Food: My group of girls and I travel to many places to have tea and I was very pleased with Magnolia Tea Room. The chicken salad is great, the service was fantastic and friendly. I also like that you can come in just for lunch and don't need a reservation like some snobby places. The only drawback is that I found the high tea a little too 'fancy', I just like traditional tea sandwiches & scones, not all the fancy additions that Magnolia tea Room offers. |

Food: My daughter and I were escaping life for a few days and decided that an afternoon tea was needed on the way to our hideaway. We found Magnolia Tea Room on the internet and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was beautiful and quaint. The service was extremely helpful and knowledgable but the food... what a dream! The chicken casserole...YUM! But the scones were so addictive that we unsuccessfully tried to buy the rest 'to go'. We continued on our way but made a detour on the way home to stop and pick up 2 dozen scones (and the clotted cream) for home. We had called ahead with our order and everything was packaged carefully and waiting for us with a big bow! The clotted cream was double packaged in styrofoam and then ice and stayed cold for the 2 hour trip. We will be returning SOON! |
