Overview

Thank you for your interest in Secluded Celebrations.

This has been a dream of mine for quite some time . . . to serve good food at a leisurly pace to family & friends without being hurried or rushed, taking the time to enjoy each others company.

Whether it be a special occasion such as a birthday, bridal or baby shower, or just a nice get-together, we can make a delightful celebration for up to 16 people. A minimum gathering of five please.

We can create a menu to your liking. It is important to me that I serve the freshest food that is locally grown. I shop our Farmer’s Markets and purchase from our local farmers. I cook from scratch and use organic whenever possible.

The price will depend on the menu desired.

Sit back, relax and let us create your own Secluded Celebration.

We had a FABULOUSLY WONDERFUL 12th Birthday celebration for our daughter, Celeste, with 12 of our very dear lady~friends. It was a lovely bit of heaven-on-earth where time stood still for us. The food and service were 'delectably delightful' in every way. Thank you for making it such a special memory, Grit.

If you are looking for a relaxing and nourishing respite, I HIGHLY recommend Secluded Celebrations. I was there for lunch with five of my coworkers and we all had a lovely time. The food was beautiful, delicious and plentiful, the teas were unusual and soothing and Grit, the owner was just plain delightful! I can't wait to go back....again and again and again.

The food was delicious and I especially liked the new tea, Peace. It is a very secluded, wonderful setting for a tea room.

Every single aspect of our visit was wonderful; food, setting, music, service. It was a wonderful interlude from a busy week, and I can't wait for spring to come so I can go back.

An absolutely divine experience. The table setting was perfection, and our hostess made us feel so welcome, I felt as if I had known her for years, and would gladly have stayed for dinner had she invited me! The setting is rural, lovely and even in the midst of winter, gorgeous. I will be back in the spring, when everything is turning green. I could barely twaddle to the car, I was so stuffed. I look forward to returning with my daughter.

I experienced my first visit to Secluded Celebrations Teahouse this weekend and it was delightful and relaxing. The food was excellent, served beautifully, with great attention to detail. Grit was warm and friendly. The setting was absoulutely tranquil with birds playing in the snow and nature at its best. I hope to return again in the Spring. Thank you Grit for a wonderful experience.

Our group attended our first tea at Secluded Celebration’s this afternoon, and I have to say that it was well worth the drive (Thank you Grit for the well placed road signs!) Everything surpassed our expectations! Grit’s tea room is warm and inviting, and the view of her snow covered property was magical. Grit is a gracious hostess, her quick wit and charm instantly put us all at ease, and we got a chance to just relax as she attended to every little detail. The food was delicious, cherry scones with lemon curd and clotted cream, cream of asparagus soup served in antique cream soup bowls (a highlight for me), a scrumptious quiche and her signature spinach pie which will definitely have us coming back again. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better it did… her chocolate tiramisu was incredible! I’m still thinking about it! Grit, thank you again for your wonderful hospitality we will see you again in the Spring!

If you are looking for a relaxing afternoon, you don't want to miss out on Grit's tea room. The food is appealing both to the palate and eye. The wooded setting and hosta gardens are an added bonus. After a very special dining experience, we enjoyed a walk with nature. Don't miss out on this delightful tea room.

Secluded Celebrations sets nestled in the woods, in the center of 10 acres of hosta and perrenial gardens. Great food - multiple courses, all made pure and locally grown - organic whenever possible. Tea hostess, Grit (Margaret), as natural as the hostas and gardens her cozy tea room sets in, is a delight. She loves what she does and invites you to enjoy a leisurely afternoon, and weather permitting, she will offer you a guided walking tour of her gardens in the woods. Signature spinach pie will bring you back again and again. Each private group has the opportunity to customize a menu to your group's preference. Minimum of 5, maximum of 16.
