Variety: My daughter, mother and I have been to tea in places all over. I was very disappointed when we came here as this tea room is closer to our house than most. The server told us that scones are supposed to be hard as a rock. I have never had that before in my life. I will say our tea was loose leaf and good. The other problem that I had was that there were so many flies inside the tea room that it really distracted from the experience. My daughter was quiet and I was told that she maybe was not suitable to go to tea. I had to explain that she had been to tea many times before. I will not go back. |

Variety: My friend and I enjoyed a pleasant spot of tea here yesterday. Downtown Warrenton is fortunate to have The Madison Tea Room presided over by owner Susan who takes pride in both serving tea and telling stories of the historic building. The homemade croissants are perfect. Don't miss tasting Susan's tea creation - Hibiscus Tea. It is wonderful. |

Variety: my friend and I have had tea in tea rooms all over northern VA. Our experience here was not good. The owner is rude, plain and simple. She told me once that she doesn't like the Red Hat Ladies because they take up too much time at the tables and they're too boisterous. sheesh....I think she is taking herself way too seriously. |

Variety:
My mother and I were in town to celebrate our birthdays by exploring Old Town Warrenton and decided to have tea. As it was a Tuesday afternoon, we had the entire place to ourselves, and enjoyed a beautiful and peaceful tea together. |

Variety: I was on here checking out tea room's for my mother and I to try out. I have to say after the comment by the tea room on the last comment, I will not be coming to this tea room ever! I do not know 'Kelly' or the owner but feel it is ridiculous that some criticism cannot be given and taken with more grace. It sounds like this tea room owner needs to learn how to 'become a lady'. I have been to many tea rooms and one that hosted my daughter's 7th birthday party with 8 girls. Part of being a tea room owner I feel should include being a gracious host and have patience towards children who are there for a new experience. I believe a heartfelt apology should have occured under this comment instead of another slam at the customer! |

Variety: Had it not been for rudeness from the owner my daughters and I would have had a wonderful experience. While I was in the process of informing one of my girls to lower her voice, the owner thought she needed to take over and humiliated her by saying 'There are other people here.' In front of the entire shop this brought my daugther to tears. When I later tried to explain that I was 'on it' the owner told me it was high time that my daughter learn to be a lady. The employees were sweet and wonderful but the owner is insulting and offensive. |

Tearoom Response
Sorry Kelly, not everyone thinks loud obtrusivebehavior by your little princess is acceptable. |
