Overview
Into My Garden Tea Room is located in beautiful Historic Downtown Plano nestled amongst all the wonderful shopping and less than one block from the Plano DART station. Into My Garden Tea Room sets the standard of what a true tea room is. We are located in the back of Nooks and Krannies Gift Shop. Whether coming for lunch with a girlfriend or many, your lunch hour or attending a bridal or baby shower, Traditional English Tea, Someone Special and Me Tea Party, Little Girl birthday tea party, group luncheon (Red Hat, book club) etc. Into My Garden Tea Room has freshly prepared quiches, soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts all prepared by our staff chef, Cherish Penermon. Food: My job has me frequently traveling. I use teamap to find tea rooms in all cities of the US. On my recent visit to Plano for a business event I discovered Into My Garden Tea Room! I will rate this tea room in the top 3 tea rooms of the US I have visited. The lunch sampler plate was fabulous. The quiche was more 'souffle' like than simply an 'egg pie' like so many quiches tend to be. The creamy potato soup was smooth as velvet - topped with real bacon, cheddar cheese and green onion. The wild rice chicken salad was so unique with the ingredients (artichoke hearts, black olives and wild and long grain rice) and OH the pasta salad - if only I had the ability to take it home with me! Food: I am a single Dad who had the herculean task of hosting a 7 year Birthday Tea Party for 13 little girls. Sue and her staff helped make this happen with what seemed like little effort even though I know it is anything but simple. The girls were so excited yet so well behaved as they wore their little tiaras, sipped their 'pink tea', and munched on their flower shaped sandwhiches and fruit kabobs. For all you parents out there, this is the place to make your reservation for a magical moment you and your daughter will always remember. |

Food: Our organization, Keepers of the Home...also known as FaithKeepers, has held our Mother Daughter Tea at Into My Garden Tea Room for four years straight. We just had our tea on Saturday Feb. 13 and again we had a wonderful time. We have always enjoyed excellent service, food, and just love the intimate atmosphere. Sue has been delightful and outrageously superior with her abilities as hostess and owner of this tea room. Linda is just as wonderful and incredible. Food: I had my granddaughter's 5th birthday party at Into My Garden Tea Room and it was WONDERFUL! The girls had 'pink tea' and 'pink hot chocolate' along with finger foods. They each received a goodie bag, there was a craft for the girls to do and of course, a cake with a teacup on it. It was a princess theme and all done in pink - my granddaughter's favorite color. I was pleased and very impressed with the service and the attention to detail. A good time was had by all. |

Food: A jewel in downtown Plano! The food and the service are superb. Sue and her staff are more than willing to go the extra mile to provide whatever is needed to make the dining experience an enjoyable one. I've used the tearoom for catering business lunches that are delivered on time as well as for personal entertaining. Now that my granddaughter has been introduced it's the only place she wants to go! The tearoom is a delight. |

Food: Everything relating to the meal and ambience was wonderful. My only issue is that for a party of 2, a 20% (or so) gratuity was added to the bill and the waitress did not mention this, nor was it mentioned on the menu. When my credit card slip came for me to sign, there was a place for a tip. Many people don't look at their bills, so they would double tip. This really bothered me, so beware! |

Hello Anyark, I am not sure if you enjoyed our lunch menu or afternoon tea service. Afternoon Tea service does have a 20% gratuity added to it automatically and it is shown on the itemized receipt given at the conclusion of tea. (not the credit card receipt-but the itemized receipt you were given) There is no automatic gratuity added to the lunch menu unless there is a group of 6 or more so I'm thinking that maybe you had afternoon tea service (?) There would not/should not have been automatic gratuity on a party of 2 if you ordered off the lunch menu. Our credit card software automatically prints the gratuity line (like all restaurants) that is why a clearly written itemized reciept is given to each and every customer. Food: Highly recommend Into My Garden for a business luncheon for women. We had 20 women dressing up with hats, gloves, pearls, and boas all supplied by the tearoom---was fun and something different. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. The semi private room held us comfortably and was the ideal setting. |

Food: Sue, I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful afternoon at the Tea. Everything was so elegant and beautiful, and the service was great, considering it was a large crowd. Food: This place advertises to cater in little girls tea parties but when we went in just for a mommy and me dessert and tea I was very disappointed in the service we received. The ladies there acted like we were an imposition instead of their guests. The tea offerings were like that of which we could purchase in any grocery store chain. I would not recommend this tea room unless you do not have children. |

I as a woman, and a waitress am sad to hear about your negative comments . I personally greeted you at the entrance and invited you to take the table of your choice. I remember you and your beautiful daughters well. I also verified that our cups with lids for your daughters water was what you wanted you said, 'oh yes, that would be best' and brought out extra plates so that you could share your piece of cake with your daughters. As for the tea selections, there were 10 different varieties for you to choose, loose leaf teas are used for afternoon tea service. As I stood there and engaged your daughter Zoe in conversation, I also spoke with your oldest daughter about how excited she was about getting out for Christmas break. Showing them to the ladies room, and allowing your daughter Zoe to wander the store( without any negative comments from me,OR any other employee). I also spoke with you at length about future tea parties with you and your children. If this madam is being rude, and not yielding good customer service.... and not catering to your sweet girls.....then for you,I am deeply sorry. |

I know you were extremely busy and had the place full the entire time we were there and that spoke volumns to me on how many people obviously in the area appreciate you and your business. With out a doubt it was a wonderful experience for everyone in our party and I appreciate how you worked with me long distance to make this special occasion a success and memory for my niece. Food: A group of us just popped in one day for lunch while exploring the shops of downtown Plano. Everything was wonderful! Since there were 10 of us - we must of ordered a good portion of the menu. Everyone was more than pleased with their selection. It was clear the portions were more than generous. Going to tea rooms, sometimes you can leave not quite full, but it seemed many of us struggled to finish everything on our plate. The sampler plate was really a challenge. The best part was we ordered one of each of the 6 desserts for our own little 'dessert sampler.' Couldn't really tell you which was the best as they were all over the top good. Such a neat place. I thought it was so nice we were encouraged to stay as long as we wanted and get all the 'girl talk' in we wanted to. |

Food: Sue, I have received several phone calls and/or emails about the shower. Our guests loved the Tea Room as well as Nooks & Krannies. I believe everyone was impressed with the lunch and the amount served. Your portions are perfect lunch size. I liked the fact that you came in, welcomed everyone and then proceeded to explain your menu and how the guests should order. It all just ran smoothly. The ambiance of the Tea Room is delightful for young and old. Although we know there are some men who would never walk into a place like this, there are many who are just fine with it. Food: my husband and i had stopped in to have tea and dessert. When we were seated we got the whole thing about trying the special or the suggestion of the sampler plate. when i told her all we wanted was tea and cake, you would have thought that i did a horrilbe thing. The look that i received was very rude. We were served and got the ticket soon after. I will never go back. I feel there is no reason for poor service. |

Food: Saturday, April 25th, Myself and 3 friends enjoyed a Princess Tea Party for little girls. We had 4 little girls 5 and under. The girls had a wonderful time with the pink tea (Pink lemonaid) the darling lunch (star sandwiches, fruit kabobs and the choc chip muffins) and the ice cream and sprinkles for dessert was for them over the top! The table was set so sweetly with Cinderalle and the other princess. The girls laughed and giggled the whole time we were there...the adults had a great time enjoying the girls. Food: We visited Into My Garden Tea Room on Saturday. Myself, my mother and our friends. It was WONDERFUL! We love visiting different tea rooms and Into My Garden is now a top choice. It is our 'custom' to each order something different from the menu, not only to be able to taste more of the menu selections but to examine the presentation. Both the presentation and the food itself was delicious! Our food arrived on a collection of different china plates with food that was presented so exquisite on the plate. (I took a picture - it was so beautiful!) Portions are more than generous, (not always the case with tea rooms) The food was so fresh it melted in my mouth and I must add the service was genuine and courteous. |
