Great historical location in the heart of Old Town Lompoc, located half-way between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. We are an American tea room with a decidedly British influence. Our tea room is comfortable, furnished with a variety of seating styles, from formal dining tables, to summery white wicker, to relaxed, large leather chairs. Artwork by local artists graces the walls.

Over 70 different teas are offered along with the popular Elegant Afternoon Tea which includes tea sandwiches, warm scones and a wonderful dessert selection. During the lunch hours they serve
a variety of English specials such as Cottage Pie, Pasties, Sausage Rolls, etc. The lunch menu includes quiches with soup or salad and the Ploughman's plate, with a hearty selection of English cheeses, bread and fruit.

The attractive gift shop carries a wide assortment of tea-related items as well as good quality bulk tea.

I make a point to relax and enjoy good tea and great food at Penelope's at least once every couple months. They have a huge tea list and great food. The deserts are to die for! But be aware almost every time they are out of something. Ither a specific tea or a menu item. The prices are a little up there for me but I would argue that it is worth it. The autmosphere is old victorian, low lighting and a nice fireplace. Very comphy seating. This is a nice out of the ordinary experiance for both young and old. ENJOY!

I was staying in Santa Barbara for two weeks and my friend and I ventured here for tea one day. I want to go back so much, but I live in Philadelphia. The tea parlor has such a lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing. There is a great menu with a really nice variety! :)
