Variety: I like this tea shop, the atmosphere is great. I do wish they had a bit more variety. |

Variety: My daughter and I stopped in after walking around a 25 degree MU campas, before a long drive home. We had a white and oolong teas that were both wonderful, and they let us take the left overs of the pots with us in togo cups. We had two kinds of scones that were different but very good. If she goes to school there we will both be back. |

Variety: Kayotea is my favorite spot to study and relax in Columbia. The food is pretty good and much different from anything else in Columbia. The service was not slow for a tearoom, and the prices not bad. My only qualms are that they don't give you a plate to put your tea leaves on after you steep them, and they don't have milk readily available. I love their Earl Grey Creme and Valentines Desert (chocolate strawberry - interesting, and not gross at all!). All tea is loose, and I haven't tried anything that tastes artificial or strange. Atmosphere is sort of vintage-y, with antique furniture in red and gold. Warm and cozy feeling with reproductions of French posters. Unexpected for a tearoom whose business is probably made up of 90% walk-ins from shopping downtown! All-in-all, a nice place to relax and drink tea in downtown CoMo. |
