Secluded Celebrations

Magical! Our babysitter hosted a tea for her babysitting moms and Grit and Rich delivered a wonderful event. From the moment we pulled into the candle-lit drive and entered the cozy and beautifully decorated tea room, I knew I was in good hands. The tea was delicious (one of my first teas, however), the food tasty and delivered by a gracious and witty hostess, and the atmosphere was so peaceful. I'd reccomend Secluded Celebrations to anyone looking for a special night out.

We are a group of ladies, having met in London, England; we have had many 'Teas' together. Secluded Celebrations is by far the BEST yet.

Grit made the afternoon a true delight. After choosing our menu, Grit prepared our choice to perfection, with a few added surprises.

I came home and told my husband every detail….He, and some of the other husbands, wanted to know if men are allowed. I will have to check this out.

The ladies will return, and hopefully with our husbands.

Thank You Grit for the “Tea”, the tour through the gardens, and a lovely afternoon.

I have been to a lot of teas all over Michigan, London and New York City and this place has it all! It is country but very elegant with linen and unique china. The hosta gardens are one of a kind. I got to pick the different courses that were all home cooked and was outstanding. The quality and amount of food were so worth the price. Might be a little hard to find but well worth it! The owner was a delight and paid attention to details. What a great evening!!!!

Secluded Celebrations is unique....a beautiful setting surrounded by hosta gardens and the woods. And ofcourse 'Grit' is a fabulous cook and every luncheon that I have attended has been delicious and beautifully presented.

We are perhaps one of the longest standing tea groups in the area, and have had the pleasure of enjoying tea at Secluded Celebrations since its inception as a tearoom. We have participated in every holiday event possible and every season in this chariming setting, and always anticipate the next fresh seasonal menu and decor Grit will present us with. Each visit is a new treat and experience. The outdoor amenities only enhance the total experience. You will surely be delighted.

Too bad there are only 5 stars! Grit definitely deserves many more than 5.

I am part of the British group and we as a group have tried many tea rooms in the area, none can compare to Secluded Celebrations.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and didn't want to leave.

The service was outstanding as well as the food and entertainment (thank you Grit!) The walk through your gardens was a real treat, also. You are a real gem. We will be back, hopefully sooner rather than later.

My friends and I had a wonderful afternoon here. The food was spectacular. We had a very nice tour of the beautiful gardens after lunch. We will be going here again!

Over the past year, several friends and I have enjoyed tea parties in various settings. Grit's Secluded Celebrations was amazing. To sit and watch the humming birds pass by the windows was such a treat. And the gourmet food was a delight for all, each course building and flowing so nicely with the last. The gardens were in full bloom (in late July) and we all enjoyed the garden walk afterwards.
Yet with all the treats provided, Grits humor and personality were my favorite treats. She shines here and we can't wait to go back soon! Thank you Grit!!!

We are a group of women who lived in England at the same time thanks to our husbands jobs. Ever since, we have enjoyed searching out tearooms and today we experienced Secluded Celebrations. Grit was a very special hostess, the food was excellent and her garden tour was magical. We all agreed that it was our favorite and we will be back. Thank you Grit.

Secluded Celebratons is in a beautiful and restful setting. Woods surround the house and the gardens are lovely. It's just as pretty in the winter.
Of course the food takes over once you have settled in to enjoy the tea room and beautiful table settings. Every course is carefully chosen and prepared and is delicious right to the very end. I have been to many tea rooms and consider Secluded Celebraions at the top of the list.

A splendid dining experience with my daughter and a small group of old friends. The tearoom was very inviting. Great appetizers, soup,entree,vegtables and a lovely creative dessert. Ending with the most delightful tea I've ever sipped. Grit and Rich were warm and comfortable hosts. I highly recommend this intimate experience for any group wishing to dine out yet remain close to home. A lost art found! Thank you. ~Judy

Our Valentine Tea was just lovely with a 4-course gormet meal plus dessert. The food is outstanding and prepared by Grit, the owner. The room was decorated for the occasion, and watching the winter birds outside the windows in the country setting was amazing. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. I'm ready to go back anytime.
