Nonna Rosa Cafe Tea Room & Gifts

I ADORE Nonna Rosa. I have been here three times, and every time has been wonderful. Nancy is such an amazingly wonderful woman. She makes delicious sandwiches, delectable spreads and decadently divine scones filled with clotted cream, lemon curd or strawberry or raspberry jam. She also provides butter shortbread and other cookies. This is all just in her cream tea! You will honestly find no other place around for such a good price (somewhere around $7). I have had her house blend of black tea--loose leaf which she will let you strain over your own if you ask, or she will strain it for you (bagged Twinings is available too)--every time I have gone and it is just grand. She also offers things such as paninis, soup, french press (for those none tea lovers, I guess), just a pot and scones and... (more) much, much more. Nancy is the most wonderful woman, too. The first time I went was on my birthday a few years back, and Nancy gave me a box of Twinings (Summer Blend. White box. The most delicious tea you will ever drink. But I can't find it anywhere!!!) and a porcelain spoon with a painted pink rose (matches the tea cup I bough. Oh yeah, she sells cups and tea, too. Isn't she great?) The last time I went I took my mother for cream tea, and she gave both of us a free cup of soup. Nonna Rosa is located in the middle of an indore courtyard kind of place that is surrounded by a few boutiques, so there's not room for 50, but it is both gender friendly, and oh so serene. Please go and support her business because it is just the most perfect place to either have a quiet afternoon tea break, or a place to bring a group of friends.
