We went to Miss Lucys for an early Mothers Day present for my mother and my aunt. There were 5 of us, 2 of whom are vegetarians. When I made the reservation, I just mentioned that a couple of the people were vegetarians and asked if any of the sandwiches were vegetarian. They said yes, their cucumber sandwiches were and they would make a notation by our reservation. Our host, Cheryl, was very cheerful and extremely nice. She listed five teas to choose from icluding Jasmine with flowers, blueberry, apple crunch, white chocolate mousse, and lemon zest. We tried all except the apple crunch and white chocolate mousse, due to the fact that by the end we were all stuffed. The scones and muffins were delicious and warm, and Im surprised we didn't need more clotted cream the way my mother wa... (more)s puttin it on everything, it was so good. The tea sandwiches were excellent and there were two vegetarian choices out of the three. We were served a strawberry chicken salad, traiditonal cucumber, and a meditteranean herb wrap. All were delicious and my sisters raved about the veggie ones. The soup we had was raspberry. When she said this, we were all intrigued, but it was delicious. It was hot and creamy and not too sweet. The bread pudding for dessert was amazing! The tea came in teapots hand packed into tea sachets. She did inform us that they had changed tea companies, just in case we had been there before, and it was delicious. After enjoying our afternoon we shopped the gift shop and walked out with quite a few things. All of the staff was amazingly efficient, and gracious. I would highly recommend this tearoom for a relaxing afternoon. We are planning to make the drive from Metro Detroit again soon.

I have been here several times and enjoyed each occasion. One of the teas was a special holiday tea that was festive and delightful. Our party of 6 expanded to 7 when we invited a lone tea-taker to join us and she did. Miss Lucy's is the kind of tearoom where strangers become friends soon.
