I have to say that I don't think the last unkind review was warranted at all. My daughter and I visited the Magnolia Terrace a few weeks ago and had a really nice time. It was not the fanciest tearoom we have ever been to, but I thought they did a really nice job. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were amazed at the extensive menu that included both English and Australian dishes. We both had high tea which was $16.95 (a decent price) which included soup in a cute tea cup, finger sandwiches, a variety of desserts and of course a pot of tea. Some of the pro's: nice presentation, loved the framed tea cups on the wall and the tea display, friendly server and a huge menu including a list of teas. Cons: location in a strip plaza near a liquor store, signs on door about Groupon coupons... (more)

Went to this establishment on three different ocassions , what a dreadful experience . The room is decorated with cheap accessories ( think nine year old princess want-to- be's with lots of walmart specials) . The food is horrible to say the least ,the quiche is really scrambled eggs with veggies added for good measure , the scones are dry, flavorless flour concoctions, really they are barely edible ! The service is very slow and the prices are a bit high. For a real teahouse experience I suggest you skip this place . Three times is not the charm for this place !

We've been to Magnolia's many times, and have always enjoyed the food and the leisurely atmosphere. Recently tried the Empress Tea Room in Tampa, and we have to say that Magnolia's has them beat! Hope Magnolia's will be around for a long time to come.

I love the new look of the Tea Room Magnolia. You have provided such a wonderful place in Hernando county to relax. The tea and food is so awesome. I love the selection of tea sandwiches and desserts. I hope you bring back the shabby chic look that you had before, but any how the spring colors are beautiful too. The tea butlers are refreshing. Nice young men learning how to properly address and serve ladies. They are young so I know theres room for improvement. I have to admit I'm grateful to see your giving them a chance. Keep up the great work Magnolia. We will return again and again.

What a pretty little tea room! We had high tea at Magnolia and found it so wonderful. There was a huge selection of tea sandwiches and home made desserts, along with a cute teacup of soup, pot of tea and quiche. The food was so delicious! we will return soon. The staff was dressed in smart attire and the chefs in cute feminine chef coats. The decore of the tea room didnt look like the photos, but I understand they recently relocated to a larger space.Very pretty spring colors! We cant wait to come back.

What a wonderful Tea Room. I can;t believe anyone would say a bad thing about it. Sure sometimes the service is slow, but it's not a fast food restaurant!! Tea takes time to brew, it's not instant Tea. Someone said the food isn't consistent, well that there tells me it's home made...lol Each time we have been there, the food is made to order, so it's fresh! Not like other places that pre-make everything so it's not fresh. This tea room is perfect the way it is, so don't change anything Magnolia, keep up the great job. We are so glad you brought such a wonderful place to our little town.

I am so excited that we found this Tea Room. Not many tea rooms are children friendly, but this one is. They went out of their way to make sure our day was perfect. We celebrated my mothers birthday along with my daughter and self. They gave my mother a special birthday cupcake and played the most adorable princess birthday song for her.Thank you Magnolia Terrace Tea Room!!

This little tea room is probably one of best I have ever been too!! With over 100+ teas to try, it took me a while to decide but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Just a delight!

While we never thought the taste of the food was exceptional, my daughter and I always enjoyed going to Magnolia Terrace Tea Room when it was in it's original location. We visited the newer location a few times and figured they had to work out some kinks. I arranged a visit with some friends and my daughter in Nov. of 2012 (I have just joined Tea Map, thus the late review). We had always had very good service from Mary Ellen (I think that is her name) but for some reason that day we had a young man who did not know anything about the tea, food variety, salads. There were a few young men serving that day and it just seemed to me none of them had any idea of how to serve let alone explain the menu or answer questions. We had a few people at our table who did not want hot tea. We had to ... (more)

Went to the Magnolia Terrace Tea Room and Bistro and was very disappointed. First of all, the ambiance was not as cute as the pictures on site show. There were no ribbons of color on chairs or outside seating as shown.

Secondly, the service was incredibly slow. We waited 15 minutes before our waiter ever came and gave us instruction that we all could choose our own kind of tea, etc... Because we pre purchased a group package from Groupon. It took the waiter 10-15 minutes to return with tea.

We finally got our tea and 2 of the pots were the wrong tea. We didn't say anything because we had figured that would be another set back to the already slow service.

Third issue... I asked the waiter about the Orange Ginger Tuna salad which he knew nothing about. How it wa... (more)
