Lady Bug Tea Room

Never even heard of a tea house before i came here. I honestly would have thought that i would have needed to order a pizza or something after dining there but was suprised at the amount of food, which was all excellent. I loved that everything was home made and almost entirely from scratch. I was genuinly surprised at how awesome everything was and that someone like me, a 16 year old kid who's into metal would enjoy a place like this. Trying this place is definitly a must do.

So enjoy going to tea here. Millie is a delight, so full of energy. She puts all that into her cooking and come out with delicious foods.

First experience at a tea room and I loved evry minute I was there. They had beautiful and fun teapots to chose from. The food was OUTSTANDING and the tea warmd me up on a cold wintery day! Thanks!

I want to thank everyone who we met today. This was my husband and I our first time at your tearoom and it was a surprise visit in regards to my husband bringing me here for my birthday. Everything was perfect! Except my husband really liked his tea pot set and unfortunately it was not for sale. :-). Thank you again for making our visit and my birthday very memorable. Thank you for for all the hard work that you put in your food with all the homemade ingredients and the hours that are spent on all your dishes. Thank you!

What an awesome experience. The tea was excellent, the food fresh made and absolutely delicious. The staff and owner, Milly, did a great job telling us about the history of the house and how the food was prepared. Highly recommend this tea house to others.

I have been to the ladybug tearoom no less than 30 times since it's opening. Although different than other tearooms, it is by far my favorite! It is a place the my husband loves to go to as well, because you NEVER leave hungry. We've had birthdays, Christmas get-togethers, anniversarys, and just visits with friends. Millie is wonderful! Jennifer is hilarious...always ready to make us laugh! Love the staff. Love the food. Love the atmosphere. Love the teas!

I visited The Lady Bug with 13 friends, and we were welcomed as family. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious, prepared with local ingredients, some were even homegrown! I will be returning with my Mom and her sisters for a special family tea! Thanks to the staff for the wonderful care we were given. Kathy

I would like to update my review listed below. Millie phoned me immediately and has given great customer service on my Christmas basket purchase. She without hesitation offered me a full refund of purchase price and has offered sincere apologies about the situation. I would like to say that I may have handled the situation poorly by choosing to post the experience on tea map and in hind site I should have just called her directly. The lady bug tea is still my favorite tea house and we have been to many and we will be visiting again soon. Thanks Millie!

As always had a great time at the lady bug and always leave excellent feedback. However today I need to give a poor score in the area of quality. I purchased a Christmas gift basket with a tea pot and tea cup and wafers and tea. The wafers were outdated with an expiration date of 8/2008! The tea cup and saucer had a yard sale sticker on them. The tea pot was dirty on the inside. So therefore I am not giving this as a Christmas present. Very disappointed. I thought this was a great buy at $25 when I purchased.

Had a wonderful time today at the Lady Bug Tea Room. The food was absolutely out of this world and make from fresh ingredients from local farmers. I've been to several tea houses now and The Lady Bug is the best by far. The teas were very very good as well and I love the tea pot assortment that we had to pick from. The service was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. I will be going back with my family this spring.

The tea menu was extensive and the staff knew their teas. Two teas are offered and you can pick your teapot from a wonderful selection. The food is outstanding and made with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is comfortable, not too formal.

I have gone to the Lady Bug tea room a number of times and as ALWAYS the food and the tea were excellent. My friends and I always enjoy the friendliness of Lady Bug

I enjoyed this tea room very much. I thought the savories and soup were excellent and the pasta salad was the best I ever had. I was glad that the sweets were not to much as I was full already. Service was delightful and I will not only come back but I will be telling all my family and friends about this wonderful tea room.

I heard a lot of truly wonderful things about this tea room, so I chose to take a special friend there for her birthday. We were VERY disappointed. The ladies were warm and friendly, and the atmosphere was very appealing, but the menu left much to be desired. The first two courses were wonderful, but the salad course consisted of a very, very SIMPLE, BLAND, TASTELESS pasta salad that tasted like pasta mixed with a very bland mayonnaise. We were anticipating an assortment of tea style desserts, and were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED when we were served nothing but a TINY piece of warm chocolate cake with fresh whipped cream and cherry. I have a gift certificate to go there again, but I'm giving it away.

I cannot say enough good things about this tea room.It is my favorite by far. They use nothing but the freshest ingredients, the atmosphere is so comforting and relaxing and the service is excellent. This should be a definite on anyone's list of tea rooms to visit!

Cozy atmosphere, delicious food made fresh from scratch, an assorted variety of decadent teas to select from.. Not to mention, you get to select your own style teapot to use for your visit! It feels very personal. Staff was welcoming, friendly & helpful! Great for small get togethers, with reservation they will accommodate large groups as well. It should be noted for parents--- atmosphere is recommended for kids 10+ . There are many breakables & they do not provide booster seats for little ones. All in all a great experience! Treat yourself!

My lions club group planned a tea at the Lady Bug Tea Room. This was our first time there after being to several tea rooms in the area. I'll start with the positives. The food and teas were amazing. It's not your typical tea room with cucumber sandwhiches and small scones. Everything was handmade with local products and large portions. The unfortunate part about the tea room was that the service was absolutely awful. One particular waitresses was extremely abrassive. At one point she yelled that we all needed to sit down, we were in her way. Another time a customer asked for more tea and she responed that she had to wait, couldn't she see she was cleaning something off the floor and now she had to wash her hands and get her a new drink (pretty sure that's your job). Another person... (more) commented that she had her tea cup near the center of the table and the server said to move it immediately, 'Where am I supposed to sit your food.' I was chatting with a few ladies as we were leaving, (we were the last customers in the tea room) and the same woman told us to 'leave the tea room, she had to clean tables and we were in her way.' It's a shame Millie has a family member that works for her that is so completely rude. If she wasn't there, our experience would have been perfect. I totally agree with the earlier post about the 'abrassive' woman.

Very delicious with quite an array of foods served - all made from scratch with a lot of love and family recips and heritage. I loved that everyone gets to pick their own teapot while dining. They have so many lovely teapots! It was a fun experience! Highly recommended!

Best experience ever at a tea room. Millie makes all of the delicious food from scratch and offers mouth-watering descriptions of all the tasty treats. The tea and service are wonderful. The staff are warm & friendly. The eclectic surroundings are visually stimulating as well. Highly recommended! Will definitely be back for more. :)

I really enjoy visiting this tearoom because the food is homemade, from scratch, with a delicious flavor. I always enjoy hearing Millie describe how she makes her food, all the fresh , natural ingredients that she uses, some from her garden and her love of her family recipes.I like that several varieties of decaf teas are available as well as regular teas, all her blend of tea leaves. The owners actually live in the house which reminds you of going to visit Grandma's or a favorite aunt's house.I am a repeat visitor and have always been so glad to be able to enjoy tea at the Ladybug!

I have frequented Miss Millie's tea room on several occasions. One of the main reasons that I return is her attention to her guests and their needs. The staff is always pleasant and I have a lot of fun with them. The food is always excellent and the service top notch.

This tearoom is wonderful. As you enter you are asked to choose your teapot from a large variety located on display in both rooms. Millie, the owner, used recipes that have been handed down through her family for years - and absolutely delicious. Many tea leaves are in the 'sample' box and Their flavors are explained to you- two may be selected by each person. Each course is explained to the guests and leaves your taste buds anxiously awaiting it to be served. The waitstaff is very accomodating - it seems as though your wish is their command. Teas are available for special occasions ( Witch's Tea, Christmas Tea, etc.). Try it - you will thoroughly enjoy!!!!!

just visited the Lady Bug Tea Room,from the moment you enter the atmosphere is wonderful!!picking out your owm teapot& cup was such a fun moment,so many to choose from. The food courses excellant . Millie and her staff very cortesy and so helpful in acknowledging us about the selections of the teas. We will be returning soon and for many events!!!

I recently re-visited the Lady Bug with a small group and was once again blown away! The food and atmosphere are wonderful and we really enjoyed ourselves. I never leave hungry! The owner and staff are welcoming and made our time there fun! We will all definitely be returning soon!

Visited with a group of 16! This place is fantastic. I was stuffed after all the servings of food!!! I had no idea a tea place was like this and then I learned it was created after the Japanese style tea houses. So many interesting appetizers, soups, dessert and amazing scones. This is a must stop!!

I don't understand all the good reviews. The woman serving us was abrasive to the point I wondered if she wanted to be rid of us. Constantly telling us how wonderful the ingredients are didn't change the fact we got chicken salad and crackers, and only a sampling of those. We were allowed to select 2 teas and were served a little over a cup of each. Apple brown betty and a tiny cookie rounded out the skimpy and disappointing meal. What did we pay almost $24 each for? I have no idea. Never again.

Our 'Red Hat' group went to the Lady Bug recently. It was an awesome experience!!! Highly recommended.

My first time at the Lady Bug Tea Room...... but not my last. So much more enjoyable than any other tea room I have visited.
Upon our arrival we were directed to pick our own tea pot and cup to use for our lunch. Each person could choose 2 teas to sample....... each one named for a family member and described for us. Millie and her staff were very helpful and accomodating.
A four course luncheon was served family style...... 5 different appetizers, scones, pasta salad and dessert.
After our meal we strolled through the back yard of flowers and herbs grown for the menu.
If you enjoy tea rooms....... this one is a must for you.

I have been to the Lady Bug Tea Room many times and always had a wonderful experience until the last time!!! We were a group of 7 ladies and we felt rushed, even though we were the only ones there and they were on the porch rocking when we arrived. Our meal was very good, as always, except we were snapped at when we all ordered the same soup, stating she wouldn't have enough for her evening even if we all ordered the same soup! Then our dessert was so disappointing...the only thing we got were the lady bug cooie and STALE prizels (spelling?). We left very disappointed. We understand she had date night but if she didn't want us there then she should not have taken our reservation. I will give it another try, but if we are treated this way again, it will be the last.

This is a wonderful tearoom. I am so glad I found out about the Lady Bug. I hope to be a frequent customer for a long time.

I had been to several tea rooms prior to Ladybug Tea Room so I didn't expect anything out of ordinary. As I arrived, I was captivated by the relaxing atmosphere that reminded me of home and a sense of family. I entered the tea room amazed at the wonderful natural light flowing through the room where I was greeted with a warm welcome. I was excited to choose my own tea pot and cup and saucer to suit my mood of the moment -fun and colorful. I was surprised to hear I could choose the tea of my choice as well. Millie and her family do a nice job of arranging the tea samples so it's clear and simple what your choices of tea are. You can smell each tea so even someone experiencing tea for the first time will be sure to pick a tea they will enjoy. I took my friend who is currently pregnant a... (more)nd is careful with her caffeine intake. The tea room has each tea's make-up listed, and whether it's caffeinated or herbal. This was very helpful.
The service was warm and efficient so we were waited on immediately with our iced tea to start and our choice of teas followed by the four courses. I especially liked the chicken salad with grapes, the asparagus wrapped in filo, the fresh cream from the dairy farm for the scones, the German kinase soup, and the ladybug cookie as the final touch with the dessert. This was my second visit and i was just as pleased with this experience as my first one. It's like coming home to family. I highly recommend The Ladybug Tea Room to everyone- the avid tea goer or a first timer

This tea room is a must is uniquely different style but great none the less.

Everything was excellent--service, food, charm. Fabulous! I am crazy about tea and we tried four types that were all delicious. I loved that I got to pick my own tea cup and tea pot. I also loved that you get what is served. It was all delicious!

Have been to The Lady Bug several time and can highly recommend it. Atmosphere is great, clean and relaxing. The food is excellent and you leave feeling very satisfied and relaxed. The homemade bacon crackers are one of my many favorites! Service is great and the price is a plus too!
