No way this tearoom should be #38. Food was excellent, service very attentive, beautiful tearoom. The owner made you feel as though you were the most important guests she had in her 'home' for tea

This is one of the prettiest tea rooms I have ever had the privilege to have afternoon tea in. And the tea and food was wonderful. And to top it all off, Cathy the owner is so warm and friendly. I live 2.5 hours from the tearoom, but I know I'll make the trip again because the Madison Tearoom is worth the drive.

Rambling Lady Bugs of Evans, Ga. made a visit to this charming Tea House in Madison, Ga. I read about the Tea House in the Tea Time Magazine and wanted to make a visit with several of my red hat friends. i invited the Classy and Sassy Red Hatters of Augusta, Ga. to join us for this visit to the Tea House. The Hostess and owner, Kathy Russell, was very pleasant, warm and wanted us to feel at home trying on the many fancy Touring Hats she had on display. We had a wonderful time.

It did not seem like we were getting enough to eat because the portions are small but we were very satisfied and happy red hatters when we left. Mrs. Russell had some beautiful items for sale such as tea pots, small tea spoons with samples of tea, tea pot lamps and clocks. It was a delightful experience for all of us. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Thanks Mrs. Russell.

Enjoyed my first visit to this charming tearoom the week before Christmas and was absolutely delighted! The owner, Kathi, very graciously answered every question my friend and I had, and she even took time out of her busy morning to take photos of us wearing the beautiful hats they have available. At first I was surprised that a 'house blend' of tea is offered, but it was so very good (and properly brewed!) that we didn't ask for another, though we were told others were available if desired. The food was delicious, fresh, and attractively presented--I was stuffed when I left and couldn't even eat everything! Our server kept our cups filled and she, too, made us feel quite at home at the Madison Tea Room. The gift shop had a nice selection of items, several of which I took home with me. I'll definitely be going back!

The owner was extremely rude to us (warning us to 'stay away fom the tables in the back room because there's real china on them') , hovering while we looked at the merchandise as rhough she feared we would steal something and correcting her manager in front of us. The bread was stale, the food uninspiring to say the least. There are no options except what they being you. Only one type of tea is poured and that had very little flavor. The 'cream' for the tea is milk and the clotted cream tasted like it was out of a can. It is WAY overpriced at $21 a person. I'll have to say the service was great for us. The owner should thank her lucky stars she has them to divert your attention away from the lackluster food and tea service.

We were not given preserves nor lemon curd. The sandwich bread was cold and stale. No teapot for each table - rather we had to hope someone would finally see out empty cups. Overpriced and disappointing.

I was very dissapointed in the food and service at this tea room. You were given only one choice of tea. the very petite sandwiches were on stale bread..egg salad(?)...and the portions were very small. I know this was a 'Tea', but for $21, it was excessive. (gratuity included on check)
