I'm a frequent customer to this establishment, and I've only infrequently had a less than happy experience. They did change owner some months ago, and a few things have changed. They've changed the interior a little, and have moved away from the aisan theme to a more generalized atmosphere. One thing I DON'T like is the selection of music leaves something to be desired, but I suppose they're catering to their clientele.

They have introduced more food, and overall it's ok. I've tried a couple things, and while they're worth the money, I wouldn't come here for the food alone. The tea is excellent, as are the desserts, and these are the items I come for. If you happen to be hungry whiel you're there, then the food is adequate to satisfy you.

What has improved dramatically is the service. What a treat! They've hired a variety of people, (perhaps with a dual purpose of being eye candy,) but the staff are exceedingly attentive, and it was much appreciated.

As always, we had another great time on our last visit, so we are now making it a regular, monthly girls only get together. We sampled several items on the menu this time, and everything was extremely fresh. OMG, those dumplings were like 'butta'. LOL Honestly, they melt in your mouth, before you start chewing. We had a little buffet going on, right at our table. If I could make just one request, it would be to keep the A/C on as often as possible, because it
tends to be uncomfortably warm at times. Other than that,I must say, the menu contains something to please every ones palate. Delicate, yet oh so flavorful. Usually, after an evening out, you get home and need to unwind. Not so when I spend an evening at One Tea.It's a real Chi booster!I leave there, totally relaxed and in great sp... (more)

Here's the lowdown.Whether or not the tea is brewed to perfection, or if the food is the best you have ever eaten, it doesn't matter, because it's a terrific place to go.
I'm a NYC girl, who is still home sick, and this is the closest I'll get, to finding a place that even remotely resembles an East Village esatblishment, in So. Florida. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

I used to come to this place alot when it first opened.
But now when i came back, after the new ownership, its like 'Where is the Vietnamese Restaurant that used to be here?' and 'Why seems all to be Italians?'
I really miss the Asian / Vietnamese foods that used to be served in the restaurant and I feel bad if the restaurant change its aunthenticacy since its the only Vietnamese restaurant in the area.

As a resident of Wilton Manors,my recent experiences at the new tea lounge are far better than the previous ownership

There are now a lot more tea varieties to choose amongst and the food selection is much better.
Furthermore, the tea lounge still retains the chef from the original owners.

As I recall, their were hardly any customers when I went there months ago however, the place seems far more busier.

I used to come to this tea house often. The tea, food, service and atmosphere were top notch.
However, I came back last week (after three months working afar from home)to find out it had changed. The place has lost its original charm. My usual blend wasn't perfect and my favorite Pho soup is not the same flavor any more. Please bring back the old days of this tea house.

This restaurant just changed ownership. I used to visit this restaurant quite often but tonight i was there and the food was very poor with no taste and the tea i ordered was very weak. It was not prepared at the correct temp and the leaves were not left in long enough. I'm not that picky and i surely dont have time to write reviews however i couldnt let this go unsaid. Very disappointing.

Tearoom Response
Hi Kevin, we are sorry that you had a bad experience. Since we had taken over in January, we have had quite the opposite response. I can assure that we have the same cook on staff and have expanded our menu in addition to the controlled temperature and measured servings of the tea prior to serving since we check it reguarly. We are always happy to hear from our customers about how they feel we can improve. We wish you would have let us know when you were here. We invite you to come back and try us again. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised. Howard & David

I tell everyone about One Tea Lounge. It provides for me a small respite from the ordinary. Relaxing ambience, delectable food and of course any tea imaginable. Every month they showcase a different local artist. It's just great! I only wish they were never closed!
