Food: My friends and I visited Rowena's and were very disappointed in the service. The server made us feel as if we were bothering her and she seemed rushed. The tea was good and the food was delicious. Overall we were not impressed. |

Food: Had my bridal shower here and had a reservation. The party arrived before the reservation but it took more than an hour for us to be seated. Our servers rushed through the tea, we weren't offered to choose teas and were given a tea without being told what it was. The service was sloppy, many people had tea spilled on them or on their plates. The sugars were not refilled, no spoons were given to us. It was a let down after hearing so many good reviews. I also found the dining area to be over crowded, too many tables in small areas. |

Food: I am the Director of The Virginia Tea Society. We returned to Rowena's Tea Room once again. We had out of town guests and knew they would love a fabulous tea at Rowena's. Once again it was beyond belief. There was comforting music playing in the background, beautifully set tables with a vase of fresh flowers on each table. It is still the best tea, in this area. We chose bottomless pots of Liz's Blend and Apricot tea served with lemon and oranges slices and sugar cubes. We were also offered goblets of water with lemon and glasse of red grape sparkling cider. There were various types of sandwiches and their signature carrot jam chicken salad served on endive leaves, cherry tomatos, two scones, (the best I have ever tasted) served with lemon curd and assorted jams, three slices of Row... Food: What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. The jasmine tea was wonderful and the choice of tea sandwiches, scones and cakes were phenomenal. I will be sure to return when I am in Norfolk! |

Food: The Virginia Tea Society had the pleasure of enjoying our February 2009 tea at Rowena's Tearoom. As always, everything was excellent. We had the pleasure of having Rowena speake to our organization. She is a wealth of knowledge and it is a joy to have her share her experiences with us.
