This place is phenomal. The signature chicken salad can't be beat. I highly recommend it followed by their homemade maple walnut scones. The atmosphere is always pleasant and we can't wait to go back again.

a place back in time for an enjoying cup of tea, wonderful tales of sharons grandmother teacing her to cook and tales of ghosts living in the house.I bouight the feathered lamps and am enjoying them so much. it was like being in a place you feel youve been before in another century. My mom and i would go back in a minute. It was a feel good day. thankyou for all the wonderful things to look at , and your warmth

the food was good here but as tea room aficionados know, we go for the atmosphere as well.. the service here was quick but my friend and I would have not mind waiting and chatting if it would have meant the server was not so tense. the two women present who were in charge evidently were stressed and curt. There were only two tables occupied and ther seemed no need for this abruptness.

Tearoom Response
Lillian, I'm so terribly sorry you had such a bad experience. If anything we are known for talking constantly and inviting our guests to be part of our home. I hope you will come again as I would like very much to make this up to you and perhaps you would be willing to join me for a cup of tea. I am there on Thursdays and Saturdays but could be available on a Sunday if that would be easier. Carol.

I give Leah Mae's tea room a ten! Excellent fresh food with wonderful presentation. So delicious. Fantastic, friendly service. You will feel like you are visiting a beloved aunt who only wants to pamper you! Well worth a visit. The antiques are great too, very reasonably priced.

seriously I am a guy... heterosexual mind you and I thoroughly enjoy the food and the atmosphere my fiance dragged me in for lunch one day a few weeks ago and I have actually gone back a couple times now willingly to get food.

This is a delightfully homey and welcoming place for lunch or afternoon tea. The tearoom is nestled into a 2 level consignment store in a former train depot. Each table is set with varied china pieces and colorful table linens which gives the cozy tearoom an unpretentious, down to earth appeal. There is a wide selection of teas available, especially flavored ones. (It would be nice to see the smokey Lapsang Souchong, one of our favorites, or something similar such as Russian Caravan, added to the list.) The owner, who described several of the teas to us, also explained the brewing process as she served our individual pots. It was not a problem getting a second pot of tea once the first was finished or cold. All the food is homemade by the owner/cook and every effort is made to please each... (more)

What a unique place. Sister and I visited for the first time and had just the best salad ever, a melange of wonderful ingredients, all healthy it is known as their signature salad. The owner regaled us with tales of her grandmother Leah Mae who the tearoom is named after, she is totally down to earth and fun as well as the chef. The sweet little lady who served us was a joy, describing the menu well and just so helpful. Just like a visit to your favorite aunts house. good parking too. no hadicapped ramp though, too bad as i would have liked to bring my own aunt with bad knees who cannot do the few stairs, still a totally great place though.

Leah Mae's is a tea room with wonderfu ambiance. The owners and emplyees are most accomodating and personable, they immediately put you at ease allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The teas we chose were most pleasing and served in bone china cups. The menu, (all entrees are homemade and unique) provided a nice variety of soups, salads, quiche, meat pie and deserts. My choice of their signature chicken salad was all they said it would be and would be a choice I would make again. The broccoli and Swiss cheese quiche was unique in presentation as well as light and delicious.

My friends and I continually try to find new tea rooms to visit, we all agreed that this was one of our favorites, one we would return to many times. 2/18/08

I had the pleasure of experiencing this delighful jewel of a place on Saturday. Everything was just perfect. The variety of tea (a vanilla, jasmine, and orange blend) we chose was just wonderful and the food, well lets just say I haven't tasted anything so delicious in a long time. The signature chicken salad was pure perfection as well as the butternut soup, asparagus quiche, and pecan pie, will leave you satisfied and wanting more. I can't say enough good things about the tea, food, or the service. Val was a delight and we enjoyed speaking with her as we devoured every bit of our lunch.

Overall this is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a warm and delicious cup of tea with the added benefit of enjoying a marvelous 5-Star lunch!

Food and service is exceptional. Also had a psychic reading by a woman named Valerie and was astounded at her accuracy and really welcoming personality. Prices are reasonable and owners are so cheerful and friendly you will leave feeling you were with good friends. I belong to the Red Hat society and this fit us perfectly.

I can't say enough about Leah Mae’s Tea Room. The atmosphere is one of elegance and yet is also so cozy & warm. Their homemade food, whether you have the soup, the quiche, the meat pies, the scones or their signature salad is so good that it will leave you wanting more and so you are already anticipating another visit. The owners, Carol & Sharon, have been most successful at making each and every one of their guests feel as though they are family, here for a visit. Contrary to the hustle & bustle of today’s living, the owners beckon their guest to linger in this warm, relaxed atmosphere.

As well as the tearoom, this building is also home to two floors of reasonably priced consigned goodies. I can almost guarantee you will not walk away empty handed. I have been there numerous times and have NEVER gone there without buying at least one item. For anyone looking to have a wonderful, relaxing afternoon, you can't beat Leah Mae's Tea Room and Designed To A Tea Consignments.
