Variety: Power’s Tea Room is the best in the world! We had a relaxing, soul renewing experience that goes beyond words. From the moment we set foot on the property we were treated like royalty. Everything was fantastic from the perfectly brewed tea to the melt in your mouth scone. There was plenty of food and the corn chowder was the best we ever have tasted. Just when we thought the meal was over, the best fresh from the oven peach cobbler was served warm with vanilla ice cream. Need I say more? The owner himself met us in the parking lot and helped my 89 year old mother into the mansion. He personally escorted her back to the car at the end of our stay. If you have not experienced tea at Power’s you are really missing out on the experience of a lifetime. The owner and staff are extremely gracious. |

Variety: My husband and I love going to 'tea', and a friend had recommended the Power's Mansion Inn. The service was very personable and friendly. One of the owners, Alfred Lee, was in a meeting in the parlor, but he came out to welcome us and encourage us to explore the entire inn after our tea. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was extremely delicious. We usually like to have a selection of teas, but we were lucky that we both liked the Darjeeling which was served. We were surprised to find the cost of the entire tea, which included soup and a small meal before the traditional tea foods were brought out, was the same as traditional tea foods in other tea rooms. We loved the Victorian decorations and furniture, but would have preferred to sit at a smaller table. I foun... (more) |

Variety: We chose this tea house to do my daughter's bachelorette party. It was nothing short of magnificent. Alfred Lee, the owner, was without a doubt the most gracious host a person could ask for. He was more welcoming than any other tea house I have ever frequented. By the time the evening was over, we all felt as if the beautiful home belonged to a good friend. We were served by Mary, who was lovely, gracious and most accomodating of everyone's needs. We have special allergy issues in our crowd and they couldn't have been more willing to address all of these issues. Powers Mansion Inn is, hands down, the best tea house in the area, making sure all of us left stuffed and happy to have been a part of the evening. My sincere thanks to Alfred and Mary for being so gracious. Alfred, you have added another dozen to your family of honored guests. God bless you and your family. |

Variety: I attended a bachelorette party at the Powers Inn. I am 30 and had never been to a tea house. But now i look forward to returning, and bringing others. The location is easy to find. The parking is convenient. We enjoyed use of the parlor to greet guests as they arrived. The decor felt like a time capsule back to Victorian days. We felt free to take pictures using the grounds as the backdrop. Edwards and Mary were delightful hosts/servers. Edward gave our group some history of the property and building, and invited us to take a tour of the Inn rooms. We peered into the nostalgicly appointed rooms while the pungent aromas of the food to come enticed us. The tea was Darjeeling. The soup course was corn chowder. then came ceasar salad and quiche. At that point I was satisfied and thought the ... (more) |

Variety: The Powers Teahouse is a very nice place. The only negative to this particular tea room is that we were not allowed to chose our own individual teas. When our group of ladies go to tea rooms we each try a different tea and share with the others. It is fun to taste many flavors of tea. This tea room picked which tea they were going to serve us. They gave us two teas, no choice. The food was excellent and lots of it. The service was also very good and the lady was very friendly and cheerful. I didn't particularly like the giant table in the dining room. I would have liked a table more for the size of our group (9) I'd recommend this tearoom to others. |

Variety: Outstanding High Tea in a beautiful Victorian Mansion. The food was not only homemade & delicious, but included soup, salad & quiche beside lovely tea sandwiches & pastries. All this was topped off with homemade pie a-la-mode. The service was friendly & attentive. The only thing lacking was a choice of tea. |

Variety: This is by far the best tea room I have visited in Northern California. The host and hostess were very warm and inviting. The food was outstanding and not your store bought variety. The corn chowder was perfectly spiced and warmed your tummy. The variety of tea sandwiches gave everyone something to call their favorite from the chicken salad, cucumber, egg salad and cream chees with cranberries. The sweets were home baked for sure. Blueberry scones, mini lemon tarts and macaroon ball. But save room for dessert...ice cream and apple pie. There was a never ending tea pots of Darjeeling and a decafe for the unwired of the group. You could tell much time and detail was put into each step of the party. |

Variety: Mary, our hostess, went to great lengths to provide us with a wonderful tea luncheon. The table was set beautifully and the food was excellent. We did not walk away hungry. The service was outstanding! Our teacups never went empty, as well as our water glasses. Thank you for providing such a lovely experience for all 15 in our tea group! We will certainly be back again. |

Variety: Our 'Girlie Tea' group of relatives have been to most tea rooms in and around Scramento. Powers Mansion was very friendly, and the food was terrific and plentiful. However, we were served only 2 selections of tea, of their choosing and the pots were not available to us to refill at our want and leisure. The food selection and quality helped to ease the dissapointment of choice of tea. But, it was not what we were used to. I like to select my own tea and try different kinds wherever I go. The mansion was beautiful and a serene place for tea. |

Variety: After trying 5 tearooms in the gold country, Power's Mansion is by far the best tea lunch in the area. The hosts are wonderful and the food was great. Our Red Hat group enjoyed the afternoon. |
