Overview

Come enjoy a relaxing afternoon in our cottage style tearoom now located in the building housing the first hotel in Frankfort built in 1855. With a theme based on the novel Little Women each menu item is named for and designed in the spirit of the characters. Try our scone of the day with a different flavor scone each day of the week. Our soon-to-be-famous quiche is a big favorite as are our muffins and other sweets.

Check our website for events and specials.

Look on-line for our fourth season of Timely Teas, a series of six themed tea events to entertain and enlighten our guest with teas from different periods in time.

was there w/3 friends, sun. the 29th..the tearoom was so cold 2 of us ate w/our coats on..the thermostat was set at 67..we had chills the rest of the day which we could not shake....there was no tea cozy to keep the tea warm...so it wasn't...the soup in a served in a teacup also stood no chance of staying warm,,and the 'one item per/person' and the miniscule amount of soup...to me...did not warrant our 85.00 tab (tax included)

I had tea with my daughter, mother, and three sisters. We had a full tea and it was lovely. The afternoon was very special and feminine. I retured again with my daughter and husband and the owner was not present. Unfortunately, the service was not as good as the day we were there and she was present.

> I was in a few weeks ago to your tea room for my Aunt's 87th b-day. As usual
> we thoroughly enjoyed it, not to mention the great food and tea!
> My sisters, cousin, and aunt have frequented your tea room for a few years
> now. We were looking for a place to hold a bridal shower a couple years ago
> and picked your place after going a few times before that. Since then we
> have been an additional three or four times. I am from near Iowa and the
> rest of the ladies live in the suburbs. I make the almost 3 hour trip

Look forward to my next visit.

My sister and I came for an early lunch recently, and everything was delightful. The muffin of the day (raspberry) and the scone were out of this world good. The tea was excellent as well. Our server was cheerful and informative about the local happenings. I intend to visit again soon.

My friends and I met there to have an afternoon tea. It was great. The tea was excellent and there was a great selection. The food was well made and had wonderful flavor. The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was very homey. I highly recommend and will be going back for the Chocolate Mint tea.

No matter what is going on in my life; a visit to Pickwick instantly makes me feel better. The food is amazing and the service goes beyond expectation. This summer I decided to expand my horizons and had high tea at the Drake. Although it was enjoyable, I could not help but compare everything to Pickwick. The Drake did not even come close.

I have been many times to the Pickwick tearoom over the past few years but today I had the full tea service with tea, an assortment of sandwiches and cookies and it was such a treat. It included a nice visual and olfactory presentation of all the teas (whole leaf) available.
I happened to have tea at the Drake Hotel in Chicago last week and I could not help but compare the two experiences, with the Pickwick tearoom the winner by far! Their presentation, their tea, their food, and last but not least their service were superior in every way. I also came home with some cookies as I could not finish everything! I highly recommend this place to anybody.

I chose this tea room for my daughter's bridal shower. It was wonderful! My guests are still talking about it! We had the breakfast tea and it was delicious! There were small children present who were given fruit and cupcakes instead of the salad and desserts that were served to the adults. I would recommend this tea room to anyone with a special occasion or just to stop in with anyone for a lovely visit.

I had tea with my Mom and sister. It was awesome! I could not say that there was one thing on the platter that I did not think was excellent! We had the evening tea or dinner tea.....not sure what it was called, but it was delicious. So fresh and very relaxing.

The tea room is located in the perfect neighborhood of downtown Frankfort. It has a quaint feel and is perfect for a morning brunch or an afternoon lunch. The tea is wonderful and the food is even better. We did the full tea and it was absolutely delightful. The menu was already selected for us so we were able to just sit back and enjoy the experience! Thsi is the perfect place for a women's gathering, a bridal party event, birthday celebration, or to welcome a new baby.

I had never been to a tea house so I had no idea what to expect. This place was great!! Quaint decor, I loved the Little Women theme, tasty teas, high quality foods, and overall a wonderful experience.
They had alot of free trade teas and organic teas. I personally ordered the Raspberry Champagne hot tea, and I was not disappointed.
The food was delicious, all bite sized finger foods. My personal favorite was a red pepper and cream cheese sandwich on whole grain bread. Also, the cucumber sandwich was delicious.

I do think they should expand tho, because it was a tad small.

My mother and I just returned home after a delightful afternoon tea at the Pickwick Society Tearoom in Frankfort, Illinois. Not only was the tea choice amazing, but the presentation of the sandwiches and sweets were delightful and were overflowinng on our three tier server. We have been to tea in the Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida and there is absolutely no comparison. For a fraction of the Ritz's price, we enjoyed a tea that was bountiful and delicious.
We also enjoyed the 'Little Women' theme. Thanks for a lovely afternoon and great mother and daughter bonding time!

Such a treasure~ I went for the Underground Railroad Timely Tea. Great speaker and wonderful tea. I try to get there at least once a week. Wouldn't want them to disappear.
I really love this place. I feel like it a very special place to pamper myself for a small amount of money. Try it. It's fabulous.

Was invited to lunch and tea and service was short handed and not much to speak of. Did not explain how to order teas.Thank goodness one of the quest told me what to do. Our food was average and the sandwiches were not described to us. Our dishes were not picked up until we were ready to leave. In all fairness they also had a large party going on and I feel they were short handed. When we were ready to leave the owner came over and told us about the tea room and the teas and she was very pleasant. We would like to go back and try again when they are not so overwhelmed. Maybe they should realize their limit or increase their staff. We did have reservations so our party was no surprise
