Overview
We are a tea importer, tea wholesaler and have a tea room where people can to sample from our list of over 70 teas. The focus of J-Tea is on tea leaf (camellia sinensis) from Taiwan and China, so all of the tea we carry has caffeine. Currently we have over 60 oolongs, 10 puers and several other teas to choose from. You are welcome to come in during our regular hours or call for an appointment. Tastings are held throughout the day, free of charge.

Jtea provides a great opportunity sample premium oolong and other teas from Taiwan and China in a comfortable, low-pressure setting. He really gives personalized service too--remembering which teas you enjoyed in the past and recommending new ones that fit your preferences. There is always the opportunity to try something new too. The shop makes purchasing tea easy and fun. Plus its great to do shopping where afterwards you feel 'picked up' rather then tired.

I didn't know what to expect the first time I went to J-Tea. I had only seen English style tea rooms in the United States. J-Tea's is not that. The shop is comfortable and has good displays with lots to look at. Josh specializes in Taiwan's Oolongs. I have sampled many of his teas including the high end competition grades. The atmosphere is relaxed. Recently I was reading Dr. Tea's Ultimate Tea Diet and find that J-Tea carries many of the teas, including pu'er that Dr. Tea writes about. Josh also has a lot of information about the health benefits of tea. I have my morning cup or two of coffee, then it's oolong tea for the rest of the day. I look forward to my oolong every day. Who knows, maybe I'll give up coffee all together (nahhh - don't think so- just less). I've bought J-Tea tea at a ... (more)couple of different retailers in Eugene but I like going to hiis leaf house best. Friday afternoons from 5:00 to 6:00 is tasting time - sort of like a little wine tasting only with tea. I've met some really great people at the tastings. Keep up the great work!!!

The tea here is amazing. I travel across the US and in Europe and WHO KNEW? It's all happening in Eugene Oregon. JTEA is the best!

I am from Taiwan and I was so surprised to find a traditional tea house here in Eugene. The tea owner is nice, I was so surprised to see such a variety of tea from Taiwan. Like the tea from my home town of Ping Lin.
The tea room is not large but the tea is great! I plan to bring my parents here when they visit from Taiwan.
