year old daughter as well. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as we do!

WOW! WOW! WOW! My mother and I have celebrated our birthdays together at a tearoom for the last 14 years. We had always gone to Lady Primrose and were devasted when it closed. We have not been able to find a place that even compared until now. We had high tea and our past experiences have been we would get something to eat afterwards, because portions were so small. That was not the case with Into My Garden. We left full and very satisfied. The food was absolutely wonderful, the service from Sue and Linda was outstanding. I love presentation and they most certainly know how to present. I really enjoyed eating off the beautiful china. My mama and I have found our new place to celebrate our birthdays and any other occasion that comes up, even though it takes us an hour to get there. It is well worth the drive. I highly recommend this tearoom!

I recently hosted a Baby Shower at Into My Garden and everything was so wonderful! I have a four-month-old and a two-year-old, so I wanted to find an establishment that would do the heavy lifting for me but still make my friend feel special. Into My Garden did all of that and more! Sue and I corresponded through e-mails and phone calls. She even sent me pointers on my invitation wording and directions! The food was divine (the chicken salad was a hit!) and we all felt like we were the honorees! It was all that I wanted and more! Thanks Sue and Linda!
