Overview
The Madison Tea Room was founded in 2001, in the historic Madison Barber Shop. Don't be fooled by barber pole outside. We have transformed the building into a quiet, sophisticated retreat from your hectic day. Come join us for a true English Tea experience and the best scones you have ever tasted. All of our dishes are made on site. After tea feel free to browse our antique selection and pick out some gourmet food items from the attached Jimmie's Market, the oldest business on Main Street

Variety: My friend came to visit so we drove out to Madison Tea Room to try something new. We had a wonderful time! The food was fantastic, and it’s in a great little town. I loved the scones so very much that I had to buy a half dozen to take home with me! They are homemade and served warm and with plenty of cream. The room is like being in an antique shop and everything you see is for sale. It’s an interesting story so ask when you go, the staff is very friendly. We will be back and can't wait to sample the new fair, and enjoy another delicious scone! |

Variety: I had my daughter's sixth birthday party here and arranged for the 'tea fairy' to visit during our party. The girls were very attentive as the tea fairy shared etiquette and information about teas and life in general. We will certainly be back. I would recommend the tea room for parties, celebrations and a cup of tea. The 'tea fairy' was a hoot! |

Variety: My Ladies Group went to Tea this last week-end and it was our first experience at this particular Tea Room and we were very happy with everything about our experience. The atmosphere was just what you look for in a Tea, there was soft music, which we could hear but didn't interfer with our conversration and we were seated at an ample size table that accomodated the 4 of us with full tea. Best of all, the room was very quiet and tranquil. The teas offered were wonderful and the food was very good. When we preferred a different choice we were immediately accomodated. The Scones were the best we'd ever had. We plan on returning again and again. Kim 5/5/08 |

Variety: My daughters and sister had a surprise birthday tea party for me at Madison's, and it was perfect in every way. I had been there two other times when I took my sister, and then a friend, for their birthdays so my family knew that I loved it. It is quaint and charming, yet casual and comfortable. The hostess was delightful--very attentive and efficient, with a perfect personality that led to the gaiety of the celebration. The table settings are beautiful. There are so many wonderful teas I couldn't begin to name them all. For food, we had either quiche with green salad or a croissant with chicken salad and mini-sandwiches, followed by scones with a variety of spreads. Everything was delicious! A favorite place in Old Town. |

Variety: Had a wonderful relaxing tea on President's Day. We each tried completely different menu selections. The red pepper soup was extremely delicious. Tea items and other interesting antiques on display and available for purchase. Highly recommend. |
