Pros: Service was excellent and very accommodating. Server offered to replace our tea if we didn't care for our selection or try additional teas. She also offered to bring additional condiments for the scones. Scone was fresh baked and hot out of the oven. Location and décor was charming.
Cons: Sandwiches were stale and dry, all but deserts were served together on a plate rather than gradual courses or tiered presentation. There was no sugar tongs or extra spoon for the sugar. Music was a little too loud and it was difficult to caring on a private conversation.

This was our second visit. We were not impressed the first time, but defiantly disappointed in the second visit and unlikely to visit again.

This is a wonderful, little tea house. Very cute and cozy. It's a worth a visit. We had a fantastic lunch. The atmosphere is great and food and tea was delicious and plentiful. Although the service was slow, they were extremely friendly and hospitable. Our group had a great time and will be back again for more soon. Thank you.

My Mother, Sister and I visited the Lavender Tea house and have visited alot of others in the Portland area. We found this tea house to be a wonderful place. We were told that they recently remodeled and expanded the Tea Room. The atmosphere was very nice the food was plentiful and the desserts devine (we had to get a togo to take most of them home). We loved the hats that they had there so that we could dress up when we arrived(we weren't expecting the hats). Will certainly make this an event to do again. Thank you Jami and Staff

Saturday was my Birthday and my Husband said that I got to do what ever I wanted to do!!! So we went to the Lavender Tea house in Sherwood. My husband begrudging went with me because it was my Birthday after all. He was surprised that he had a really good time and even enjoyed the tea and sandwiches. He thought that he had died and went to heaven when the dessert platter came. I don't think that he would like to do it often so I am now making plans to go back with a few girl friends. All was wonderful, food and service. We even got to sit outside on the porch very intimate. Thank you to the Lavender Tea House.

My Friends and I visited the Lavender Tea House for my birthday Celebration and we had a wonderful time. The food was great and the service even though the restaurant was full was very good. We had a wonderful time the scones were melt in your mouth and the desserts devine. We found this wonderful place while shopping at the Hillsboro Farmers market where we first tasted the scones that they sell there. Would highly recommend to all if you are looking for a get away with your girl friends.

I was looking forward to my first trip back to Lavender Tea House since it's remodeling. Attended with several other friends and was disappointed. We had made several phone calls to ensure our reservation and to provide the 24 hr. required notice for all high teas. One member of our group arrived before the others, and after waiting awhile, was finally seated at a corner table. All other tables had pretty vases with flowers------except our table. Felt neglected by wait staff. When other friends arrived, more discussion about our reservations, and finally-----it was determined that we should be at another table. The teas were mediocre, although the teacups and saucers were pretty. The finger sandwiches all came on somewhat stale bread, and the fillings were unremarkable. I was happy to be with my friends-----but wished we had been to a more attentive tea house. I know there are better tea houses in the vicinity. So sad this was not a favorable experience.

I'm afraid I wasn't very impressed. The service was slow and unprofessional. They sat us down to a table that hadn't been cleared and then just removed the dirty dishes. The table cloth was dirty and littered with crumbs from the last party, but she went ahead and put the clean setting on that and even after I asked to have the crumbs brushed off she still didn't change the table cloth. She even became surly at that point. She only served my daughter's tea and seemed to forget mine until I asked about it and then said she had forgotten it. The sandwiches were dried out and the whole thing was over-priced. She charged twice for the lemon curd, but only served one small container with a couple of tablespoons in it (not a big deal, but annoying considering everything else.) Not an enjoyable experience. P.S. The inside was unbearably hot on an average warm day. They left the doors open so we even had bugs. The front counter and entry was messy.

I was eager to try this tea room once it re-opened after remodeling. I was surprised to find a couple areas still needing attention like worn/scuffed base boards and a seemingly incomplete backyard area. The floor seems a bit messy with bits of food and other items across it but I figured it was from earlier tables as I was visiting in the later afternoon. The food was average with one exception the curry chicken salad finger sandwiches. I was disappointed with the scones as I felt these tasted like Bisquick drop biscuits. The service was a bit slow and I attributed this to it being only myself taking tea while other larger groups were taking tea as well.

We visited this tea house due to an advertised special at the local YMCA. When we were seated I informed the server of the YMCA special and that we expected 10% off. It wasn't until we received the check that we were informed they do not participate in the YMCA program and the discount would not be honored. I felt very cheated, especially after further emails with the owner where she showed no interest in correcting misadvertisements concerning her company (she indicated it was my responsibility to correct the Y's advertisment). I found the business practices shabby at best.

A group of ladies from our church choir came for tea during Spring break. The tea was wonderful; our server kept refilling and keeping it hot, even without tea cozies.
We had the Lavender Tea and it was very tasty. The sandwiches were fresh, the scone had large crystals of sugar on the top. . . yum!! Everything was delightful. It is a drive up from Sheridan, but well worth it. Thank you!! the choir ladies from Sheridan UMC

I brought a friend for tea, this was her very first visit. The service was awesome and everyone was so nice! Great service....The quality of the food was very poor. The bread was stale, the filling was not tasty. The scone was very hard and cold, too much sugar. The tea was excellent, nice hot and tasty! The selection is great. the desserts are great!!!! The cost for tea service was too much for the quality of food that was served.

Several friends and I had tea here recently and it was a delight. I had the soup and Queen Mum's tea which was outstanding. The sandwiches are plentiful and the soup to to die for. The scones were a little sweet for my taste, but I am used to British type scones. I cannot wait to return to this fresh and delightful place.

Jamie and staff are gracious and accommodating always. Not only does this tea house have some of the best and most exclusive teas but the culinary delights are surpassed by none! Their scones melt in your mouth and the sandwich and daily soup selections are always delicious. The lemon curd should be served in a bucket! I visit as often as I can and love to bring friends, family and always out of town guests because the consistency of service, treats and ambience is always top notch!

We had a wonderful Valentines Day tea at Lavendar Tea House. The service was wonderful, we had a warm, friendly waitress and the food was very tastey. They have the most wonderful cucumber dill butter sandwiches I've ever had! My financee and I had such a wonderful time. Thank you for a wonderful Valentines Day Tea!

What a wonderful Tea I had at Lavender Tea House! Their renovation is beautiful but does not take away from the charm of their Vintage house. The food was delicious and those scones!!! amazing!! As a fellow Tea House owner, I know the hard hard work that goes in to all this detail and they are doing a wonderful job!! So happy for you Jamie!! Good luck to you always!!!
