My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our English Tea today, April 11, at Miss Minerva's. A hobby of ours is visiting various tea rooms and this one ranks up there with the best. Enjoyed the authentic decors. One of many great dining places in Culpeper. Miss Minerva's staff reflect the cheery friendly atmosphere found everywhere through the quaint town of Culpeper.

More than met our expectations. Delicious, comforting experience. Really, the only thing missing was the cozy, as another reviewer pointed out.

Our monthly tea group visited here in March 2014 for a delightful tea. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Food was tasty and sufficient - it would have had to wow me to get an excellent - just the same I would return. We loved the individual pots of tea so we did not have to decide as a group what to share. And there was such a variety of teas - Oh My!

My daughter and I stopped by Miss Minerva's on a whim. We had the most incredible visit. The food was fantastic, especially the Orange Coolers, and the tea was lovely. I can't express my thanks enough to Miss Monica for making us feel like family. I'm adding Miss Minerva's to one of my favorite places in the world!

My friend and I visited Miss Minerva's Tea Room for a birthday celebration. It was my first visit and I was so favorably impressed. The service was excellent. We never felt rushed so we enjoyed a leisurely lunch. The tea and food was excellent. We even enjoyed the selection of hats available if we wanted to wear them. I was so impressed and plan to return for other special events.

My teenage granddaughters ask to go back to Miss Minerva's when they come to visit. This is where they learned to LIKE tea. They no longer choose to dress up but have their favorite teas to enjoy! Loved the scones too.

I had planned a stop at Miss Minerva's Tea Room to begin our 15,000 Day Anniversary. The traffic and weather were so bad I was afraid we would be unable to make it before checking in at our B&B. As it turned out we made it right after the lunch crowd had cleared out for the day. As always the selections of teas were wonderful. Having Celiac disease makes our tea room adventures tough. But, Miss Minerva's always has great food selections even to cover my diet. What a great way to start a great weekend. Look forward to coming back soon.

My family and I have been to Miss Minerva's several times, and we always enjoy the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the tea and meal. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. The tea is always well brewed and not bitter, and the food selections are varied enough to please most palates.

I have been to quite a few tearooms and Miss Minerva's is, by far, my favorite. Non-stuffy relaxing atmosphere (including a great music selection), great customer service, an incredible selection of high end tea, thoughtful menu options (you can tell they know their customer and the trends without being 'trendy'), and wonderful food.

If you love tearooms, you must go here. If you've never been, the wonderful folks here will step you through the process with a smile and spoil you for any other tearoom you happen to walk into.

My friend and I were in Culpepper shopping on a rainy day recently and popped in for lunch. The room has a lovely classic decor of cream and golds, matching tea service at each table, and comfortable chairs. The server was knowledgeable and we 'sniffed' many teas before deciding on our two. The food was excellent and priced fairly. Not over filling. Miss Minerva's is strictly a tea service venue, without any luncheon choices of sandwiches and soap, which would be a nice alternative. The tea pots are large and you definitely get all you can possible drink, however, since the pots are so large, and without a tea cozy for insulation, the tea cooled before we were half finished. I highly recommend this establishment and will return myself with someone, I am sure, in tow.
Regards

I loved the tearoom experience as I am from the UK and enjoy a nice cup of tea in the afternoon. The variety of teas and food was great, delicious and well presented. The waitress was helpful and cheerful. However, I think it would be a great asset if small cake forks were given as some of the items were a bit messy, and also tea cosies for the teapot would be wonderful as by the time I got to my last cup of tea, the tea was cold. Not good for a Brit! Loved the ambiance - very relaxing.

A friend and I took my two granddaughters (ages 7 and 8) to the tearoom. It was a delightful experience. They especially enjoyed dressing up and they also enjoyed the Tea for Two!

This was my first visit here. The atmosphere was very nice and tranquil. It was very cozy. The food was also very good. Our server was very nice and attentive. The decor in the tea room was a bit sterile though, it needs more color and vibrancy. Altogether our experience was very pleasant and it was very relaxing.

I love Miss Minerva's. I have taken countless guests there and they have enjoyed it as much as I do. Personally I think it should be the number one tearoom, as I have been to Pinkadilly's and was not as impressed as I am with Miss Minerva's. Being able to smell the types of tea before you order is very appealing, there are tastes and varieties for everyone. It's got a great atmosphere whether you're going as a couple, with family, or even with kids who want to dress up in silly hats. Their tea for two is the perfect amount for two people, I leave happily full every time. What is also unique about this place is they change their desserts and sandwiches offered, so you never know what you might get to try! Highly recommend it to anyone of any age. Even if you're not a tea lover, this is a must-do! It makes going to a tearoom and enjoyable experience for anyone. Not to mention the service is provided by kind, sincere, delightful people.

I went here with my mom, two of my sisters, my brother in law and my husband. It's truly a lovely place with a large tea selection. The presentation of all the choices is unique and lends itself to experiencing the smell and feel of the dry leaves. All teas are whole leaf. Each one of us enjoyed our selections. The little scones were fabulous!
