If you have not been to this Tea Room, you don't knoe what your missing!! The old home is wonderful and the decor isn't over the top as most tearooms go. They have a love room called the Garden Room that looks out over the beautiful yard. The food is excellent. Worth the drive from Franklin!! Can't wait to come again soon.....

I loved Merriman's! I had both lunch and brunch there. The Tea Time Sampler was great. You must try the loaded potato salad! Also, I enjoyed eating brunch in the 'glass' room. The owner's were very friendly and even sat down at our table to visit. Be sure and make this a stop when going through Nashville!

Food is exellent ! Service was so- so, we had to ask for our refills. The room we set in was like being in a freezer. I guess thats how they sale so much tea !
Hopefully next time, we will have a better waitress and it will be warmer.

Pat, I am so sorry that your service was not up to par. I would like to make this up to you on your return. I apologize about the could. Our 150 year old home is so hard to keep warm on the really cold days. I hope to see you soon.

Our first time was a first rate experience. Everything was delicious and service was great, but the history of this old property was fascinating. For those like us who like to visit different tea rooms across the state, or the country, you won't be disappointed here.

Merrimans has become my weekly event for lunch since moving to their new location. I love to spend time there alone, with friends or as an excellent choice for a biz lunch - pleasant atomosphere for all purposes. The chilled fruit soups offered this summer were every bit as good as those served on the finest luxury cruise ships and their salads are always fresh and crispy. Tea preparation is just right with the brew perfect every time and the warmers to keep the pot temperature just right down to the last drop. I can't wait to take some gals there for the afternoon tea very soon. When they say British style they mean it - step out to the side yard for croquet after for a jolly good change of pace.

Visiting Merriman's is a must on our visits to Tennessee. They are a little off the beaton path, but they are worth the effort.
