This is NOT a tearoom and shouldn't be considered so on this website. We were very disappointed, especially located in Roswell. My friend and I have visited several Tea Rooms throughout the Atlanta area. We asked for High Tea and received lunch on a plate which was overpriced and lacking of taste. The LOOSE TEA IS EXTRA - AMAZING!! The desert consist of Sara Lee pound cake, and frozen Sara Lee mini eclaires, cream puffs along with Kroger Two-bite Brownies! They should have gone to Trader Joe's to get some fresh food. A real Tea Room always has cloth napkins and china. The service was lacking and the atmosphere was not pleasant and was extremely noisy. We felt we had wasted our money. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

My friend and I go here for lunch often. I have visited other Tea Rooms around north side of Atlanta. What I found is that the Chicken Salad and the Pasta Salad are the best out of the 3 Tea Rooms I have visited. The one problem I have with this one is that I have to choose from Tea Bags instead of a list of fresh Teas that I can try.
They have a great variety of foods that even a guy will go with us.

Cute place in historic Alpharetta but needs improvement and had no air conditioning on 8-18-07 from 3:30 till 5:30pm and the outside temp. was about 101 and it was actually cooler outside leaving at 5:30pm. Everything else was fair. Loved the tiny signature chicken salad in the tablespoon size shell but the other chicken salad was bland. We had quiche, pinwheel, cresent and chicken salad (bland) and mini shell with a small spoon of signature chicken salad, small cup of friut salad, cheese cake slice,2 very hard scones with whip cream, and we brough in our own very good bridal shower cake. The iced tea was flavorful but the ice was melted and not very cold. Wine bottle was set in the middle of the table with no wine cooler but was chilled and tasty. Another shower (baby) had to exit through out room to leave in the middle of the shower. Noisy and hard to hear but very fun anyway. I might try it again for a breakfast or lunch with only a few guest and give another try.

Mittie's has a lot of potential, and sadly, it is not near attaining it. The building is cute, but innefficiently designed, causing cooks to cross the dining room, through tables of guests, to go from the oven area to the refrigeration area.
The staff was friendly and kind, but they seemed frazzled and underdressed for a Victorian tea room.
We made reservations for the high tea, which we have had at several other tea rooms. The savory plate was quite good, but the dessert tray was nothing special. In fact, half of the desserts came from the frozen food section of a warehouse store, and the eclairs and cream puffs were still partially frozen.
But the worst offense was the selection of beverages included in the high tea. They only offered bagged tea, iced tea, and... (more) soda with the high tea. Choosing from the menu of loose leaf teas would have cost extra. It is ridiculous to have paid $18.95 for the high tea and then not have the option to select any loose leaf tea, the centerpiece of a high tea, from the menu and have the price already included in the cost. Even if they have to increase the cost of the high tea to accommodate the loose leaf teas, it would be a great improvement to have actual tea included in the high tea.
