The Lexinton Tea House is a place that you love to visit and enjoy the great food and wide variety of fine teas. Its simply the best kept secret in Lexington, but not for long. It is the perfect place to have Business Lunches, Private Bridal/Baby Showers, Little Girl Princess Parties, Sweet 16 Parties or any Special Event you could think of. I always enjoy spending a few moments talking with the owners Ken and Ruth Mace who always greets you with a friendly Smile and a warm Hello.

On Saturday 09/26 my husband and I paid another visit to The Lexington Tea House. It was just too good to not write about! We always know we will enjoy one or more of the over 25 tea blends and varieties offered up by Ken & Ruth at this charming and elegant Lexington treasure. But, it is the food experience that also keeps us coming back. On this overcast, rainy and rather cool day Ken described the soup of the day as a Pumpkin with hints of cinnamon and ginger flavors. It was fantastic, warm and savory and the bistro roll was a perfect accompaniment to warm us up and get us started. I tried one of the Quiche specials. It was an inspired mix of Bacon, Corn and Basel quiche that blended perfectly with the cheese flavors! We look forward to the Pumpkin Soup and Quiche being available... (more)

My husband and I took our two grandsons (ages 8 & 13) to lunch at the Lexington Tea House on Saturday, August 28. We had visited twice before but this was our grandson’s first visit. We were greeted by Ken, of Ken and Ruth Mace - owners and hosts. Ken remembered us from our previous visits. He explained that while most Saturdays were “normal” lunch events this particular Saturday had all three of the main seating rooms reserved for special parties. He asked if we would mind sitting in the room used for the Princess Tea Parties. This proved to be a great seating option. We were joined by another family visiting this area from Tennessee. In spite of being very busy, the staff was attentive and very patient with our boys as this was their first time in a tea house. They loved the hot... (more)

My husband and I went with some friends Saturday, 8/15 for lunch. My husband said it was the first place he had been where he felt that he was treated 'special' for the entire visit. The food, presentation, atmosphere, Megan, Ken and Ruth were part of our very special day. We will definitely be visiting again soon and hope to take other members of our family for this special treat.

I have visited the Lexington Tea House twice since it's opening and have enjoyed myself thoroughly on both occasions. The old house and decor are so elegant and lovely, just the type of ambiance you expect from a tea house. The tea and food are excellent! The menu is quite diverse and reasonably priced (they even offer coupons). The first time I went I had just a sandwich and tea and came away quite full. The second time I was prepared and skipped breakfast so I could have a large lunch and got the Royal tea and my friend got the Queen's tea. Everything was delicious and served warm. The owners, Ken and Ruth, made it a point to come and speak with us both times we visited and the waitress Megan was very attentive. I live in Greensboro, but it is totally worth the drive and the time it takes to get there to visit the Lexington Tea House. I can't say enough good things about this place and would recommend it to anyone.

We have been charmed by 'our' new Tea Room that include the decor, the teas, the menu, 'our' owners and, as always- Megan. Have thoroughly enjoyed the King's Tea, the Queen's Tea, and Tea Fare.
My fourth trip for July will be to bring my Red Hat Chapter (plus), Tarts 'n' Truffles- on July 31st.
I especially enjoy the fruit; love the spinach quiche; savor the fresh salads; take my time enjoying the iced teas (too)- raspberry, etc.
We have been loyal subjects under Miss Ruby's and plan to continue under such wonderful owners- Ken & Ruth. We are also looking forward to the >2:30 pm teas and Tuesday nights.
Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome and pampered. We all need that certain place to be treated as royalty.

My wife and I drove down from Greensboro on Saturday 07/18/2009 for our first visit to The Lexington Tea House for lunch. The experience was fantastic We arrive a few minutes before 11:00am and sat on the front porch in rattan rockers. The Manor is just off Main Street an it was a relaxing 'unwind' just before the door opened promptly at 11am. There are three main seating rooms in this charming Victorian Manor. The Hunt room with a classic and warm English Study look. The Queens room with Queen Anne decor and the Garden room with bright all window seating with pastels and some bright colors to make the room our seating of choice on the sunny morning. The owners, Ruth & Ken Mace were on hand to greet, inform, and seat us.
The tea selctions are appropriate Blacks, Flavored Black... (more)

Lexington Tea House is a delightful and charming old house in Lexington, NC, where I live. I have been to many tea rooms in NC, Va, Ky, and SC. This is one of the BEST! The staff is very friendly. You are made to feel welcome. Service is great, prices are reasonable, and food is delicious. I highly recommend it.

Thank you so much for hosting the Hattitude Friends' June get together. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lexington Tea House and appreciate all that you did to make it such a fun time and enjoyable evening. The Mystery Tea was such a hoot.
