Today was my first time venturing into this lovely little tea shop and I am so glad I did! To find a place that so obviously puts so much love and thoughtfulness into every product really had me overflowing with excitement. The incredible range of tea varieties guarantee that there is a tea for anyone and everyone. So far I have brewed myself up the peppermint tea and it was outstanding: so fresh and pungent but with the perfect amount of sweetness. This tea requires nothing to make your taste buds sing!! This might have been my first trip to Point Loma Tea, but it will definitely not be my last.

Not only is Point Loma tea a well organized store, it also has a vast variety of high quality teas. They have great fun teas for hot summer days, like the Pina Colada or Angels in the Mist, but also wonderful traditional teas like English Breakfast and a unique green Sencha. They have teas for every season and occasion! I also love their tea accessories, like the glass stove top kettle that makes brewing tea all the more fun. I personally love the tea mug to go, it is great for a busy morning. The staff are very knowledgeable about tea and the owner, Cheryl, is very helpful in finding the perfect tea for you. It is a great place for getting quality service, accessories, and, of course, tea!

As a first time customer I was amazed with the vast variety of teas available. I have had the pleasure to try a few of them, such as the Sea Star green tea and the Lavender Blossom herbal tea, which both were fantastic. I really enjoy the Sea Star green tea iced in the mornings with honey. Point Loma tea has a very inviting boutique feel to it and a calm atmosphere. To go along with the teas, they have many gifts to choose from that would be great for family and friend tea lovers. I would highly recommend stopping by for discovering any new teas you might have in mind!

The variety of teas to choose from is amazing. There are tons of teas to choose from ranging from all different kinds as well. The shop itself is also cute, and well-organized. And the accessories sold are all incredibly cute and functional. (i absolutely love the boat tea infusers) The employees are quick to offer help, and everyone at the store works their best to find a great tea for each individual customer. I personally have failed in love with two teas in particular, the Brandy Oolong, and the Strawberry Fields. The fist is a great oolong, that smells almost like Hot Crust Buns, so it imeadiatly garnered favor in my book, and then it followed up by being a great tea, with subtle hints of nutmeg and raisin, that didn't even need any sweetening. And Strawberry Fields is an amazing white tea. It smells almost exactly as it tastes, and its perfect to drink outside on nice sunny day. Its a nice light tea, that has a sweet flavor that lingers a bit after you dink. Five stars, would defiantly recommend

Cheryl and her store are a delight for all your senses. I came away with 5 teas and each one delivered a special and unique experience. First, I made some iced lemonade dreams in the afternoon and we took it to the beach in the late afternoon. I steeped it hot first, 2 tsps in 16oz of hot water, then watched all of the beautiful ingredients float then sink as the lemon fragrance evolved, it smelled like a lemon popsicle! I popped it into the freezer to cool and before we headed to the beach I added ice in a to go container. It was a delightful smooth, fresh and not to tart treat, with a little sweetness. I loved the color and how it became a golden honey as the leaves and buds softened and released the flavors. The hint of lavender was perfect. One morning, I made breakfast of Trader Joe's natural cocoa rice puffs, coconut granola and a little milk, and the Chocolate Cupcake tea - I made it hot, single serve with a tea strainer spoon. It became deliciously dark and was perfectly robust for a morning kick start, I got the caramel scent first and it seemed the most powerful. Later after a little longer I tasted the rose flavor coming through. After half a cup sipped 'neat' I added a splash of milk and enjoyed it even more that way. I can't wait to try more of Point Loma Teas!

Point Loma Tea has the perfect spot next to the Liberty Public Market, and they're a great place to stop for a tea to go after lunch! They always have a fun sample to try, and the employees are all very helpful and nice. There is a limited variety of tea in premade tea bags, but they have 150 loose teas to make up for it. I'm a fan of the Genmaicha and the San Diego Sunset Rooibos, but I can enjoy any of their teas, even the ones outside my usual taste!

This sweet tea shop had everything I needed to enjoy beautiful tea at home. So many loose, organic tea choices! The teas are sorted by categories and the friendly staff helped me pick just what I was looking for. I took home orthodox green and black teas, some blended with fruits, an herbal tea that smelled like a Southern California garden and a fun dessert tea to serve to company. The shop has tea to sample and a wide variety of brewing accessories, mugs and tea pots. I'll be getting gifts here in the future. :)

Point Loma Tea is the PERFECT place to find any tea needs---from the product to the accessory! The tea sold there is lose leaf, top-of-the-notch, organic, and hand picked. WOW! My first encounter with Cheryl was over a year ago, and she kindly welcomed me into the store. After a few questions she was able to help me find the tea that suited my taste buds (I was a newbie). Since then, I can't count how many cute picnic dates I've had on at Sunset Cliffs with my boyfriend and our favorite tea, Sea Star! This shop has a special place in my heart, and it's all thanks to Cheryl for sharing her love and art of tea with the community. :)

The complexity of the different teas is astounding and I am continually impressed by the different flavors and variety that the shop has. Each day there is a different sample tea, which is an amazing way to learn what you like and find a tea you truly enjoy. Another positive about the boutique is the selection of gifts they also sell. Amazing service and amazing tea. Keep up the good work!

Point Loma Tea is such a wonderful store! It is the perfect location because it is right next to public market, and the shop itself is darling! It is very clean and organized, and is decorated, and the employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in picking the perfect tea! I grabbed a few samples and while all the teas were absolutely delicious, I found a few favorites! The Rose Petals Herbal tea was my all time favorite. It is a very soothing tea, so perfect for right before bed, and it has just the perfect amount of Rose flavor so it is not too much of a flowery taste, and with some warm milk it was delicious. Another favorite would be the Strawberry Mango Rooibos tea. I was pleasantly surprised drinking this tea, as fruity teas are not my favorite, because it was a perfectly light taste, with just the right amount of sweetness from the strawberry and mango. It is another perfect tea to drink right before bed (or for dessert in my case!) and the health benefits from a rooibos tea caused me to love it even more!! The Wellness Detox tea was another favorite! It has all of the health benefits I am looking for and it has a sweet taste because of the Licorice Root, so I did not feel guilty drinking this tea! It has a soothing taste as well, so right after a tough workout is the best time to drink this! Finally, the Cinnamon Bun Black tea was amazing! It tasted like a Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll infused into a tea! Black teas are usually very strong, and are not usually favored if stronger tea is not your favorite, but this tea was a perfectly balanced taste between the black tea and cinnamon! It is perfect right in the morning to wake you up, or during the day you need a caffeine boost without the crash like a cup of coffee. I am so excited to go back and try more of Cheryl's wonderful selection of teas, and I will definitely be back for a new tea pot! Even if you are not familiar with tea, this shop is perfect for you because of the wide selection, wonderful and cheerful atmosphere, and the helpful and dedicated workers will guide you to the perfect tea!

I'm so glad that I found this tea shop! There are so many different types of tea that I had a difficult time choosing a few to try. I loved the chocolate cupcake tea. It really did taste like chocolate without being overpowering. A great dessert tea to share while catching up with friends. I like to drink the Morning Mocha tea in the morning with my breakfast. I've found that by adding a little cream it tastes like a mocha. I'm excited to try the other samples I picked up and am looking forward to expanding my tea palette.

Point Loma Tea is a cute little shop located in Liberty station. It is incredibly clean and aesthetically pleasing with great customer service. A few teas I enjoyed are the apricot black tea, morning mocha, and the Tuscan garden. The apricot was delicious hot but I definitely loved it over ice. It had a nice black tea base but gave a great kick of flavor with the apricot. It is perfect for a hot summer day. The Tuscan garden was also a wonderful choice. It's aroma makes you feel as if you are actually in a garden overfilled with wonderful smells. This tea was a breath of fresh air. The notes of lavender were outstanding with hints of many other blossoms. Lastly, the morning mocha was by far my favorite. It's a nice introduction for coffee lovers who want to give tea a go. It's a black tea with a coffee and chocolate blend. These three ingredients compliment each other so well and sort of blend as one. This tea was incredible. I absolutely love Point Loma tea and all the treasures it holds inside!

Having little knowledge about tea before entering the shop, Cheryl and her staff did an excellent job not only informing me about the teas but guiding me through the world of tea. Located in one of San Diegos most prominent districts, Point Loma Tea and the experience they have created is one that must be checked out. With my expanded knowledge and new found love for green tea one simply does not walk out without a smile. From the aesthetics to the smells within the shop it truly is one of a kind and their signature blends like the wild blueberry and the San Diego sunset are definitely something to talk about. Whether a tea drinker or not I highly recommend stopping by to check out the accessories and assortments of traditional and flavored tea blends. You will not be disappointed!!!

I have had a tough time finding a decent, convenient tea place in San Diego, and I was delighted to come across this place, so please forgive the rather long review! They have a great selection of teas and other merchandise, in an open and welcoming environment. The sample size bags are perfect if you want to get a few options to try, I love a variation and it was proving too difficult to decide. I ended up with Passion Fruit (Rooibos and Honeybush), California Sunshine (fruit/herbal), Mango Sorbet (white), Vietnamese (black), and a berry black tea that I cannot recall the name of. I'm a big Rooibos fan, so that was the first one I tried and I wasn't disappointed! It had a very light fruity/floral flavor, without distracting from the earthiness of the Rooibos. A perfect tea for snuggling up with a book, which is exactly what I did when I first brewed it! For my morning pick me up I opted for the Vietnamese, it is very rich and robust, without the bitterness that I find some straight black teas to have. I especially liked it with just a bit of almond milk added. On mornings when I am more relaxed, the berry one has just the perfect amount of sweetness to compliment the deeper flavor of the black tea, and the pleasant floral fragrance is an added bonus. If I am being weirdly specific, this would be my ideal tea for drinking at sunrise on a cold/snowy winter morning. And the Mango Sorbet and California Sunshine are both serving me well as iced teas for hot days, they are extremely refreshing and definitely do not require any sweetener or anything else added since the flavors are so vibrant. I think I love the California Sunshine more of the two, the hibiscus really stands out among the flavors and I especially notice the hints of orange and tangerine underneath. The subtlety of the sweet and tart flavors give it a bit more depth than a lot of other fruitier teas, and I like that it isn't overpowering. The Mango Sorbet is a tad smoother, it doesn't have that tartness that the other has but rather a much lighter flavor. I really enjoyed all of the ones I tried, I will definitely be heading back in for some refills, and to try some new flavors!

Upon arriving at the tea shop, it smelled amazing. It smelled 100 better than any coffee shop I have ever been to. I tried several varieties of tea samplers from them, and I have to say my favorite is the BlackBerry black tea. With no hint of a black tea, the fruitiness will draw people in for those who have need of the caffeine without the bite.

Point Loma Tea offers something for everyone. Their teas are high quality and fairly priced. My personal favorite is the Garden Spa Blend. The lavender and rose flavors compliment the chamomile without being overpowering. A cup of this calming and soft tea is perfect to wind down with at night. I also enjoy the vanilla black tea. The vanilla adds a natural sweetness to the strong black brew.

Although I've only tried a few teas thus far, they've been sensational and quite the variety as well. My absolute favorite is the Chocolate Mint Rooibos tea, which is equally refreshing, comforting, and delicious! The essence of echolocate comes through without being overpowered by the mint in a perfectly sweet pairing. I have also enjoyed the Pink Lady Grey, which offers refreshing floral notes with a pleasant bite that makes Earl Grey's unique. The flavor of the rose offers a hint of sweetness underlined by orangey citrus tones. Point Loma Tea's Chai blend is also sensational, as it is not too spicy but still has wonderful cinnamon spice flavor and aroma. Fragrant and comforting, their Chai is the perfect tea for the fall. The Garden Blend is delightfully floral, absolutely perfect for relaxing in the evening. The kiss of rose and lavender essences are highlighted beautifully, not overpowered by the chamomile. This tea is perfect for those that desire a relaxing floral blend more complex than simply chamomile- I would definitely recommend. Overall, Point Loma Tea offers a great variety of teas and a charming atmosphere for anyone who already has or wants to develop an appreciation for tea!

Her shop is the perfect size and she offers real teas and they are all organic and purchased through fair trade. If you're looking for authentic tea and genuine people this is THE place!

A few of my favorites are San Diego Sunset, Black Sea Magic, and the White Ayurvedic Chai

San Diego Sunset is a refreshing, rooibos tea with a zest of citrus that is great for anytime of day or year. Personally, what I love about it is the variety of intricate floral and citrus flavors that blend just perfectly.

Black Sea Magic is a wonderful deep black tea that is great for tea drinkers who enjoy heavier teas and flavorful fruity teas. The tea smells and tastes like fresh picked flowers and fruit with and undertone of bittersweet, the way a black tea should. It's a tea that I would enjoy most in the early mornings hot or late afternoons iced.

The White Ayurvedic Chai is a tea that has the perfect amount of spice and just the right blend of sweet. It's a fantastic holiday tea and mixes really well with other teas. I make mine hot and add some Orange Chai to mine and find it to be the a very calming.

Not only were the staff bright and welcoming but the shop itself pulled me in. The owner, Cheryl, made sure to inform me in a polite and friendly way of the way she runs her shop. The shop was organized and decorated in a complementing manor.

That was just my FIRST impression. As I continued to visit the shop over the past months I found that it will be reorganized and redecorated. This is not only refreshing but exciting especially when new product meets the shelves.

I have now found my favorites of her selection: Ceylon, Chamomile Blossoms, Berry Kisses, and most definitely her Afternoon Darjeeling.

The Ceylon I purchased was not only present in flavor but long after I had finished my cup the mesh ball infuser (that I had also purchased from Point Loma Tea) allowed the aroma to fill my room, which was also extremely pleasant.

Chamomile Blossoms changed my entire view on any Chamomile tea. I had always thought Chamomile was meant to put you to sleep. That was not the case with this product. I felt relaxed and focus as I drank my cup full. I even went back to re-steep for a few more cups. That is also another amazing factor of the tea Point Loma Tea offers, you can steep more than one cup out of the original serving.

When I had a party thrown for my birthday I had made sure to purchase a fun and flavorful tea to share with my guests. Berry Kisses fulfilled that wish. I steeped a full pot that served about 12 cups with two teaspoons within my mesh infuser. I will mention that Berry Kisses contain fruit which bulks up the spoons. Do not worry about putting too much, that will only make the flavor stronger.

The most recent tea that I have tried is their Afternoon Darjeeling. It was a black tea that contained pure 2nd season Darjeeling. This was my first time every trying a Darjeeling tea, so naturally I was a bit confused on what '2nd season' meant. Cheryl was fully willing and well informed when she explained to me how teas are grown and made.

One of my favorite aspects of Point Loma Tea would have to be that they not only sell loose leaf tea but 'tea tool,' scone mixes and jams, other packaged pastries, and if by request will prepare a cup at an extremely reasonable price of a tea you would like to try. Not to mention I feel they have tea and tea accessories that are acceptable for all ages.

The prices at Point Loma Tea are not only fair but I feel respected by the prices they have set. If you're looking for a well rounded tea shop I would definitely recommend Point Loma Tea!

Point Loma Tea Store is an oasis of peaceful and calm in beautiful Liberty Station. The wall of teas, the beautifully arranged tea-wares is as charming as the knowledgeable owner, Cheryl Graf.

If I had to pick a favorite? Alas I would be hard pressed. Every tea I have treated myself to is magnificent. Thank you PLT for opening up so close to my home!
