R. L. Wilson House

Truly a Victorian Experience. The house opened Mother's Day Weekend 2010.

The R. L. Wilson House is located in the Historic District of Noblesville, Indiana just south of S.R.32. Noblesville was nominated as one of the "Best Small Towns" in America. This town is full of charm and historic buildings especially on the Town Square.

It has taken 3 years to renovate this wonderful home to what we have today. The interior of the home is beautifully decorated with antiques and period furniture. Each room has its own uniqueness and its own name. The grounds have over 700 plants bushes and bulbs and are scheduled to bloom through the spring, summer and fall seasons. The R.L. Wilson House was built in 1864 and is on the National Registry of Historic Houses. We received the "Community Pride Award" from the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce in May of 2010. We were also honored to receive the Enterprise Award for Excellence in the Renovation/Construction category from the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce in October. Thank you Noblesville Preservation Alliance for awarding us with the Josiah Durfee Award in 2011. This is a very coveted award among historians and preservationists. This is given for excellence and for a significant project that has a very strong impact on the community. Very proud to have received this award. Think about hosting your event at the R. L. Wilson House whether it is a rehearsal dinner, shower, birthday party or any special event.

We host two Specially Themed Teas each year. We pair loose-leaf or pyramid bagged teas with the themed teas. Individual infused bags are also available such as Egyptian Mint, Earl Grey, green and many more. I personally like herb, and roolibos teas.
Each table will have its own table-scape with various bone china, crystal, silver and eclectic accessories. Beverages are served in Silver Tea Pots or cold servers. Desserts are served on tiered trays.
Spring is almost here! The Mad Hatter Tea is almost around the corner and we will have a fabulous time. Spring's coming and blooms will abound. Rejoice in spring!! Our annual Mother's Day Tea is also just around the corner. Invite a friend, sister, and of course, your mother. Wear a hat, laugh, this will be a talked about tea. Reserve now as we are almost always sold out!

Parties can be scheduled anytime for groups of 25 or more. Our phone number is: 317-770-9399. We pride ourselves in serving fresh, made from scratch, and seasonal food. We grow our own herbs for use in our recipes. Heavenly Sweets owns and operates the R. L. Wilson house and has been voted "Best Fancy Cakes" by Indianapolis Monthly and Named in Indianapolis Dine as one of the best chefs for desserts. Along with wonderful cakes we have all butter scones, moist banana bread, homemade preserves, devon cream, lemon curd, strawberry soup, dressings, etc.

The next big event will be our Mad Hatter's Tea March 15, 2014 at 11:30. Check out our website: www.rlwilsonhouse.net

I attended the Mother's Day Tea this year 2013. I was very impressed with everything from the decoration to the food presentation. The staff definately puts a lot of time and consideration into their events. The tea was served properly and the waitress was very pleasent and had a smile the whole time. I will definately be back to another tea. I hear the Mad Hatter is a hoot!

I attended the tea 05/11/13 and it was excellent. I was with my family and we felt that we were treated with personal attention even though they were booked to capacity. The menu was everthing you would expect it to be and more. MY 95 year old mother-in-law said it was the nicest she had ever attended. i could tell that a great deal of time and effort had gone into the planning. The food was delicious and served very properly.I will be going back AND INTEND TO TELL ALL OF MY FRIENDS. It was everthing I expected and more.

Very disappointing appointing for the price! My wife and I have been going to tea rooms for the past 15 years to celebrate special events. First we thought we would be having a nice intimate tea together, but when we got there we had to sit at a 'friendship' table. A nice way of putting us with total strangers. The room was packed full to the point where I even questioned if we were within fire code regulations. To go to the restroom it took a series of events because the chairs behind us blokes me in. If that wasn't bad enough I had to constantly help the server by passing everyone's food and drink to them. I even explained all this to the owner who seemed unphased. She then went on to explain to me that they only have teas twice a year, which was painfully obvious.

Came here for the first time for the Mother's Day Tea event on Sat. May 11, 2013, the menu was light & scrumptious. The Chicken Velvet Soup was awesome (recipe please). I particularly enjoyed the Ayres' Chicken Salad in Filo Cups. The long anticipsted dessert pairing are coming and I know they will be delish. Truly one Heavenly Sweets Day of yumminess.

The wonderful decor will enlighten the young and old on the older victorian times. I have been to a tea and luncheon both to which I had a great experience. The tea's and food are exceptional, and the pastries are just that 'heavenly sweet' ! The ladies are very nice and always have a smile on their face.

I was part of a 70th birthday dinner party held here.. It was my first experience at the Wilson House and I was pleasantly surprised with the ambience, the friendliness of the staff and the wonderful tasty meal.. Will I return? yes, without a doubt! Perhaps for one of the teas.

My high school girlfriends and I met last Saturday at the R.L.Wilson House. They were having their Christmas Extravaganza that day. It was our first time there and it was so nice we decided to return in March when they have their 'Mad Hatters' event. The service was great as well as the peppermint tea and scones were out of this world! I highly recommend visiting. The only drawback was they were so busy it was hard to hear each other and carry on conversations.
