This has nothing to do with High Tea. Please don't try this place for a special occasion like Mother's Day....one dish like roast pork served dry [no gravy], miniature quiches frozen in the middle, baby carrots mushy outside and raw in the middle, cucumber sandwiches somehow hinting of garlic, and angel food cake probably of Sam's vintage with a teaspoon of jam. Manager said he was sorry we were not happy and that he himself had been busy in the kitchen and had not tasted the food. My advice:Go to Tea Room on Pioneer Parkway...out of this world compared to this.

I have been to this tea room several times and I am always impressed with the food, the atmosphere, and the staff. I also feel that the tomato bisque and the chicken salad are always consistantly wonderful. It is definetely worth the time to have lunch there.

I took a friend for lunch to this adorable little tea room this past weekend. WONDERFUL!!!! The owner showed us to our table and made us feel so welcome. Our waitress was wonderful! Very kind and courtious. She suggested the quiche, it was to die for. Light and full of flavor. We also had the Tomato Bisque, it was the best I have ever tasted. We each had hot tea, the selection was wonderful and seemed to have something for everyone. I will definatly visit Katie's Daughter again.

My two daughters and I had lunch this past Saturday. We were considering this place as a site for my daughter's shower, so went to try it for lunch. SLOW, SLOW, SLOW! We sat for 15 minutes before our order was taken, then it was another 15 before the lukewarm tea arrived. Then another 20 minutes until lunch was served. I could understand this, but there was only one other party present. Our waitress was not friendly, nor was she apologetic. A number of other ladies were arriving after we were seated. I can't imagine how long it took for their order to arrive. The lettuce was brown in spots and wilty. The chicken salad was bland. We were really disappointed in the quality and quantity of food. Also, the ladies room was out of toilet paper and soap and was very odorous. Well, we're going to Wonderful World of Cooking, which is indeed WONDERFUL!

My Mother and I had 'high tea' at this absolutly gorgeous tearoom. The hand painted mural and the water fountain inside the dining area give this tearoom a very calm and relaxing dining experience. The selection of loose leaf teas are wonderful. The finger sandwiches delightful and the scones are possibly the best I have ever had. The chocolate torte was amazing! Our server was very attentive and catered to our every need. I will definatly be having lunch at this tearoom again.

I was in charge of bringing a group of ladies to enjoy a high tea on Friday August 17, 2007 and obviously this was not a good day all around for a high tea. The glasses were filmy and some had lipstick traces. Instead of being apologetic the waitress remarked on the make up of today. This set the tone for the rest of the day. We thought that we would be served a variety of teas to be tried by everyone instead of just one choice of tea per person. The food was neither abundant nor very appetizing. The scones seemed overcooked and the chocolate torte was stale. When we mentioned this to the waitress she said that it had been frozen and that's why it was hard. No Way! When calling to make the reservation and confirmation I asked the exact amount that was to be paid including tax and gratu... (more)ity. The bill came with an over charge of 30 cents. This is not a large amount but was not the agreed amount. We were told 'Well prices went up on Monday'. As an afterthought we were given cards for a free mini dessert. The owner never came to either greet us or find out what our trouble was. The restaurant was not crowded. For the amount and quality of food and service I would say that this tearoom did not make the grade.

I have been twice for afternoon tea to this quaint little tea room, tucked in the back of an antique mall in Arlington, and both times have been pleased and impressed with their loose leaf tea selection and food.
The berry scones were very moist and lovely and the cucumber sandwiches were unusual and tasty. But the real star of the menu is their loose leaf tea selection. I've managed to sip my way through five selections so far and can't wait to try the rest.
I look forward to returning this fall to try the pumpkin dessert!

I love this tea room! The food is wonderful, some of the recipes have changed, but I think for the better. I have been a customer for a couple of years now and it just gets better every time I visit. The service is excellent and the owner always makes it a point to come and check on me to make sure that I am happy.
