The BEST scones ever! I loved the decor, the tea was brewed to perfection, nice selection of teas, the food was exciting and delicious. I have been to another local tea room and the food was just ordinary. This Tea Room's food had variety and was unique and delicious. The staff was both knowledgeable and friendly. If you are looking for a great tea room in Gettysburg, this is the place to visit. You won't be disappointed!

I live in Nevada and when I went into this tearoom I was sent back in time. I love dressing up and going for tea and coming into this tea room made me feel so wonderful. The food was magnificent and I would definitely inform everyone I meet to go there.

Wow, what a great place! The tea selection is so complete and the ones we ordered were steeped to prefection. Then the selection of scones were just so good! Just when we thought it couldn't get any tastier, Judy and her staff came out with the most delicious variety of tea sandwiches, followed by a very nice selection of sweets. Great food, beautifully decorated setting, friendly service and the cutest gift shop. This place captures what a Tea Room should be. We'll be back.

I am definitely not a tearoom snob but though I keep going to this tearoom in the hopes that it will improve I just haven't seen it happening. The food is fair at best though it is nicely presented. The tea always seems to be over-brewed and only warm. The owner seems nice enough but her staff seems to be sullen and lifeless. And I don't know what the deal is with the clotted cream but it has no taste at all. I'm not so sure I will return. In a town such as Gettysburg there should be a quality tearoom but I'm not sure that this is it. I will be looking into other tearooms in the area before I return to this one. I know Rose Room hasn't been in business very long so I hope for the best for them. This tearoom is also very difficult to find in town as the signage doesn't stand out at all. I go to tearooms for the genteel experience but there is so much noise and activity within the building this is located in I sometimes feel I might as well be in a fast food place. Good luck to you though!

I am so sorry we keep letting you down. It seems that the people who come regularly always seem so happy. I do sincerely wish you would talk to us when you are here so we can know what we can try to do to improve in your eyes. I would love to talk more with you about this and see what we can do to keep your business. Please feel free to call my or come by anytime and I will be more than happy to discuss this with you in detail. You should also visit the Apple Blossom Tea Room. She has a lovely place.
Graciously yours,
Judy

I have been to The Rose Room Tea Parlor many times and each time it is a treat. The food is always wonderful. You never can eat all that Judy gives you. It is nicely decorated, very Victorian, and the items she has for sale are very nice. The people who work there are all so friendly. They are always ready to help with whatever your needs may be. It is nice to sit and relax and enjoy your tea and the beautiful decor all around you. Each time has been very special. I am always bringing a new group of girls and they all love it and can't wait to come back. Judy always has different teas, soups and sandwiches. I can not begin to say what my favorite one would be.

Thank you so much Mary! We are trying very hard to make sure no one leaves hungry. Sometimes tearooms have the reputation of 'not enough food'. We want everyone to be happy! We are starting to get some of our gifts in and hope everyone will keep us in mind for the holidays! We hope to see you again soon!
Graciously yours,
Judy

The Rose Room is a beautiful and extremely hospitable environment in which to share quality teas and beautifully prepared food items. My family and friends enjoyed a marvelous time here for my sister's bachelorette party. Thank you Rose Room!

Recently, several friends and I went to the Rose Room Tea Parlor for one of the 'Tea Thru The Ages' teas. What a FANTASTIC experience we had. The guest speaker was Beth Miller who is the renowned civil war period dress maker and jewelry expert. She brought her collection of period jewelry that was exquisite. The food was absolutely delicious. Judy, the owner of the tea room went to great lengths preparing food that would have been served at a tea during the 1860's. The spoonbread was out of this world. I would highly recommend this tea room; especially when they have their special 'theme teas'.

It was a truly wonderful experience for us as well. Beth went above and beyond for us that day with all of the jewelry that they brought for all to touch and feel. We had a lot of fun coming up with foods that might have been served during that era too! Thank you for sharing that day with us and we hope to see you soon!
Graciously yours,
Judy

This was my second time at the rose room. I was very please with the first visit and decided to go again. I was disappointed because the menu was almost the same as when I was there months earlier and I noticed the tea selection was very limited this time. They need to step it up some if they want returning guests. But, the worst part was the DOG. A large dog that smelled really bad sat under our table the whole time. I am almost positive that is breaking a health code?

I am so sorry about your dissappointment. I guess as much as we try to say we change all the time, it can be difficult. Although, I confess, some things get requested so much, I find that I keep them on the menu. As far as my tea, I have not deleted any teas. I actually have some new ones, but sometimes forget to mention them. I did just reprint the menu with the new teas. As to the dog situation, I unfortunately, have no control over the owner of the building. He did periodically 'dogsit' a friend's dog and she is not very well behaved. I did chase her out whenever I knew she was in there. If it is any comfort, the health inspector was just here and we did pass our inspection. He is aware of that situation. We would love to have another chance, if you will get in touch with me, we will certainly compensate you for this bad experience.

What a lovely place! My good friend and I had the pleasure of visiting and taking tea in your wonderful tearoom. The place settings and decorations and beautiful chandeliers were stunning. The tea was hot and lovely and the food was all very tasty ( the chocolate chip scones were a bit overdone, though...but still quite yummy) Just loved the asparagus and ham in phyllo...My friend and I have been to many tearooms and this is definately one of the better ones, both in taste and value. Looking forward to coming back once more.

I had the pleasure of having full tea at Rose Room over the weekend. I can't say enough how yummy the food was and how gracious our host was. I drove from York and the traffic was horrible so I was late but there was nothing but a welcoming attitude when i finally arrived. I brought an out of town friend with me and it was just the best way to start our day. I can't wait to come back!
