I come here fairly often with my mother and sister. We come both for lunch in their cafe and their formal high tea, and always have a wonderful time! The tea and the food are always delicious and expertly prepared. The tea room itself is very elegant and both the tea room and the cafe have a calming atmosphere. I would highly recommend Iris and Ivory!

This was my first time at a tea room, and it was amazing! The creamy earl grey was delicious. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. They also accommodated for my friends young child. Overall it was an Excellent experience, and reasonably priced.

Just had lunch there recently.(THE road construction is complete!) The teas are always properly brewed (loose tea, in a tea pot, and all menu items are made 'from scratch.' The soups, quiches, and salads are always excellent. So glad I found this little gem! Planning to organize a neighborhood holiday tea.

I absolutely adore tea rooms and when I found out one was down the road from me, I decided to check it out.

The shop was quaint and I thoroughly appreciated all the lovely plants along the windows. It created a very cozy atmosphere.

I ordered the 'Casual Tea' with a cup of their broccoli cheddar soup and crumpets for lunch. The tea I ordered was the 'White Blueberry'.

The soup wasn't very warm, but the flavor was good. A very light soup, thinner than I am used to but good all the same.

The scone (cranberry) had a good flavor, albeit a little dry. The lemon curd and Devonshire cream helped mask that, though.

My server(a young man) was quite pleasant and attentive.

My experience was nice, but nothing really stood out as 'amazing' for me. Little things here and there could likely be changed to elevate the rating. While small, I always appreciate sugar bowls instead of packets. Likewise I prefer my lemon curd and cream served in bowls. This is partially for aesthetics, but mostly due to needless waste of plastic containers.

I found it odd that the tea was served with the leaves still in the strainer. For a green tea this would make it bitter and ruin an otherwise wonderful pot of tea. I am unsure if this is their standard method of serving.

As I ordered a white tea, the extra steeping didn't effect the flavor too much. The aroma was wonderfully fruity and reflected the flavor well. It paired fabulously with the bowl of fruit.

I'm not sure if I'll go back, but I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a nice, clean cafe in the area.

Just had my daughter's bridal shower here for 35 people and it turned out wonderful. Tearoom is beautiful...quaint and a touch of romance. The food was exceptional and displayed nicely. The owner, Michelle, was extremely friendly and helpful, as was the staff! Most definitely recommend this venue for luncheon or a special gathering!

I would highly recommend this spot to those who would appreciate the elegance and escape provided at Iris and Ivory Tea Room. It's not just a place to get something to eat...but an experience that is as soothing as sipping on any of the variety of teas that they offer.(I pick the Rose tea over and over again!) When I open the door, the hurry and confusion of life is left outside and I am at ease and comforted by the delicate decor and sense of family. The soft music transcends me to a settled sensation. The food is delicious (love the cranberry chicken salad!) and accented by the kindness and warmth of the hands that prepared it and served it. Iris and Ivory not only nourishes the hungry bellies of the passerby, but nurtures the ones along the way.

I just returned from lunch at Iris and Ivory and once again had such a wonderful experience that I felt that I had to write a review. Not only do I have lunch here on a regular basis, but I have ordered take out for dinner for my family on many occasions. Additionally, I have had many events at Iris and Ivory. I have had showers, a rehearsal dinner and several business meetings for my employees. Not only does Michelle make sure that your event is planned to your liking, but she delivers on her promise of good food and great service. I have had so many compliments on the events that I have held here that I never hesitate to recommend other people to Michelle and her business. I heard that she might close because of the construction situation on 910, but was delighted to hear that she is staying open. I couldn't bear the thought of losing one of my favorite places for lunch and or events. You have to try Iris and Ivory to appreciate all it has to offer!

I am a 'regular' of the tea house I am retired and meet here a couple times a week with some of my friends. I have gotten to know the owner and her staff quite well, and we have talked many times about the business. The post that is two below mine is untrue, there was talk of not staying open due to the closing of the bridges along 910 over the turnpike, but I am here to reassure you that she has decided to remain open and see what happens. Unfortunately there are people out there who would impersonate someone else, to say something that is so untrue and down right rude about this wonderful place. I guarantee you that if you were to come in here you would see the wonderful atmosphere that all of us see when we eat there. God Bless her business and I hope that people will make there way there for it to become a favorite of their's like it has become mine.

I visited Iris & Ivory Tea Room this afternoon with six other ladies for my sister's birthday lunch. We had a wonderful time, it is a great atmosphere, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. You can really tell that they truly care about the customers experience here with how they treat you and what they put in front of you. You definitely do not leave hungry! Although, a perfect lunch and time with friends, a very troubling thing happened while we were gathering our things and leaving. A woman who was there with an elder woman and man was complaining to the waitress about the quality of the food and how she would never come back, and when I asked the waitress what had happened. She had told me the lady was not pleased with the bread she was given, having just finished my lunch I just couldn't understand what was wrong. As the ladies and I were looking around at the wonderful gifts and teas they have to purchase I overheard this woman request to speak to the manager, the manager came out and spoke with the lady giving all condolences about her bad experience. The lady then proceeded to try and use two coupons and get more money taken off of her bill, and I noticed she did not leave a tip for the waitress who was patient enough to wait on her with all of her aggressive remarks towards the food. It seemed to me she was just that type of person who will go anywhere and make a fuss about something just to get a free meal, it is unfortunate that there are people like that these days, but the Tea Room is not the place for them. I had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning with more friends for lunch!

Our Bridal Shower in the Iris Room was perfect due to Michelle's attention to detail. The food was excellent as was the service. The room decor was lovely and all agreed that the fine china place settings and linens added just the right touch of romance to the day. I have also enjoyed visiting for a pot of brewed tea. My favorite is the Peach Apricot Tea which is a whole leaf flavored black tea from the Metropolitan Tea Company. I topped it off with a fresh from the oven scone. The best way to grab a few minutes of peace in an otherwise hectic day! Thanks Michelle!

I personally know Michelle, the owner, & finally just got to visit the teahouse for the 1st time this past weekend for the holiday open house. I'm so glad I finally made it there, I can't wait to go again soon :) Michelle is a great person & her business reflects her personality & passion for cooking & baking :)

Imagine a 2 hour afternoon tea party for four friends with a fresh fruit dish, delicious scones, tea sandwiches and desserts in this beautiful, relaxing Iris and Ivory Cafe and Tearoom! The brewed loose tea was hot, just the way we like it, due to the individual teapot warmers. The owner, Michele, knows how to make everyone feel special. What a lovely way to make memories. I planned a retirement dinner for a co-worker and Iris & Ivory was just perfect. There were close to 50 people and we all enjoyed a cozy and relaxing tribute to our friend. The food was wonderful and the service impecable. The owner and staff did everything in their power to assure we had everything we asked for and went above and beyond to accomodate us. Many commented on how delicious the food was. My friend and co-worker loved the evening and now has a beautiful memory to close this chapter of her life. To the woman below who insisted on leaving her nasty barbaric comment on a tea house review board: I have been going to this cafe/tea house since the new owner took over. The food is delicious and the servers are very personable and knowledgable about the teas they serve. The problem they have is with the dance school parents taking up their parking which, in turn, makes potential customers think they are crazy busy when they are not. The dance school parents take over the entire parking lot, which I do not think is fair to the other businesses in the plaza. I'm sorry you got yelled at and didn't get your gift card, but other businesses are trying to make money also...it was just a misunderstanding that could have been resolved if you had just explained you were not like the others parking there and you were going to purchase a gift card. I just wanted to leave my perspective on things because this tea house really is lovely and a great place to go.

Wow. Iris and Ivory was worth the detour it took to get to there. Michelle is an awsome Hostess. The veggie wrap was one of the best I have ever had and My Guy Jack loved his quiche. Now to the scones. I sincerely have never eaten such a moist, flavorful scone and over the years I allowed myself the pleasure to have many.Jack and I will be back and soon. This place is a real gem. My experience at Iris and Ivory was beyond my expaectations. I am part owner of a local preschool and we treated our moms to a Mother's Day Tea this past week. Although we are a small business, we were treated like royality. We have students ranging from two years old to five years old and the owner Michelle was so accommadating and welcoming to all. The children loved treating their moms or grandmas to tea and they were just bursting with pride. They also loved being treated like 'grown-ups'. It was such a wonderful experince none of us wanted to leave. The atmsophere, and the food was fabulous! Not only are we definately going to make this a tradition for our school, but I will be returning whenever possible. I HIGHLY recommend Iris and Ivory to EVERYONE... adults and children... for any occasion, or to just simply treat yourself to being treated special.

Wanted to purchase a gift card for Mother's Day gift, I pulled up in front of the tearoom and was screamed at by a tall shorthaired redheaded amazon woman to not park in front of her business, Little did she know that after taking my daughter to her dance school which happens to be in the same area I was planning on spending money at her business. You should really watch who you yell at. I will be sure to share my experience of rudeness with everyone in the Shaler, Glenshaw and Hampton areas, and others looking for a tearoom to visit.

My husband and I enjoy visiting tea rooms so while visiting my brother and sister-in-law in the Pittsburgh area I made a reservation at Iris & Ivory Café and Tea House which I found on the Teamap.com website. Well my husband and I know an exceptional tea room when we visit one and this definitely is one. We were seated in the Iris Room which is very elegantly decorated which made our tea experience even more enjoyable. Our Afternoon Tea started with us choosing our tea from a large selection of loose teas, then a fresh fruit cup. We then received our three tiered service which consisted of assorted tea sandwiches, a slice of quiche, two scones each, a very good size cream puff (not one of those mini ones) and a slice of cake. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner Michelle and had such a wonderful time talking about our tea room experiences with her. If you don’t visit Iris & Ivory you will really be missing out on a wonderful Tea Room experience.

My experience at Iris and Ivory was exactly like I dreamed a high tea party would be. The tea room is beautiful with it's satin baroque tablecloths and fine bone china dishes. The selection of tea with descriptions of each one was very nice. I loved the angel dream tea. Then the three tier tray came to the table all entwined with flowers, the bottom tray had the most delicious sandwiches , two of my favorites were the Cordon Blue and the carrot cake bread with a flavored cream cheese. The scones with devonshire cream and lemon curd were very tender. But the show stopper was the lightest creamiest pumpkin mousse and the Dark chocolate cup with creamy mousse in the center. They were fabulous!!! I took my daughter on Tuesday and I'm going to go back next Thursday with my 3 sisters. The owner is so accommodating she is going to make me different food and my favorites. Iris & Ivory has become the 'date night' destination for my husband and me. and reminds me of my favorite tea houses in the UK.

We are working our way through the extensive menu of black, green, white and herbal whole leaf teas (Buckingham Palace Garden Party tea is one of my favorites!)

The food is freshly and creatively prepared, with a daily soup and quiche in addition to the other menu items. The Afternoon Tea requires advance reservations and is worth it! The presentation is elegant and the flavors are phenomenal!

Everything is good value for money -- Dinner for two has consistently been under $30.

The cafe's atmosphere is bright and airy. The Iris Room, available for Afternoon Tea and special events, is more formal, but not stodgy.

Iris & Ivory is worth the trip!
