Overview
New Mexico Tea Company opened its doors on November 1, 2006 in one of Albuquerque’s oldest neighborhoods between urban downtown and historic Old Town. We occupy the central retail space in a brand new building on the northeast corner of Mountain Road and Twelfth Street. Mountain Road is currently undergoing a wonderful renovation from the museums to the west at Rio Grande Boulevard and the Harwood Art Center to the east at 7th Street. We are committed to making available a range of high quality loose tea and incense to our neighbors throughout the state of New Mexico as well as our neighbors around the world.

Very pleasant store with an excellent selection of black and green teas and Rooibos. They have a good quality if limited selection in white teas and Mate. The stock is fresh, the blends are enticing and the owner is very helpful. The 3 teas I purchased are excellent. I will be totally pleased when NM Tea Co adds a range of Pu-erh teas. Then all will be well with my world.

Nm Tea Co is a calm place where they know their tea. Mostly its high quality loose leaf tea( no food though). I asked for their recomendations when I first went in and loved the tea I bought. I go back every month now and I havent gotten a tea I dont like. They are also very customer friendly and have a lovely selection of tea pots.
