If you want to have the most fabulous Bridal Tea...this is the place to go! So elegant and quaint and peaceful....my Mother and her friends enjoyed the tea as well as the Bridal Party.....the food was so good! The charm cake is the most unique addition I have ever seen for the bridesmaids! Keep up the good work and Plant City should be proud! I think if I was Disney, I would buy your scones too!!Ha....

A group of some very good friends were invited and we all shared a lovely tea time as a thank you from me and it was amazing. I had tea with a dear friend and it was great! I haven't had a chance to write until now.
Every detail was attended to....our name at table and chalkboard outside, the absolutely best food at any tea room I have ever been too and also my daughter had per picture take with the owners daughter in her wedding gown during her bridal portraits. It was just precious. My 7 year old daughter had on a Tiarra like the Bride and they were both like princesses.
They make you feel like family. Go to Southern Belles and have a true tea experienc and feel like a Southern Belle!

This Tearoom was so nice as I was with a group who came this week. We had the most wonderful time....relaxing and everything tasted great. The tea was prepared by loose leaf and I had many questions and all were answered. The owner was very knowledgable about the health benefits of tea and explained the health benefits of tea, etc. Can't wait till they have their health seminar tea soon.
My friends enjoyed every minute of it too! We are nurses and they have such wonderful books and gifts and many items on sale too.
It is very elegant, but quaint too as it is in an cottage just off the interstate. The only negative thing was we arrived way too early as it the drive was easy from Tampa and we thought it would have taken longer. This is really the best tearoom above all in the county. Great value for the quality of the food and tea.

I came with a group this week and simply had the most elegant tea and experience! The tea was wonderful, all loose leaf and served beyond perfection! The food was beyond delicious. From the wonderful scones to the delicious sandwiches and deserts. Every bite was better than the first. The gift shop was great too!!!They have a great sale on Christmas items...
Our tea glasses and cups were never empty and always served with a smile. The gentlemen who also is a chef was so gracious...everything was relaxing and great! They had fenton glass too, which is not available anymore...simply lovely!
And everything was perfectly by protocol but with a loving southern hospitality!

I attended a beautiful Bridal Tea on Saturday and it was so wonderful! Everyone had such a grand time and the food was to die for! The Victorian Tradition of the Bridesmaids charms was so unique and the cake was so elegant with real roses and the Bridemaids were thrilled with the charms that were pulled out with ribbons...especially the one that stands for next to marry!!!
The tearoom was just beautiful....we felt we were special guests in an victorian castle!

We brought our Little Princesses to tea today and we had service that was fit for the queen! It was an excellent time had by all and the little Princess loved the scones most of all and the cute Sandwiches with ribbons on them made tham look like little packages!!!
Every detail was attended to and I would highly recommend this tea room to everyone! You feel like you are a guest in a castle!

The monthly club met and it was wonderful as always. There were so many cars out front, but not to fear....staff waited on us like we were queens! Great atmosphere and peaceful surroundings with all of the crowd!
The food gets better and better and the scones are so good!!!!
They have a great Christmas Clearance sale now as they expand their tea room area....wow what savings!!I love it here....so quaint and beautiful!!!

I was present for a tea a few days ago and all I can say is WOW! Everything was all you could ask for. Elegant, but not stuffy. Beautiful and quaint....after having a time in England....Southern Belles is very authenic and the food is the best I have had at any tearoom...Better...I really have to say the strawberry scones were out of this world!!!
The staff and owners were just about the best host and hostess you could ask for. Very knowledgable about the whole tea experience....took the time to answer all of my questions and the custom strawberry blend tea was just surperb!!!!This should be number one and Plant City should be proud! Can't wait to come back with my daughter for Mother's Day!!!

I just had to write and say that this tearoom was wonderful! I have been to many tearoom in the Tampa Bay area and in Plant City and this is the best! So warm and comfortable, but yet elegant too! The food is top notch and the owners and staff really know a lot about tea. The gift shop is great and very large too! They added the tearoom when they moved their store in 1998 and it seems since they added theirs, a lot of other tearooms have popped up and pretty much have copied everything they do! This is the real deal and a wonderful place to have a tea for two or a group or Shower. By the way, they are really close to I-4 too and plenty of parking! Son't miss this one.

I agree with Jessica P. Some of the reviews of tea rooms on this website do not accurately reflect the true quality of the tea room. If you compare this tea room to others, Southern Belles should be number one for food and tea variety, quality, and artistry, as well as service and hospitality. You get a very warm welcome at this tea room, instead of a chilly reception received at others. Also, they don't take 'roll' at this tea room so that they can compare teamap reviews to their 'guest' lists. If you want tea, as you believe it should traditionally be, then this is the place for you.

I just have one question? Where do they get the review ratings and why isn;t this tea room #1? This is hands down the best tearoom in the Tampa Bay area for food...most authenic and best tasting, the ambience of the magical castle like setting...easy to get too...nicest and warmest staff and owners and just plain the best. The setting is elegant, but not snobbish....the Scones are the best in the state and they are always teaching us something new and interesting about tea! What else could we want? And the gift store is a treasure trove! I just love it and we all are tired of going from tea room to tearoom when we have the best right here in Plant City!!!!

My friends and I went here for a 'girls' day.' Wonderful!! The scones (one cream cheese and one strawberry) were excellent, as were the yummy sandwiches and desserts. Definitely try the Bride's Blend tea. And Lynn and Rick were great...very friendly and answered all of our questions! Would definitely go back.

A friend and I had tea at Simply Country Southern Belles Tea Room on Friday. We had an opportunity to browse through the gift store before we were seated and were pleased at the varied selection of gift items they carry. The victorian atmosphere is interesting and comfortable. The teas we had were very good and the food was delicious. Lynn and Rick do a great job of making you comfortable and give the best of individual service-oh, and did I mention-their scones with the Devonshire Cream and the lemon curd are to die for.A very pleasant afternoon indeed. My mother and I had a wonderful time yesterday at your tea. This tearoom is beautifully decorated and the scones and chicken salad were delicious. We loved the strawberries in the little cups and how they presented the check, so unique. My mother also picked up a couple of items for her next tea party. Rick was so nice! We will be back.

Those of us who attended the Bridal Shower Tea were so pleased as it was beautiful and so perfect! Previously attended a tea with my mother and brothers and everything is attended to..from our name on the board outside to our name on the table....all the little details let alone the food is the best I have experienced at any tea room. We attended the most elegant and lovely Candlelight Holiday Tea and wanted to say that it was perfect! Everyone won great gifts and the shopping was great. The Christmas village was so beautiful with the dickens theme and on sale too! The food and scones were to die for...the Tampa Tribune was right on the money...this is the place to shop and have a peaceful time with friends and family and avoid all the crowds. We had the most wonderful time at Southern Belles TeaRoom thanks to Susan and Rick. We had a Princess Tea for our Red Hat Society Chapter, L.A.D.I.E.S., and we were treated royally. Susan and Rick have created a wonderful atmosphere and serve an absolutely delicious Princess Tea. The scones were so good! Many of us hope to attend the Ladies Candlelight Night Out - we definitely want to go back. Southern Belles Tea Room is one you should not miss, and Simply Country Gifts is a great place to shop.

The scones were some of the best I've ever eaten. The owners were very courteous and friendly and made it a very nice visit for us. They were also very accommodating to my being a vegetarian as well. We have been going to this tearoom since 2001 and it only gets better and better! Our baby shower was wonderful and many other family and friends memories have been so special. I can't wait until the Ladies Candlelight night out teas. I went to the last 2 and it was one of the most elegant and wonderful night out. The seminar on tea was great and the reading of A cup of Christmas Tea will be so wonderful. Don't miss the chance to go as it fills up fast. It gets you in the Christmas spirit and they have unadvertised specials for you to shop early along with a gift certificate too!
