Food: This was not a gourmet tea room but a wonderfully prepared three course meal set with beautiful china and crystal. There were antiques and vintage hats of all kinds one could wear while enjoying the ambiance of graciousness itself. I have never ever enjoyed a meal out so much. We were a party of five in celebration of my mother's 80th birthday and a better time could not have been had. The food was served piping hot (pork loin, brussel sprouts, real macaroni and cheese)and wonderfully cold (we had home made ice cream and carrot cake for desert) There was an appetizer of scones and spinach/mandarin salad with a delicious vinegarette. Our server told the story of Ms. Janey and the area. By the time we left, we almost felt at home. (but BETTER, NO DISHES to wash!) |
