Come enjoy a relaxing afternoon in our cottage style tearoom now located in the building housing the first hotel in Frankfort built in 1855. With a theme based on the novel Little Women each menu item is named for and designed in the spirit of the characters. Try our scone of the day with a different flavor scone each day of the week. Our soon-to-be-famous quiche is a big favorite as are our muffins and other sweets.
Seating is now available outside in front on our vintage tables. Call for reservations.
Check our website for events and specials.
Look on-line for our fifth season of Timely Teas, a series of six themed tea events to entertain and enlighten our guest with teas from different periods in time.

Variety: There was many kinds of tea. Iced or hot. We tried 3 different kinds & they were all fantastic. The food was also amazing we had many different kinds of sandwiches that were very good! Also, we had little desserts that were delicious! Not only was the food and tea great but the experience was fun and relaxing. I really enjoyed my time and it was definitely for all ages! I hope you enjoy!! |

Variety: I invitedAnn to this place--a first for us both--for an April birthday celebration. We enjoyed the whole theme, friendliness of the staff and the other guests, the 'tea' (meal) that we ordered, the recommended tea, and the ease of getting there from NW Cook County. We both know friends to bring here in cming days. |

Variety: THE BEST! The Pickwick Tea Society is a great experience. The scones, muffins, 'Little Women' theme offerings, and the great variety of teas are all top drawer! The menu groups the teas by variety and the servers are very knowledgeable about the offerings. After exploring the shops around the Village Green in Frankfort, the Pickwick is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a great cup of tea! Went with my granddaughter and the children's menu was perfect. Her tea was served with a small tea pot and beautiful one-of-a-kind tea cup & saucer. The tearoom also has lots of unusual gift items which we enjoyed looking at after our tea. A GREAT EXPERIENCE, |

Variety: We have been going to Pickwick Society Tearoom for years. We have introduced many friends to the Tearoom as well. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with attentive service (but not hovering-as another reviewer pointed out). It has an extensive tea menu which changes with the season, so there is always something new to try. The food is all made at the Tearoom and is delicious. As other reviewers have pointed out the staff is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions as well as children's varied requests. It is a lovely place to have a party or a shower or just to relax & catch up with friends. |

Variety: The staff was very accommodating for our group of 5 adults and baby in a stroller. We had a variety of menu items, all very tasty. The owner is an old friend we had not seen in years and she took time to visit without neglecting other customers. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. Next time I'm in town I will be sure and have tea there again. |

Variety: My second time to Pickwick and well worth the hour drive from Valparaiso, IN. 4 girls out for full tea and it was wonderful. The scones were flaky and delicious, the sandwiches fresh and flavorful, and the desserts...incredible. I would recommend this to anyone who loves afternoon tea or who just wants an afternoon of relaxing fun. I have been to over 20 tea shoppes in the US and abroad and would rate this as second only to a 5 star hotel in Geneva Switzerland. Try it! |

Variety: I visited The Pickwick Society last Saturday with three of my friends and enjoyed Marmees full tea. The tea I had was their holiday tea and was delicious. The food was excellent and there was a good variety to pick from. We enjoyed it so much and will return in the future! |

Variety: I have been to many afternoon teas in Illinois and other states. This tea was one of my favorites. We had the 'afternoon tea' for $17. It included a nice variety of fresh fruit, 6 tea sandwiches each, 5 desserts each and a pot of tea each. I found the price to be lower than many other teas with the same quantity. We ate the tea as 'lunch' and could not even finish the desserts. The owner greeted us and brought over 43 varieties of tea. She had glass containers of each tea so that we could see and smell each variety. Her knowledge of the tea surpassed that of any tea I have ever had. My tea was brewed well, though I do have to agree with one previous comment: we were seated by the front window and it was not warm in there! We kept layers on the entire time, and the temperature did... (more) |

Variety: I love, love, love this tea room! I'm a loyal customer who has just recently started coming to the 'timely teas' offered about 6 times a year. They are super informative and oh so fun! The Christmas tea 'White Christmas' was awesome. The food was superb. Can't wait to visit again. |

Variety: I have been coming to this tea room for years. I cannot get over how consistantly good it is. I saw one person said something about sugar cubes. I don't miss them. I KNOW they make all their own savories and desserts. Nothing is 'store bought'. I am a huge fan of the ham salad they make for some special events (I have been at a few) and the scones and their homemade lemon curd. Such a special place where I always feel at home. |

Variety: I have patronized this tea room since its inception. It is great. Having read all of the reviews below I see that a few people have had unpleasant experiences. If you can enter the date and time of day and/or contact the owner I'm sure she would appreciate the information! |

Variety: Hosted an event for my Mom. Most of the attendees are not tea drinkers. But the owner came out, explained the variety of tea and how much caffeine in the tea. Which was perfect since my Grandma cannot have caffeine. And those who know tea were impressed with the selection. The food was great, enjoyed by all, they even accommodated the youngest tea member by giving her PB&J with her tea. And accommodated the oldest tea member by giving her a pumpkin bar instead of the brownie dessert selection. The room itself is comfortable and cozy. The service was efficient, and had a cheerful patient waitstaff. |

Variety: I absolutely love this tearoom! The service is always wonderful and the food is always excellent. They do all their own baking and the variety is always exceptional. I also love that they are not a conventional tearoom. They are cozy and inviting. You can walk in wearing jeans and a tea shirt or a dress and hat and will not feel out of place. I recommend it to everyone and it is definitely one of my favorite places to visit! |

Variety: We hosted a baby shower at the Pickwick Tearoom and it was lovely. There were so many different teas, it was hard to choose one. I enjoyed tasting teas that friends had chosen. The food was delicious, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was charming. It was a delightful afternoon! |

Variety: My daughter and I attended a baby shower here. We are both celiac and need gluten free. I nave never been so impressed! The tea sandwiches, baked good and more were not only artfully created but exceptional in taste. Wish they were closer to us. I had a wonderful cinnamon plum tea and I purchased some to have at home. So impressed with every aspect of this tea room. It's a gem! |

Variety: We hosted a baby shower and could not have been more pleased! The guests and honoree were delighted. The food was scrumptous and the 'tea education' most informative. The atmosphere and decor were cozy and inviting. Can't wait to go back! |

Variety: Unfortunately for us we were very disappointed. We had a tea reservation for 3 on a Sunday afternoon. There was only 1 other tea reservation for a large party while we were there and we were seated right next to them. It was very distracting because they were a large group celebrating a birthday. I cannot comment on the service because we received NO service. We were not greeted, not spoke to unless we asked questions, given no information about the food we were served until we asked. Very odd for a tea room. The tea was delicious, although there are no sugar cubes. The silverware was a lovely silver plate wrapped in a white paper napkin, also odd. The cinnamon scone was good, again odd that you aren't served lemon curd. The savories were average with some pre packaged frozen phyll... (more) |

I was in the Historical Frankfort area and looking for a place for lunch. The Pickwick was pointed out to me by a friend that I was with, and so we decided to give it a try. |

Variety:
I hosted a bridal shower tea party at their old location and it was great. The new location is even better - more room. This time we went for ladies day out. I asked my friend what her favorite item was on the high tea assortment. She said she couldn't pick because there was nothing that wasn't great. |

Variety: The Pickwick Tearoom is my favorite place to go. It has excellent food (I love the new Plumfield veggie sandwich), so many delicious teas to choose from (every time I go I try to pick a different one, but my favorites are Amber Dragon and Blueberry), the staff is so sweet and accommodating that you feel as though you are at a friend's house and not a restaurant, and of course the variety of merchandise for sale is great. Make sure when you visit to get something sweet. They have scones, muffins, tarts, cookies, tea breads, brownies, and more! |
