I attended a baby shower at this tearoom yesterday and was disappointed on all levels. The most obvious deficiency was the lack of air conditioning. The entire party of twelve women, including one who is eight months pregnant, was sweltering in 95 degree heat, with a small portable air conditioner providing no relief. Upon contacting the manager to ask if they were aware of the air conditioning situation, I was informed that they had been aware of the issue and had been trying to fix it for a few days. Unfortunately, no apology was offered and the manager did not seem to think it was appropriate to inform the party ahead of time about this situation. In comparison to other tearooms, I found the food to be mediocre and not representative of a real tea room experience. The sandwiches a... (more)

To advertise a high tea and then serve only tea in bags instead of good quality tea, NO scones, deserts that were bought at Sam's -is certainly lacking to be a high tea. I have been to many tea rooms throughout the USA - I would not return.

The high tea was everything thing I expected and more!!! I was served a variety of food on the lunch plate just to name a few, spinach and portabello quiche, to die for chicken salad on a croissant and fresh fruit. Then we were presented with a three tier dessert tray that had a wonderful assortment of bite size treats. You leave satisfied and sooo full!!!

15 friends gathered for afternoon tea. The service we received was delightful, friendly and prompt. We were served a pretty-looking tray with a good cucumber sandwich, a muffin and chocolate strawberry- all delicious. However, I was terribly disappointed with the rubbery cookie-like item when scones were promised. Shame on you for putting out bought,half-frozen cream puffs and pre-made spiral sandwiches.
Mittie Bulloch Roosevelt would NOT approve of her namesake tea room serving anything but homemade, southern excellence! Nor were the cafeteria style tea cups appropriate for bearing Mittie's name. I hope in this darling location, to see Mitties live up to it's reputation as a gem in our community.

I am new to Roswell and took an out-of-town friend to Mittie's for High Tea. We were sorely disappointed by the offerings. The $18.95 per person High Tea included only tea bags, not a pot of tea. A pot of tea for two averaged an additional $7.50. The crust of the quiche was rubbery and limp. The 'assortment of scones, sweet breads, and other sweet treats' advertised on the website did not in fact include scones, and the small 'sweet treats' all appeared to be store-bought; many were still partially frozen.

Recently visited Mitties Tea Room in Roswell. It seemed more spacious and calm than the past locations. I went with a friend and we enjoyed the food (so delicious and different than any other restaurant)and the ambience which is English country cottage.
The waitress was friendly and we were greeted and bade goodbye! Who does that anymore?

I'm afraid I was dissappointed in the Roswell Mittie's. I had decided what I wanted based on the menu from their website, but when I arrived, the menu was not the same. They didn't have the chocolate chai and they didn't have roasted potatoes and fruit with the brakfast aas stated on-line. I wonder if that was the menu for the Alpharetta restaurant. It just wasn't anything special as I had hoped a tearoom would be. I'd rather drive the extra 10 miles and go to the Tea Leaves and Thyme tearoom in Woodstock if I want to take friends somewhere special. Otherwise, it's a nice restaurant.

I went to eat at Mitties a couple weeks ago and sat outside. It was very hot so the owner brought out a fan and turned it toward us. I thought that was very kind of them to do. The food was brought out very quickly and was excellent. Needless to say I will definutely be going back there for lunch.
