Secluded Celebrations

The Birthday Tea I attended today at Secluded Celebrations was one of the most charming experiences I have ever had. From the moment I arrived in this country garden paradise, I felt as peaceful and contented as my surroundings. From the warm welcome of our congenial hostess, Grit, to the graceful ambiance of the elegantly appointed tables and delicious four-course gourmet luncheon and signature 'Peace Tea', it was the most enjoyable afternoon with friends that I have spent in many a year. The mushroom barley soup that began our meal was especially delicious containing several different kinds of mushrooms as well as carrots and fresh herbs. A jolly tour of the extensive gardens was both informative and a nice break between lunch and dessert (Decadent Chocolate Mousse served in wine glasses!). Grit's attention to every detail, including regard for my own nut allergies, augurs great success for this unique establishment. I can't wait return in the fall!

I have had the pleasure of having lunch here three times. The tearoom is surrounded by woods and beautiful landscaping, thus the view from the windows are beautiful. The owner and chef, Grit is friendly and professional. The food is gourmet, and the tea served is apropos to the course being served. The table settings and room decor change with the theme of the tea and the seasons. The experience is lovely, with a touch of class without being stuffy.

I have been here three times and each time is better than the last. The owner is a delightful person and a perfect hostess!!! Her menus are great. Margaret is a super cook.
Plan to go next summer.

I had my surprise baby shower at Secluded Celebrations and it was amazing. My family and I loved the very diverse menu and the beautiful cozy and warm surrondings. The host made us feel so relaxed, like we were home. I would go back in a heart-beat.

What a beautiful country setting! While you are enjoying the really good food you can look out at the beautiful landscaping and watch the birds, butterflies, and rabbits. I felt really relaxed thanks to Grit and her comfy tea room.

A beautiful place (outdoors and in) to relax and dine with friends. Our hostess was charming and a lot of fun. I am already looking forward to our next visit.

Girt offers the complete experience for a group of friends to enjoy each others company while taking in the view and dining on wonderfully prepared recipes. You must try her signature tea.

Congratulations, Grit, for the fine tea house you have established at Secluded Celebrations. Our book club had a delightful luncheon which was perfect down to every detail. It was so nice how you spent some time with us but at the same time allowed us to enjoy our lunch and enjoy conversation with each other. Your decorations were perfect for our group right down to a centerpiece of books and beads rather than flowers. I wish you much success with your dream of having a tea room.

Some members of our book club spent a delightful afternoon enjoying Grit's Victorian tearoom and delicious luncheon. Her attention to detail made it seem as if the food and tea just appeared. Grit even used stacked books as centerpieces! Chris...too 10-14-09

Our hostess, Grit, treated us to a fantastic afternoon. A wonderful welcome and marvelous luncheon gave 'Our Novel Group' a day to remember.....we can't wait to come back!
