I brought my mother, aunt, grandmother, and mother-in-law here today for tea, a day for the ladies!! This place was excellent, the tea selection was divine, the display of artistry and antiques was lovely. There were fabulous scones and lovely finger sandwiches. I would definitely go back again. Thank You

This was my first visit with my daughter and grandmother. We loved the whole experience. The fun way of selecting our teas was really unique and allowed us all to try something new. It was wonderful and when in the area I'd love to go again.

This was our first fall tea at 7 Owls.

Mom & I were delighted with the warming, yummy winter squash soup on a damp, chilly day in addition to the rest of the meal. It was great fun selecting from the many loose leaf teas (ours wereMarco Polo & Star of India) as well as from the collection of perfectly preserved hats which we donned. Thank you to Myra for a memorable afternoon in her lovely establishment, complete with soft music and artistic surroundings! So happy to take home mementoes from the gift shop, too!

On my 7th visit to Seven Owls last week, I enjoyed the teas, daintily prepared food, service and ambiance as much as I did on my first visit several years ago. I especially like the seasonal changes of the scones, fruit cups and soups. Thank you, Myra, for another memorable visit.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit today. We shared a delicious tea and ate everything served to us. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. It's so nice that Lancaster has this lovely establishment where we can dress up, wear hats and gloves and be girlie! It was just as relaxing and lovely as our last visit.

I went to Seven Owls a few weeks ago for the third time although this is the first time I've written a review. Each time I've been, the food and the service have been wonderful. The teas choices were abundant and the teas we choose were perfectly brewed. Everyone I have introduced to Seven Owls has really enjoyed the experience and I will definitely be going again. Thank you Myra!

I recently attended the 7 Owls Tearoom with my friends. What a delightful experience! Myra is a wonderful hostess and the food was amazing-very fresh and creative. We loved that we could pick our tea choices from such a large assortment of lovely teas. It's a marvelous way to spend a relaxing afternoon. My friends and I recommend it highly to anyone wanting a truly lovely and relaxing experience.

The tearoom is absolutely Victorian in decor, just lovely. I loved the perk of choosing a hat from Myra's collection, to wear as we dined. The food for the high tea was beautifully presented, and delicious. I especially liked the cream of potato and beet soup. If you want a true high tea experience, this is the place. From decor to atmosphere to tea to food, you will not be disappointed.

The tea they offer is anything but of high quality, you cannot hide a subpar product with hats and decorations. I also found that Myra is very rude. After coming on here to comment on this poor establishment and seeing how she showed pure and utter disregard for her customers responses I feel the need to do tell all others to avoid this establishment. I assume she will respond in poor fashion after this posting as she has done in the past, however I do not care what she thinks because she will not recieve anymore business from me or anyone else I talk to. Thankyou Myra for showing me why tea establishments in the states have not become abundant you yank.

My mother and I recently had afternoon tea at the Seven Owls tearoom and had a wonderful time! The decor was inviting and festive for the holidays. The food was absolutely delicious...scones, soup, sandwiches and delectable desserts! There was a nice selection of teas including black, white, herbal and rooibus. A nice touch was that we were able to see and smell samples of the tea to make our choice. We both would recommend you try this tearoom. :)

I recently took a friend to Seven Owls as a birthday treat. This was my second visit and again The atmosphere is Victorian with many small touches to complement the ambiance. I was much impressed with the attractive presentation of the food--including an owl shape for the egg salad sandwich! The Winter Squash soup was excellent. There was a nice selection of tea sandwiches as well as deserts/sweets. I will certainly return!

Highest quality and attention to every detail! Seven Owls was a wonderful experience, not since Enlgand have I had such a fabulous High Tea experience. We loved the opportunity to see and smell all 30+ tea options before choosing, and presentation of the prepared tea in the pot on a warming tray was expection (and refill too!). The first course of soup and scones was delicous - the BEST scones ever. The second course of sandwiches were culinarily creative and so tasty. The artistry of the sweets and desserts was equally matched with their heavenly taste. We lingered after the meal for an hour enjoying each other's company and the atmosphere in the front Victorian room. Myra couldn't have been nicer and more accomodating (especially when I changes reservation time and quantity twice). She is the perfect hostess with charm to match this oustanding tea house. You must visit and you won't be disappointed.

My mother, 2 sisters and I received a gift certificate for an afternoon tea at Seven Owls. We had only experienced afternoon tea once before, and were relatively unsure what to expect. WHAT A GREAT GIFT IDEA! We came away greatly impressed, relaxed and very full! From the time we entered, we couldn't take our eyes off the delightful array of tea pots, cups and various other decorations throughout the quaint facility. Our outgoing and charming serving staff took the time to explain what each selection was and we thoroughly enjoyed the Peach Apricot tea - complete with the warming candle and teapot top holder. There were so many details included that made it a fun afternoon - from the owl shaped sandwiches, the colored chocolate flower, the bee on top of the desserts, the fan shaped plates, but mostly the most delicious scones and hot tea! We are definately looking forward to coming back.

This is my third visit to Seven Owls. After visiting three other tea rooms in the area I am absolutely in love with Seven Owls. Myra is always the most attentive and responsive hostess. Her teas are always of the highest quality and her amazing selection changes with excellent new surprises. To say that a personal touch is added to everything they do is an understatement. This past Saturday was my fourth visit to Seven Owls and , as usual, I was NOT disappointed! The food is wonderful (especially those scones!), the tea selection is outstanding ( I suggest peach-apricot), the service is very personalized, and the attention to detail at this quaint get-away is so enjoyable. I didn't think there was anything else that could make an afternoon at Seven Owls any more enjoyable. I was wrong. Add a most gifted psychic to the mix and you've got the makings for a really memorable day! And so it was on April 16th. I understand there will be future psychic teas. Make reservations & join in the fun!

My wife took me to seven owls since she raved about her experience and was craving a return. We tried two different kinds of the many teas available. The hostess was very nice, and accomodating, even explaining the secret to the amazing scones. I have been to england and had scones that were dry and plain. I have been to Seven Owls Tea Room on many occasions, both for group events such as baby showers and for traditional high teas. In every situation, the teas have been delicious and thoughtfully chosen. The scones at Seven Owls are by far the best I've ever tasted (so many places have bland, heavy 'scones' that taste like nothing but flour) and the flavor varieties change with the season (gingerbread scones in the winter, pumpkin with cinnamon chips in the fall, etc.) - definitely worth the trip! Myra and her staff have always been welcoming and accommodating. The tea room is beautiful inside and out. I enjoy going out for tea and have been to tea rooms all over western new york - this one is by far my favorite!

A group of 12 went there on 1-29-2011, this had been planned for a month and were informed the cost was $17.95. When I checked on the web the other day the price was $17.95 but when the bill came it was $23.95 per person. We questioned it & were told 'Oh we raised our price as of Jan.' When thoses of us who have smart phones went on line it still stated $17.95 and was last updated 1-1-2011. The owner stated 'my husband does the website he must have missed the price.' She just lost 12 repeat customers, all she could say is I'm sorry but if you have been here before you will notice we have added a seasonal plate; Butternut squash soup cost $5.00 extra?????? If that is the case it should be a choice to have it or not. This is only the 2nd Tea Room I have been to, I will not be back. The 1st one I had the choice of as many different teas I wanted, I didn't have to drink a tea I did not like because you are only allowed 4 choices per group. The Devinshire cream & Lemon curd, a very very very small serving cup of each were put on the table to be shared by 2 it was really only enough for 1 person. Not worth $24.00 per person at all. I give it a thunbs down

All of the special touches and the thoughtfulness of Hostess Myra Vining of the Seven Owls Tea Room made my 50th Birthday a day to remember! This was the first visit for myself, my mother, and a friend who joined us and shall not be our last! The tea room itself is equal parts Victorian Charm and childlike whimsy! The front section is decorated with hand-applied custom stenciling while the larger rear room radiates the joy of a summer day with the hand-painted murals lovingly created by Myra's sister. A rack full of fedoras, feathery and otherwise, greets you when you enter, and you may choose a hat to suit your mood!I was seated in a high-backed velvet chair with an embroidered butterfly pillow - - befitting of one's 50th BD! Sunbeams glanced in the lace-trimmed windows on our lovely table set with crisp white linens and fine bone china plates and tea cups. Myra presented a tiered tray filled with loose leaf tea samples for us to sniff and choose and then prepared for each of us a pot of our own selection. I noticed that she even coordinated the design of the tea pots with the flavor of the tea - - more formal for the Earl Grey and delicately adorned with sweeping roses for the Cherry Rose tea. Each pot posed atop its own wire rack with a . . 'tea light' flickering beneath it to keep it warm throughout the tasty offerings to come. Myra shared that her husband, the 'Scone Master' prepared the scones which were our first course - - moist & flavorful! Not the usual dry stiff cardboard. The pumpkin ones were to die for! Served with Devonshire cream and lemon curd on the side. What followed was a stunning array of unique and artful delights! Teeny cups of fire-roasted tomato and cheese goodness - - savory complement to the cucumber sandwiches crafted in the silhouette of a large oak leaf and the traditional egg salad sandwiches in the shape of an owl topped with olives for eyes. Rich cheesecake cubes topped with teeny froted pastry seashells. A delectable peach cobblery delite and the 'ultimate' chocolate brownie presented in the round. Little cream puffs, atop of which alit a 'bumblebee' of butterscotch and carmel chips with teeny almond sliver wings. And petite cups of chocolate mocha mousse and, of course, chocolate dipped strawberries at the very peak of our tower of treats! Myra even lit a candle and helped us sing 'Happy Birthday.' After we had enjoyed all we could, we browsed in the small adjoining giftshop as she packaged up our goodies for the road. I found a small blue and white bunny teapot with candle inside, and my mother found a cute Beatrix Potter mousie print with a chunky wood frame. Our tea at the Seven Owls was a wonderful and memorable experience, and I'm sure yours will be too!

I visited Seven Owls a few weeks ago with some of my girlfriends and we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. We were given a variey of scones, fresh fruit, sandwiches and desserts all of ample portions that we all left stuffed and had food left over to take home. The Devonshire cream that was served with the scones was the best that I have ever had. There was a large variety of loose tea that was also available for purchase. One of the teas that we had was called Marco Polo. It's a black tea that has a hint of chocolate. I bought some to take home and have been enjoying it every day since my visit to Seven Owls. The decor is Victorian and you are allowed to choose a hat from their collection to wear while you are there. This definitely added to our enjoyable visit. We were not rushed and spent about two hours relaxing. I will defenitely be back very soon!

This was our party of 4's first experience at the Seven Owls and we were delighted. Food had a nice variety of items and delicious. There were nice selections of hats and gloves to wear if you so desired. Ambience took you back to the formal teas of 1900's but the hostess was very friendly and brought the atmosphere to a relaxed unrushed feeling. Looking forward to taking more friends there in the near future. Lancaster's best kept secret as I live just a few miles away & have just discovered it.

We have attended many tea houses and all agree, that this is the best tea house in the area.

They offer a wide variety of wonderful teas. Sandwiches, scones, and desserts are also offered. There are hats, tiaras and gloves, if you want to dress up. There is also a gift shop.

I attended with my mother and sisters. From the moment we walked through the door, we were in love with the decor, table settings, the variety of hats to wear, and the music. The teas were so good that we ended up purchasing all three loose leaf varieties we tried, and the food presentation was beautiful, unique, and delicious beyond description. Before we left, we were already planning our next visit!

I recently had high tea at Seven Owls- what a treat! My friends and I wore hats and tiaras from the amazing collection of new and vintage pieces available. We chose to try two different loose teas, and enjoyed the amazing mural of a garden scene on the walls. The food was incredible- the scones were the best scones I have ever had, and the attention to detail was top notch from the first sandwich to the last sweet bite of dessert.

THE BEST! I'm 17, and all of my friends who joined me in the experience of seven owls all range in age from 16-18 years old. WE HAD THE BEST OF TIME! something completely different from the normal teenage boring summer things (hang out here, go swimming there.) We had soo much fun, and truly enjoyed! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! oh my goodness, not only did it look amazing but it tasted amazing! I expect to go there time and time again! Completely NOT for only one age group, EVERYONE would enjoy it!

Victorian style atmosphere..The Garden Room where tea was served was cozy and the garden wall murals made it warm..offered a variety of whole leaf teas, an African, decaffinated, red bark was the choice for the Baby Shower held here to accomodate the mother-to-be and it was excellent. The food served for the High-Tea celebration covered everything from homemade scones, decorated sandwiches and decorated sweets which were artistically done in a variety of designs and characters. We topped off the experience by wearing typical English style hats of all shapes provided by the establishment. A truly lady-like and enjoyable experience was had by all. I would highly recommend having any type of lady's get together here.

A gracious experience on a damp, cold day! Myra graciously provided a warm atmosphere and delicious treats to us. We were celebrating my sister's 77th birthday. The scones were outstanding - butterscotch with mscsdamia nuts were particularly delectable, and there was none of the baking powder flavor that so often if found in scones. We had Lady Grey tea, and were glad that it was available, because neither of us enjoy fruity teas. Be sure to see the mural room, an oasis of spring to be found in the Western New York winter. I have already made a Mother's Day reservation, and I hope they use their wonderful porch for the summer months!

I had my sweet sixteen birthday party at Seven Owls last night and invited 6 other girls. We got dressed up and arrived where Myra the owner has stacks and stacks of hats and crowns to wear during tea; the pictures are histarical! The room is beautiful, and looks like its set in the time period when tea was extremely popular. There were many tea's to choose from but I think that all of our favorites was the cherry teas that were excellent. Also, she sends out trays of scones (if you reccomend blueberry, you won't regret it!) then later 3-layer trays with sandwiches, and deserts. For my birthday a candle was put into a cream puff! The place is lovely, and the owner Myra is very nice. Also, flexable. I wanted my tea party on a Saturday when everyone could come and at a later time. She opened Seven Owls JUST for us! It was the best party I could ever imagine, and I wasn't the least bit disatisfied with anything! Memories forever; thankyou again.

PS) I'll upload my own photos from the party!

I was so impressed with the experience I had today at Seven Owls!! I am a professional singer on tour and spending some time with my dear girlfriend, who lives in the Landcaster, N.Y. area. I wanted to treat her to a special afternoon...I did...the food was incredible, scones so moist and full of flavor, tea was loose leaf (my favorite), and a wonderful selection to choose from, not a detail was missed. The atmosphere was relaxing, quiet, and calming. Myra and sister outdid themselves. I am the founder and host of the Las Vegas Ladies Tea Society, so I would know.<smile> Keep up the good work girls!!! And, Bless you hearts. June 27th, 2008

      Perfection!

I had my Baby Shower at Seven Owls this past weekend. Everything was so perfect. The Tea Room is beautiful on its own, and they added many personal touches, for example of the table linens were pink because I am having a girl. The food was absolutely amazing; they even modified things for me because I dislike mayonnaise. They made baby faced cupcakes that were so cute you didn’t want to eat them! The hostesses were very welcoming, and made everything go smooth. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

I had the pleasure of hosting an afternoon tea and bridal shower on a sunny Sunday at the Seven Owls. The hospitality was warm and welcoming and our tea, Star of India, was well prepared and served hot over a tea light. The varied food items were freshly prepared, artfully presented, plentiful, and delicious. Our friendly and informative servers were efficient and flexible, making our event a delight. The Seven Owls is a charming and well-run establishment.

I have visited the Seven Owls tearoon twice in the last two months and have found this tearoom to represent the core of what I believe a tearoom should be. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, the greeting is warm and sincere, the teas are varied and fully described, the food selections are varied, delicious and beautifully presented.

Each time I enjoyed tea with a good sized group and, without exception, everyone was delighted with the experience.

I enjoy visiting different tearooms as I travel, and I found Seven Owls to be a delightful jewel of a tearoom. My husband and I enjoyed a delightful experience of serenity, warm hospitality and tea encircled by four walls of beautifully detailed murals. The fresh scones were warm, and delectable. The savories and sweets were tasty and the properly steeped and decanted tea, delicious. Attention to detail is splendid, right down to the individually wrapped handmade teapot and teacup shaped “thank you” chocolates presented at the end of the meal. I would highly recommend this tearoom to anyone who may be living near or visiting the Buffalo area. I look forward to visiting again.

As a man who has run a english style tea house I must say Bravo. Myra does a very nice tea. I took my Mom to tea after church and the tea of the day was a delightful blend called indian star. The scones were delicious and she even jumped through a hoop when she found out I was allergic to nuts. She went out of her way to make me feel at home and it was so pleasurable to see a tea house in which you feel at home as a man. My first visit will be the first of many.

A beautiful Victorian style home prepares you for all of the lovely Victorian style 'goodies' that you'll find there at The 7 Owls....from hand-painted flower gardens on the walls to the scrumptious scones, delicate and delightful sweets and beautiful yummy tea sandwiches. Plan to settle in for an afternoon surrounded by all of the features of the PERFECT Victorian afternoon tea. Enjoy lace, flowers, beautiful Victorian artwork, and hats of your choice. Drink steaming cups of tea served in delicate tea cups poured from lovely floral teapots. Myra and her sister Dora are the perfect hostesses making their guests feel pampered and special.
