Lexington Tea House

I had lunch the other day at the Lexington Tea House and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. And yes, it is an experience, and a wonderful one. I first stepped through the doorway of this old Victorian home, then I was seated in one of several themed dining rooms. I was fortunate to have tea in the Queen's Room, which according to the owners has a Queen Anne decor. My friend and I had the British Tea Fare which was exquisite. Everything from the scones with devonshire cream to the pastries were delightful. If you have not experienced the Lexington Tea House then I highly recommend you do so.

I had lunch with a friend at the Lexington Tea House, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the tea. I am a coffee drinker usually, but I tried the ginger peach tea and it was wonderful. The lunch menu had great variety and the soup and quiche that I got was delicious. I highly recommend the Lexington Tea House for the tea, food and atmosphere.

My mother and I celebrated her birthday at the Lexington Tea House and it was just wonderful. Everything is fresh and delicious and the portions are generous. Our tea service was lovely as well. A great afternoon celebration!

I attended the Cinderella Tea with my daughters and granddaughters. The entertainment was great and the food was outstanding. We love going to the Lexington Tea House for lunches and special teas. The service is excellent and the meals even better!

Great place for lunch with a special friend. Teas are excellent and the chicken salad with grapes is the best.

Lovely atmosphere, warm hospitality, and amazing food (be sure to try the soups, they are always outstanding!). There is a great selection of teaware, tea-themed gifts, and of course tea (loose or bagged, both high quality but affordable) in the shop area as well if you want to take a bit of the teatime experience home with you. I wish I lived or worked closer so I could go more often!

Lunch at Lexington Tea House was a wonderful, special birthday gift from my daughter! Scrumptious food - from scones to chicken salad croissants, freshly made broccoli-cheese soup, fresh fruit, and strawberry cheesecake. Our food, including the delicious tea, was served in beautiful china dishes; the service was excellent -the surroundings beautiful!

I LOVE the Lexington Tea House. It is such a unique and special destination in the Piedmont Triad.

I am a regular customer because the atmosphere, food, service and hospitality are second to none. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant to all. You won't be disappointed.

This venue is wonderful. The food, atmosphere, decor and wonderful service is outstanding. We love to eat there and I also hosted a baby shower there and it could not have been more perfect. Lovely place, lovely people. Outstanding!!

I'm from Northern Virginia and was visiting family in the area. They suggested we go for afternoon tea at the Lexington Tea House. It is in a lovely old home and each room has retained it's period appeal. The food was wonderful. We had the high tea which contained enough food for the hardiest appetite. Everything was delicious and obviously made there. The cranberry tea was amazing! Worth a trip for sure.

This is my favorite tearoom to visit. The tearoom itself is beautiful, inside and out, and it's the perfect atmosphere for one to go and enjoy a 'spot of tea' with scones and Devonshire cream.

The food is wonderful, particularly the Pumpkin Soup which is my favorite, yum, and Jody is a very accomodating server who takes good care of her guests.

My daughter and I LOVE the LTH, we are from Salsibury but make the 30 min drive quite often to have some dress-up tea time. Our favorite is the Queen's Tea Fare with Ruby's chicken salad and hot chocolate mint tea *yum*

We were there on Saturday (the Lucille Duncan group of 12 from High Point). We all had a wonderful time. Everything was delightful - the atmosphere, the service, the food, the quality for our dollar. Outstanding outing with the 'girls'.

My husband and I went to the Lexington Tea Room on a Saturday and had a wonderful experience. My introduction to afternoon tea was in England in the late'80s. The tea at Lexington, reminded me so much of the wonderful experiences I had in England. Anyone wanting a truly authentic afternoon tea must go to the Lexington Tea Room! In fact, I had such a great time that I have recommended it to my friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. We are going!! I know a great time will be had by all!

I visited the Lexington Tea House this past Saturday for the first time. I am already planning another trip back. I drove about an hour and half to get there but I will do it again in a minute! The tea I had was excellent. The presentation we received with our British Tea was beautiful. Everything I put my hands on was delightfully tasty ! My favorite was the Mayfaire Tea Sandwich. They are orgasmic! I took my daughter who had a wonderful time. She enjoyed her 'Princess Tea' in which devoured in her pearl tiara she got to wear while dining ! The service was excellent. They were very busy that day but handled the hustle and bussel with grace.

What a delightful experience we had today at the Lexington Tea House!! The food was delicious, the atmosphere lovely and the food presentation artistic. It is definitely a place that we will come back to, even if it is a bit of a drive for us.

The atmosphere is so relaxing and the service and hospitality are outstanding. The owners, Ken and Ruth, are always gracious and make us feel very welcome. If I could give higher than excellent ratings for the Lexington Tea House, I would! The tea and food were delicious and all was of outstanding quality. The service and hospitality were incomparable. We were served by the owner himself and I thoroughly enjoyed his gracious manner!

What a delightful experience! My friend and I found this tea house because another was closed and the stars were smiling on us! A great find. The food was good the presentation was gorgeous and the house was all you would hope for and more. This outing was to celebrate my friend's birthday and it was a special place for a special friend! The Lexington Tea House was the venue for my parent's 50th Anniversary family party. We had the house to ourselves, and the owner served us. The Guests of Honor were thrilled and happy with the event, and the hosts were thrilled with the service, set up and price. Highly recommended for your next special event!

My daughter and I love to visit tea houses! The Lexington Tea House is one of our favorites. The owners are very sweet. The food and tea is always delicious! And the atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful!

We had a lovely afternoon celebrating the first tea party for Ava Lee, born 5/31/11. Our party of Nana, baby Mama, aunt, cousin and baby had a wonderful time; good tea, good food, good atmosphere, good conversation and excellent service. You've got to do this!

Beautiful place, friendly staff, delicious food!! My favorites are the roasted tomato basil soup, the chicken salad croissants, the scones with devonshire cream and jam, and the buttery sweet lemon bars.

And the mixed fruit is amazing. This is one of the few places that doesn't serve tasteless melon filler. (Finally, a restaurant that GETS it!)

What a delightful surprise! Lexington Tea House lived up to all my expectation and then some. The food was delicious, the service was stellar and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Can't wait to go back.

What a great tearoom! I have been to many teahouses around the country & was just delighted to find this gem! The food was superb, great service, the owners met me personally,and the tea selection excellent. The house itself is a beautiful old Victorian, lovingly restored, just perfect for sipping my favorite tea blend & relaxing!I will definately come back to the Lexington Tea House, & bring all my friends!!

This is a wonderful and fun way to experience the world of tea. The food is excellent and the owners-Ken and Ruth-are gracious hosts. The atmoshere of the old house lends itself to a great and relaxing time. You will not be disappointed with a visit to this tea room.

Every time I walk into Lexington Tea House I breathe a sigh of relaxation. In addition to the dazzling array of teas and the always wonderful food (they have amazing soups, and two great varieties of chicken salad), it is also a very relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. Each room has a different decor and feel but they are all charming. Ruth & Ken and their staff pay wonderful attention to detail are always happy to see and serve their customers, new and old. I live 45 min away so I only make it there 1-2 times a month but if I lived closer I'd be there weekly at least!

I took my mother from Idaho to lunch at Lexington Tea House today and we enjoyed the British Tea and WOW! What a treat. Highly recommended for a special occasion!

If you have NOT visited The Lexington Tea House yet I have some very sage advice. Stop reading the revues and go! You WILL NOT be dissapointed. My wife and I were forunate enough to discover this Lexington treasure just after Ken and Ruth reopened it a couple of years ago. As a British tea house its focus in on experiencing the best in tea and tea fare offerings. However it is the food and relaxing atmosphere and warmth of the total experience delivered by Ken, Ruth and the entire staff that keeps us going back. It is a great place to eat and relax...GO VISIT!

What a pleasant experience my friends and I had at Lexington Tea House on Friday! The food was delicious and served beautifully. Their sweet potato soup with a hint of spice is 'to die for'! The owners, Ken and Ruth, were very friendly and made us feel special. Jody, our server, provided excellent service even though they were really busy. The atmosphere is an elegant Victorian home that takes you back to a time when people were able to relax over tea. Our group will return very soon.

'Mommy, this place is like Mary Poppins, 'Practically perfect in every way!'' I think my 7 year old daughter, Julia, summed it up quite nicely during our recent trip. My husband took us for afternoon tea for my birthday and it was the most perfect way to spend the day. The British tea was as wonderful to taste as it was to see. The light rain falling as we arrived contributed to the feeling that we could actually be heading into a tea room in England and the cottage chic decor made for lovely surroundings. The iced green tea with pineapple was excellent, and I was impressed to find a wonderful selection of Harney & Sons Fine Teas in stock for purchase and on the menu. We had a hot pot of Paris, my favorite tea, as we discovered a new favorite place to be. Thanks for making my birthday such a treat!

First visit with friends to celebrate birthdays was wonderful. Huge selection of teas and the food was delicious! Loved the atmosphere and decor. Definitely will be visitng again soon!

I took my mom here for Mother's Day and it was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was so quaint. We'll definitely be going back!

Everything was WONDERFUL! I couldn't have asked for a better tea experience. We got WAY more food than we had expected from the British Tea. This is my new Go To tea room! Thanks Ken! :)

Went to tea house for 2 consec utive days. First day,service was wonderful. Very attentive. Food was great. Second day, they were alittle busy. Forqot to bring dessert for member of our party. Everything else was wonderful.

the girls in my family frequent the Lexington Tea House and we are addicted. We frequent often. The blueberry tea is out of this world and the staff is very friendly..

My sister and I were priveledged to have lunch here on Saturday. We were very impressed with the decor, food, service, tea and the special attention that we received. We have already decided that we will return for birthdays and special time with friends and just whenever we need time away from the busy world. This was a place that we could relax and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. We will look forward to the near future of returning to the fine cuisine and delictable tea.

My husband and I spent a lovely Valentine's evening at LTH with friends. Piano music and candlelight set the perfect ambience with good tea and a very delicious meal. I have lunched there many times--I now plan to return for another special occasion dinner in the future!

I have been to The Lexington Tea House several times and always found the food delicious and the service friendly. I have eaten lunch there and also attended the Christmas Eve breakfast last December. The Lexington Tea House has all kinds of teas and tea accessories for the tea lover. Highly recommended!

I love this place. Everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is so inviting. I work in Lexington and I often take my clients there and they love it just as much. Ken and Ruth are so nice to the guests. Try it because you will not be disappointed.

Lexington Tea House is where my best friend and I go for lunch when we want a special treat. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful, the food is excellent, and the wait staff couldn't be better. Everything about the Lexington Tea House is the best in my opinion. Stop in and see Ken and Ruth when you are in Lexington. I am sure you will be glad you did.

Lexington Tea House is a wonderful and special place to have lunch. The Tea fares are so much fun, you get a variety of food presented on tiered trays. You feel and are treated like royalty when you eat at the tea house. The food is wonderful and very reasonable, eating here is a real treat. Ken and Ruth the owners are fantastic as well as the wait staff, they make you feel so at home and welcome.If you are from this area or visiting you must stop and have lunch or tea.

I frequent Lexington Tea House approximately once a month. The tea is first quality and the Tea Fare menus are excellent! My favorite is the Royal Tea but everything I have tried is wonderful from the sandwiches to the quiches to the scones and devonshire cream! Prices are reasonable and the owners, Ken and Ruth, are very friendly and knowledgeable. The tearoom itself is lovely...set in an historic 1920's home. You will not be disappointed making this one of your luncheon stops...

I just love the Lexington Tea House.... Both Ken and Ruth and the staff are amazing!!! I always receive the best service when I go. The food is wonderful with great portions. Prices are very reasonable. I would recommend to everyone I know to visit the Tea house. I have never been disappointed! You just have to try the lemon scones.....!!!Can't wait to go again and again.....
