Delightful experience in a delightful town.

I've been to several tearooms in different states. This is the first one I tried in VA and am SO happy I did. With the variety of teas, there is something for every taste and the food was REALLY good. This one is good for a return visit!

The high quality tea and top of the line service has been bringing me back to Miss Minerva's Tea Room time and time again. The atmosphere is so peaceful and the selection of tea is fantastic. I say, change nothing; you all have already found perfection.

A visit to Miss Minerva's always leaves me feeling refreshed and well-fed. The teas are lovely, food delicious and beautifully presented, friendly staff encourages lingering and the soothing ambiance makes a nice long natter with a companion a joy.

Miss Minerva's tea room is an excelent way to make your day brighter. Service is friendly and welcoming, food delicious, and environment peaceful. Definately recommend.

A group of 13 Red Hat ladies from Gainesville, VA enjoyed high tea at Miss Minerva's on April 4. The atmosphere is cozy and calming. We all enjoyed a delicious assortment of a scone with clotted cream and jam and various savories and desserts. It was a delightful experience -- we will be back. Thank you Pat, Monica and Megan.

I always enjoy going to Miss Minerva's whenever I'm in Culpeper. I loved going there and getting dressed up for tea as a child, and I still love going there now. If you are a tea lover, or are just looking for a lovely lunch in a great atmosphere, visit Miss Minerva's!

I love visiting this tea room! The tea and food are delicious. highly recommend it to anyone who loves tea. The scones are a personal favorite of mine. Perfect with a pot of Mademoiselle Grey tea.

I have taken Tea here many times over the years. In the past, I always come away happy. This time must have been unusual. My husband and I ordered a full tea for two. The menu was a bit disappointing. Only one sandwich-a sliver of a croissant with chicken salad. The rest of the savories were too much alike. Almost everything else was something with an artichoke or spinach spread on it: cherry tomato, cucumber slice, small slice of bread, even the 'quiche lorraine' was really quiche florentine (spinach. The menu was not varied enough-though each item on it's own was okay. If one did not like spinach or artichoke (my husband) they had little to please. Need more sandwiches to offset the produce with a spread on it. The scones tasted like a mix and the desserts-only two items: a sliver of st... (more)rawberry cake (cake mix?) and a tiny cookie. No chocolate (so good with tea!).
The tea (both of ours) was weak-like they used less than the proper amount for the pot. I would prefer to pay $5 more and have more first course choices and a few more desserts.
I would come again-based on overall past experiences. I hope they consider varying the menu more and add a few more items.

I have visited Miss Minerva’s Tea Room several times over the last year, and have always had friendly service, wonderful tea, and enjoyed a quiet & cozy atmosphere. They have a vast selection of loose leaf teas, which can be sniff-sampled at the table. I’m sure they have close to 70 teas. Deciding which one to try is always the difficult part, but the servers are helpful and quick to offer suggestions.

I would consider it a 'must visit' for anyone passing through Culpeper, or as a destination for tea aficionados.

We so enjoyed our lunch last Friday. Food was very tasty and a nice variety. The tea selection was wonderful. We will be back.

Three of us had such fun that we plan to return with others so they can have the experience. The scones were wonderful and the tea seems endless. Nice. Pleasant to sit without hurry and chat with friends.

My first visit (but not the last) to Miss Minerva's Tea Room. After shopping with the girls, we enjoyed tea, wonderful scones (absolutely delicious), AND I chose hats for all the ladies to wear while we enjoyed our tea. What a treat this was and what fun. I'll look forward to my next visit.

We enjoyed a love tea at Miss Minerva's Tea Room for my daughters birthday. Every thing was perfect and each one of us had fun choosing a tea from a wide varity. The food was delicious and looking forward to a return visit.

My husband and I love to take tea in Culpeper with Miss Manerva. We are 'scone snobs' and find the scones here to be the best.

The most delightful place. My husband and I love to drop in. It's in a great location with easy parking in charming Culpeper. The variety of teas is remarkable, the welocme is always warm the service is attentive. But the outstanding 3 tiered platter filled with a variety of sandwiches, scones and cakes is what brings us back. This place is not to be missed.

My sisters and I always make a time when they're in town to visit Miss Minerva's Tea Room...it has become our secret getaway and time to relax with the perfect pot of tea location. We have visited frequently, in all seasons, and have never had a disappointment in the food or service.

My mother, friend and I usually meet up over Christmas break to catch up and enjoy the tea and yummies...My mom and I love to go there whenever we can.. always a treat!!

Our 1st time to visit was right after Christmas. We enjoyed selecting our teas from a variety of selections. The food was wonderful - especially the fresh scones and homemade pimento cheese spread. Everyone was warm and friendly in this unique setting. We will go back when next in town!

My friends and I meet for Christmas tea each December. We always have delicious teas to choose from and tasty food items for our English tea.

My daughter, our friend Jane and I enjoy our Holiday tradition of meeting for tea at Miss Minerva's Tea Room. There are so many wonderful loose teas to choose from (my daughter and I chose the Christmas spice tea). The finger foods are always delicious and we love the scones. Please visit this tea room if you haven't already. You will thoroughly enjoy it.

We are indeed fortunate to have an authentic tea room in our region. We visited just before Christmas with our nephew who loves tea. We ordered tea for three which was a meal in itself. Wonderful savories, croissant chicken salad sandwich, and sweets were included and we each had an individual pot of different teas to try. Our nephew loved it and we look forward to returning soon

I got together with some college friends this past weekend at Miss Minerva's. The tabletop tea carousel allowed us to “sniff” any teas we wanted that were also completely described in the brochure provided at the table. We selected multiple varieties and shared them to give everyone a taste. The finger food provided was an excellent selection and of ample quantity; enjoyed the scones with the condiments. We wished we had remembered the room in the back where you can pick out hats, stoles, necklaces, etc. to wear for your vintage tea experience – we’ll have to do that the next time.

Oh what a uniquely delightful time I had at Miss Minerva’s Tea Room this past Wednesday, 12 December 2012! I’ve never written a restaurant review before. Miss Minerva’s was recommended to me for lunch so highly during a recent shopping adventure that I had to try it. In this day and age when I am so often just a number in some overly rushed public space with rather routine selections, Miss Minerva’s was a true joy. I ordered the full English Tea with organic Cheeky Peach hot tea, the latter recommended by my neighboring diners. Perfect, just perfect. My beautiful plate containing a variety of tea sandwiches, bite-sized savories and desserts was like a jewel box with each “trinket” better than the last. Oh I was full by the end, but with delectable tastes and sensations left behind. ... (more) I can’t go anywhere else now. I only hope to come with a friend next time because the Tea for Two selections come on a glorious tiered serving tray! With such exquisite food and drink and a marvelously charming owner and staff. . .why would I go anywhere else?

We are a group of ladies who have had tea at Christmas for over 25 years. After a few of us retired, we began searching for a 'tea room' that would compliment those we had visited in Washington. This tea room is 'top notch' and competes with 4-star hotel teas we attended over the years. Any one who enjoys good food, great tea selections and a wonderful ambiance, should visit Ms. Minerva's. It is outstanding.

This is the second time that my sister, grandmother, and I have had the chance to have a wonderful lunch at Miss Minerva's. The first time we went they were still at Tea and Roses and that was where my sister and I decided we like tea. Besides the lovely preperation and taste of the food, we all love to dress up. We have a good laugh while we are there and it is a great place to just relax and have fun. I love Miss Minerva's and the people who give their time to make sure the customers are enjoying every second.

The most interesting selection of teas I've ever experienced. The decor is a welcome change from most 'Victorian' or 'Shabby chic'; rather, clean-look - very pleasant, welcoming! The food is just what you look forward to experiencing in a tea shop. The service was also top-notch!

Because of the wonderful atmosphere, food and friendly staff, Miss Minerva's has become our favorite place to 'get away from it all.' So glad to hear that breakfast might be a possibility soon. This was my first experience in a tea room. I met a group of women there to celebrate the birthday of a friend. We had such a lovely time - the atmosphere was relaxing and fun at the same time - with a perfect touch of whimsy. I definitely plan to return.

My friends and I were very impressed with the quality of the food and the service was impeccable! We will definitely go back.
