Overview

Come enjoy a relaxing afternoon in our cottage style tearoom located in the building housing the first hotel in Frankfort built in 1855. With a theme based on the novel Little Women each menu item is named for and designed in the spirit of the characters. Try our scone of the day with a different flavor scone each day. Our soon-to-be-famous quiche is a big favorite as are our muffins and other sweets.

Seating is available outside in better weather in front on our vintage tables. Call for reservations.

Check our website for events and specials.

Look on-line for our sixth season of Timely Teas, a series of six themed tea events to entertain and enlighten our guest with teas from different periods in time.

Love the Pckwick Society. Such a charming tea shop. Food is excellent; tea variety and quality is superb. High tea is an event to be cherished.

I've been to Pickwick twice in the past two months, and both times were superb. The first time was for a baby shower, and they served each guest a pot of tea along with scones, cream, preserves, finger sandwiches, and finger desserts. Everything was excellent. The second time was for lunch. I ordered their full-size egg sandwich off of the menu along with a pot of tea, a scone, cream, and preserves. Everything was consistently great the second time around as well. I plan to make having lunch at Pickwick a regular event. So far, my top tea choice is their organic French Breakfast tea, which is incredibly smooth and flavorful. However, they have many other options that I look forward to having.

This is a lovely place for a relaxing lunch! The room is quaintly decorated, the staff was cheerful and very helpful, and the food was delicious! We'll be back again & again!

Fantastic place to visit and have tea with a few girlfriends or grab a light lunch. Beautiful store, and almost everything in the store is available for purchase (decorations, paintings, etc). We hosted my sister-in-law's bridal shower here in Summer 2012 and it was perfect for a quaint, parisian themed party. You must check out this tearoom!

The atmosphere, servers and food made my experience at Pickwick a time to remember. I'm an avid reader of romance novels featuring tea etiquette and the essence of the tea and I must say that the this experience was even better than what I've read about. I loved everything about it and I would highly recommend it for a relaxing time with good friends. Cant wait to go back

We just went for our first visit on a wintery day, and absolutely loved the warm cheerfulness inside.
The food was delicious, and the shop adorable. Enjoyed our mint julip tea. Will definitely come back.

Our server was Dawn and she couldn't have been more lovely and cheerful. Her presentation of the wide varieties of tea was interesting and enlightening. She told me facts I never knew about tea. I brought my two oldest and dearest girlfriends and they enjoyed everything as well as I did. I plan on bringing my husband so he can enjoy the experience as well. Plus, I want to look into reserving tickets for their special event teas coming up in 2014. I am especially interested in the Jackie Kennedy and Mark Twain teas. I highly recommend Pickwick if you're looking for a relaxing dining experience with old fashion charm. 🎄 Happy Holidays tea lovers ⛄️

I enjoyed my tea as well as the always fresh scones! My server, Liam, was wonderfully cheerful and refilled my tea as soon as it was close to being empty. Overall, this was a wonderful experience!

The tea room is my escape from my home office and the perfect pick me up in any weather/season. The staff values hospitality and is knowledgeable about their huge variety of tea (green, white, black, rooibos in too many flavors to list). Hannah's fresh baked delights continue to impress with appearance and taste, especially her mini-cupcakes and seasonally-inspired treats. And owner Cindy's hard work has paid off in being recognized as the Outstanding Destination for the Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau for 2013. I highly recommend this charming tea room.

I get to Pickwick about once a month with friends and though I am a tea drinker, I decided to try a cup of coffee with my Pumpkin Cheesecake Muffin. Talk about delicious! The staff is always warm, attentive and friendly. I recommend making a day of it by enjoying the tearoom then shop all of the quaint shops up and down the street. My friends and I love it there!

I also am a loyal customer of the Pickwick. I have never had anyone be rude there. I love the food and ambiance and most especially the service. I am so sorry that someone had a bad experience, because this place is awesome. I come here with my girlfriend at least every two weeks and we love it.

Amy Ploog I work at the Pickwick and just became aware of what happened to you. I'm very sorry and have let the owner know about the situation. I'm sure she will be contacting you shortly.

Even better. Contacted the owner via e-mail and 4 days later still no response. Highly unprofessional.

We have been loyal customers for the last 9 years. We have had catering from them for private parties, numerous full teas, And have referred a number of people there. Not anymore. Just went there with my 3 year old daughter and was turned away by the rudest woman ever. She said she was having a private party until noon. Nothing on their website says anything about not being open to the public due to private party. So now I have driven 45 minutes to have this woman reduce my daughter to tears. Sorry Pickwick your loss. The door should have been locked, something should have been posted, and the owner definitely should not have allowed a guest to be so rude!

- Amy Ploog 11/09/13

Tearoom Response
Sorry for this unfortunate exchange but, I cannot control what a customer says to another customer. As it was a private event, she was within her rights to only allow her guests into the tearoom. If you had called ahead, you would have been told about the private memorial tea we were honored to host.

We celebrated my Aunt's 89 birthday on October 23 at the Pickwick Society Tea Room in Frankfort, Il. We have been there several times for different occasions and love the tea, food selection, atmosphere, and the friendly service. I live near IA. in northern Illinois and make the trip over whenever an occasion is planned. We will go back again!!!

We had such a wonderful experience. I was so surprised at how wonderful it was. My daughter went on and on about how she got to pour her own personal teapot. I love the white peach ginger tea. Delicious!

There was many kinds of tea. Iced or hot. We tried 3 different kinds & they were all fantastic. The food was also amazing we had many different kinds of sandwiches that were very good! Also, we had little desserts that were delicious! Not only was the food and tea great but the experience was fun and relaxing. I really enjoyed my time and it was definitely for all ages! I hope you enjoy!!

I invitedAnn to this place--a first for us both--for an April birthday celebration. We enjoyed the whole theme, friendliness of the staff and the other guests, the 'tea' (meal) that we ordered, the recommended tea, and the ease of getting there from NW Cook County. We both know friends to bring here in cming days.
