Variety: Had my daughter-in-law's baby shower at the Pine Cone Cottage and it was just delightful! It is the perfect setting for that special event. The use of their garden in the preparation the food makes it very special. Pam and her husband Paul did a wonderful job and the service was great! Also, Paul was very helpful in explaining each course. Thanks for a wonderful time! |

Variety: My first experience was in Feb. 2009. I went with a group of gal pals for bday tea/luncheon. Service was great, atmosophere perfect for a relaxing chat time with the friends. Loved my tea, had comfort soup, the staff was engaging and personable. Huge fan of the comfort soup, asked for a private cooking class. Cooking class was my 1st experience, we had the entire place to ourself. The class was organized and recipes were explained. after cooking, we had tea, soup and the company of freinds and staff. |

Variety: I have had the opportunity to visit the Pinecone Cottage Tea House several times in the past year. In each instance, I have had a wonderful experience. Pam changes her menu each month and it is always very creative and I have yet to taste anything that was anything but delicious. She always has two types of tea's as specials of the month, but there is also a separate tea menu to choose from. Pam creates all of her dishes herself and the atmosphere is small and cozy. I have recommended the Pinecone Cottage Tea house to others and with 2 people or a larger group, you can't go wrong. |

Variety: I had a small bridal shower here. It was lovely and the ambiance was so sweet. The owner and other staff were kind and unobtrusive and incredably accomodating. If I wasnt moving out of state this summer I would be a regular here. Also the shortbread cookies were TO DIE FOR, the best I have ever had! Thanks so much Pam! |

Variety: I came from Michigan to visit my cousin in Northfield. One of our favorite things to do is to visit different tea houses. We had a wonderful time at the Pinecone Cottage Tea House! The food was great and everyone was so kind. If you are at tea lover or just want a time to relax, this is a must. You won't be disappointed. They also host showers and parties. |

Variety: I have now been here seven times over 2008/2009. On my own, with my sister's red hatters and for there Thanksgiving sides class. While not overly comfortable on there types of chairs, my size, i think it is a charming place. You are first served, buffett style, a cheese-fruit-cracker course. Then everything else brought out to you. Fresh, tasty, plentiful. Seperately they offer classes on various types of sides, desserts etc. throughout the year. Price for them is reasonable and you get to eat what you make. GO TO THEM, informative and fun. |

Tearoom Response
Hi Melinda !Sorry for the delay, but although the economy has had it's problems, we've been very busy at Pinecone Cottage. I just wanted to send a note to let you know how much we appreciated your kind comments. You don't, or maybe I should say you do realize, how much this helps our business. We hope to see you soon, and thanks again ! Pam |

Variety: I love this tea house! Very clean, cozy and relaxing. Owned by a husband and wife team with attention to detail. Very gracious and attentive customer service. Tea was great as well as the food. I purchased some of the curds and loose tea for home. Nicer than downtown Chicago because you don't have to pay exorbitant parking fees. I highly recommend it. |

Variety: Our bridal shower received many complimentary comments about our choice of location and the tea service. The cream of cauliflower soup was outstanding, the Hot Bishop beverage cozy and tasty, the savory course a delightful variety of foods. Paul was so friendly and informative about each item we were tasting. Pam was very easy to work with long distance. We never felt hurried and staff were nearly invisible. Our bride was delighted. |

Variety: I have both attended and hosted work and personal functions at the Pine Cone Cottage and each event has been an utter delight! The menu is marvelous and changes with the seasons so you can go back again and again without repetition(unlike some of the downtown Chicago places which have served the same menu for decades now). The atmosphere is perfect! You feel that you have stepped into a more gracious time and place and you leave eagerly awaiting your next visit. With clients, colleagues, friends or relatives, for special occasions or just 'because', the PCC is an excellent choice! |

Variety: Since it's opening in 2002, Pinecone Cottage has been a favorite spot for the girls in our family to get together, whether to celebrate a special occasion or to just catch up with one another. From Sweet Sixteen to 85th birthdays, cousin's reunions and welcome home parties, Pam and Paul have made each and every event a wonderful experience for us. We love the beautiful room, the elegant table settings and the wonderfully delicious meal. From savories to sweets, each item on the menu is delectable and the wide assortment of teas is amazing. Thank you Pam and Paul, we'll see you again real soon. |

Variety: My daughter hosted my surprise 60th birthday party at this quaint and charming establishment. From the moment I walked in the door I was taken with this wonderful place. From Robert taking my coat and handing me a glass of punch to the other fabulous service and great food. The scones were outstanding as was the Cauliflower soup. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for my special day. Absolutely 5 stars and 2 thumbs up and I will certainly be returning. |

Variety: I had my mother's surprise 60th birthday at this beyond cozy and adorable establishment. I walked into the most picture perfect place. They had so many teas to choose from and the food was delicious. We didn't walk away hungry at all. I couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate my mothers birthday. The people were wonderful and took great care of everyone who attended. I give this place 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. |
