Serendipity Tea Room and Cafe'

Everything about our visit was excellent. We had a peaceful, fun time. I truly enjoyed my mini-mind vacation as my senses of sight, smell and taste were pleased. I had my camera along and snapped beautiful pictures inside and out. After they were developed, I saw my friend's reflection in the mirror on one of the dressers which I didn't expect. It was truly a serendipity day! Piper, it shows that you love your work and we so enjoyed your cooking and talents.

My granddaughter and I have a wonderful experience every time we visit. It is such a relaxing time for us just to 'girl talk' and the food and service are excellent. Marissa says to keep the Strawberry Soup coming!

Wow...really. I found Serendipity on this website while looking for a good stopping place along I-70. I am so glad I did! I didn't have a GPS so I had a little trouble finding it. It is tucked in some shops along the river. One thing is for sure-it is so worth finding! The room itself is small and wonderfully decorated. The menu offers all the things you would want for a 'tea' lunch so we had a very hard time ordering. We chose the chicken salad sandwich and it was heavenly. Even better than the chicken salad was the peach soup. I will crave that until I can go back. To finish we had a coconut cherry scone. I have eaten a lot of scones in my day (being married to a Brit), but this was incredible. I also have to give major props to Piper and her staff for looking after our girls. ... (more) We had four with us ages 5-9 and they had a blast. Piper set them up with their own tea pots, a cute lunch complete with pink marshmallows and FANCY HATS! It was adorable and they loved it. When the girls got restless and we feared our tea time was out to soon, but Piper brought the girls out crafts to do so we could enjoy another cup! Really, as you can tell, we couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The best tea room around. The food is delicious and such a relaxing atmosphere. You;ll want to sit and relax a while in this restaurant. The staff is exceptional,so friendly. If you want something out of the ordinary and out of the hustle bustle fast paced restauants take a break and try this surperb place.

Went for my mom's birthday and had an excellent high tea! The tea was excellent and the shop was so charming and inviting! We were served so many wonderful courses and had a great time speaking with the owners! So friendly and kind!

We had my daughters lingerie shower at Serendipity. Words cannot express the professionalism of Piper, Kate & Lyric (and Donnie too) The atmosphere is 'classic tea room'. The food from the raspberry salad, chicken salad & tomato bacon sandwiches, strawberry scones and the special 'tea cup' dessert was fantastic! An afternoon bridal tea at the Serendipity Tea Room was the most lovely way to celebrate my beautiful niece's upcoming June wedding. Piper and her staff were most accommodating and pampered us with the most appetizing and artistic delectables. What a lovely afternoon!

I recently attended a 70th birthday celebration at Serendipity. The website does not do this tearoom justice! It was more beautiful in person than you can imagine! Every detail was perfect. The atmosphere was gorgeous and the food was truly wonderful. We drove over an hour and I must say it was well worth the trip! Highly recommend!

I recently hosted a Bridal Tea for my daughter, Amy, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Everything was perfect. Piper is an amazing person, so helpful and accomodating. The servers were very pleasant and professional. I can't say enough about Serendipity Tea Room.

I had my daughter's 8th birthday party at Serendipity and it was wonderful...Piper is the best hostess...We had a small hiccup but Piper contacted me and explained what was going on but everything worked out. The food was delicious. I didn't have to do anything. She did all the work and entertained the children. I have recommended Serendipity to everyone that I talk to, whether it is for lunch, cinderella party, or just to go and drink some tea.

I was honored with a bridal tea at Seredipity this weekend and it was truly marvelous. My Mom and sister-in-law did an outstanding job in selecting the location!! The tea, food, atmosphere and company were most delightful! I would recommend Serendipity to all! Thank you so very much!!!

Yesterday, May 22, I attended my first Bridal Tea. It was a celebration for my beautiful, soon-to-be, daughter-in-law Amy given by her fabulous mom Edie. What a delightful time we all had. The food was delicious and the staff couldn't have been more professional and courteous and the delightul ambiance topped it off perfectly. How very special that such a place exists and that the bride's mom was so smart to get us all together in such a clever way.

We had my sister in laws bridal shower here. It was fantastic! Everything was done perfect! I truly beleive what makes or breaks a party is the servers and organization. How well things move along. Piper(the owner) had things so well managed and was on top of everything! It couldn't have went smoother! I cannot say enough about the Serendipity Tea Room, it was a delight!

This is by far my favorite tearoom. It is a lovely and clean establishment. The food is truly excellent. The tea selection wonderful. The service was excellent and always with a smile!

Recently had the pleasure of having tea at Serendipity. What a lovely experience. The food was delicious. What a wonderful way to honor two very special teachers as they retire. It was great to relax over a superb lunch and not have to rush back to class!

We enjoyed take out from The Seredipity Tea Room today. We ordered the Raspberry Salad and added a scoop of fresh homemade tuna salad, since it is Good Friday. ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY DELICIOUS! We also tried the Peanut Butter Scones, and WOW - a Party for Your Tastebuds! Thanks Serendipity!

I visited the Serendipity this afternoon with two of my friends. We enjoyed our lunch on the quaint porch! It truly felt as though we were on vacation! A must for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary!

Serendipity Tea Room and Cafe is truly the best Tea Room experience I have ever had each time I return. I call myself Serendipity's regular 'holiday' customer. I have had the opportunity to visit Serendipity on Valentine's Day, Saint Patrick's Day, and now during the Easter season. I await in excitement the decor of the upcoming season or holiday. Piper is continuously changing her decorations and table arrangements according to the season or holiday. Not only is the decor and atmosphere wonderful, but the food is superb with exceptional taste and presentation (Raspberry Salad, my favorite!) and the service is outstanding! Each time I enter the Tea Room I feel welcome and like I become a part of something very special. I cannot wait to visit again for the next holiday!!

Just recently I have started to become interested in learning about tea rooms. Through my research I have been able to check out various tea rooms around the country. Last week I took a drive to Speers Pennsylvania and my destination was the Serendipity Tea room. As I first stepped through the door I felt a positive vibe. The exceptional food was secondary to the great service and the kind hearted people who are in charge of this establishment. Take the time to visit Serendipity Tea Room because it will open your eyes to a whole new dinning room experience.

Spectacular food, abundant hospitality and exceptional organization are three of the many qualities taht made my daughter's sixth birthday tea party our best birthday experience yet. I would give Piper and her staff the highest ratings for both quality and service. No detail was left overlooked, and all of my requests (and I am extremely picky, so I had many) were graciously accommodated. Every daughter should have the opportunity and good fortune to experience a Serendipity Tea Party. We are thoroughly pleased with our experience and recommend Serendipity without hesitation.

I recently had my daughter's fifth birthday at Serendipity. We had a princess party with Cinderella. My daughter is still talking about her birthday party and how it was a 'dream come true!' Everything was perfect from beginning to end. I brought my daughter and literally enjoyed tea and visiting with the other parents while Piper and her staff handled every detail. Thank you Serendipity and Cinderella for making my daughter's birthday so special. It is one she will never forget!

I absolutely love this tea room! The food is outstanding and what a cozy atmosphere! I will be sure to visit there again in the near future.

Our party of four visited Serendipity and we were astonished at the quality of food. And the abundance of food! We love our afteroon teas, our relaxation, our joy in visiting with one another and this tea room accomodated us with the utmost grace, kindness, and care. We will go back many many times!

Thank you Serendipity for a most enjoyable afternoon! We have never experienced high tea quite like this before! We are accustomed to the tier servers, but thoroughly enjoyed having the 6 courses served individually. We loved the personal touch! The grilled tomato bacon basil sandwich was to to die for and the lemon cranberry scone with homemade devonshire delicious! We just loved this quaint little tearoom and highly recommend it!!!

I recently visited Serendipity this past weekend from Peters Twp. It was worth the trip. I had afternoon tea with two of my dearest friends. The food was fresh and delicious, the staff so accomodating, the attention to detail wonderful, and the atmosphere charming. Can't wait to visit again!

I took my mom and sister here for a girls day out and we had a wonderful time. We absolutely loved this quaint, little tearoom. They have a great lunch menu with many items to choose from. We ordered the chicken salad which was out of this world as well as their white chocolate scones with devonshire cream which was to die for!! The atmosphere was very relaxing and the service was great! We will definitely be returning to Serendipity very soon!! Thanks for a great tearoom!

The atmosphere, service, food are above and beyond what I have heard from others. The items on the menu made it hard to choose. We wanted everything. I have visited the serendipity tea room several times with family and friends. It is a very relaxing atmosphere with excellent food. I have taken my 5 year old daughter there and she loved it. she got her own tea pot and cup. they really made her feel like a princess. we will definitely return many more times.

Love the tea room. Piper Pieri makes you feel like you are family. I feel as if I've stepped back in time to my Grandma Ruth's home. The chicken salad and scones are my absolute favorite. Two thumbs up Mrs Pieri!!

I can only say how grest everything is at this tearoom. the food is superb, the decor is charming and it's just a wonderful place to go to and enjoy yourself.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting the Serendipity Tea Room with my husband. We had a delicious lunch in a beautifully decorated place. Piper was a lovely, gracious hostess, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The tea room is so cozy, bright, and pretty from the table settings to the decorations so artfully placed about. I had such a nice time, and I know I will go back soon. If you enjoy going to tea rooms, this is one you don't want to miss.

I was extremely pleased with the Serendipity Tea Room.The food is excellent and the portions are very generous.The selection of teas is plentiful.The 'REAL' Devonshire cream and lemon curd served with the scones were out of this world.I will definitely go back and plan to treat out of town guests to this delightful tea room.Believe me you will not be disappointed with anything ---service is great also.I just loved it!! I give it 4 stars !!!
