From start to finish,Dean made our visit wonderful. She prepared a meal fresh for us and presentation in the garden was lovely. She invited us into her home and shared the history of their family and made us feel like family. She not only made a meal, but a wonderful day to remember

Although she had a BIG event the next day and must have been swamped with things to do, Dean Smith graciously welcomed us to Simply TeaVine, shared the history of her log cabin [in the family for 4 generations, and filled with family heirlooms & antiques], and served us delicious, homemade blueberry scones and our choice among numerous teas. It was a delightful occasion. The only thing that could have made it more delicious was real clotted cream.

My husband and I recently were visiting a friend who had moved to Hattiesburg from Michigan, our home state. My friend knows of my love of visiting tea rooms so she took us to Simply TeaVine. What a surprise it was to enter into this very spacious and beautifully decorated tearoom. It is located on the second floor of an old church office building. There are many different seating areas including some very intimate little nooks, all well appointed. Our table had a beautiful crystal chandelier hanging over it. Simply TeaVine specializes in loose-leaf teas. Dean was our very hospitable hostess and spent time with us talking about the teas and food selections. My friend and husband had the homemade tomato soup and cucumber sandwich. Their soup was a full bowl and delicious. I had the two-tier silver server of savories and sweets. Everything was delicious and served beautifully. The tearoom has their own 100-page recipe book called Ms. Sippy. The name refers to the mascot swan that graces the entrance to the tearoom. Thank you, Dean and staff, for creating a most memorable tea luncheon while visiting Hattiesburg.

Stepping into Simply TeaVine is like stepping back in time. It is an enchanted atmosphere. Dean and Peggy are PERFECT hostesses and I cannot think of another place to feel so SPECIAL and loved. The table appointments are so beautiful, teas are delightful and scones and desserts the BEST! My COMFORT zone, for sure! Don't change a thing! I will be back just as fast as I can!

Yesterday was my second visit to Simply Teavine and both times were just magnificent. We celebrated my grandmother's 90th birthday there last time with an afternoon tea in the Victorian Room and this time my mother, my sister and I sat down to lunch in the pub room to discuss plans for my wedding.
The service was more formal during the afternoon tea. Lunch seemed more casual, yet still included proper tea service. The chicken salad is delicious.
There is a signifigant variety of teas to choose from. My mother loves the Blackberry Cream. I have had the Blue Lady both times and have fallen in love with it. My sister had Avalanche Rooibos and really enjoyed it. Hopefully next time I will be advenurous and stray from the Blue Lady to try another selection. Although I might just end up having to get two pots.
Thank you Dean and Peggy for such a wonderful experience.

My sister-in-law and I had a great time at your tearoom! You certainly have it together, we had the 'Erin's Traditional Tea'. Everything was exceptional, the tea, food, atmosphere and gracious southern hospitality. Of all the tearooms I've been to, this has been my favorite. My husband and I went to Hattiesburg just to go to this tea room and we weren't disappointed! We were on a 3 week trip in the southeast. It was a breathtaking sight when the elevator doors opened and we saw how beautiful the tea room is. There is a large selection of teas and the blueberry scones were fantastic. It was so nice of Dean and Peggy to take the time to visit with us. The tea room was beautifully decorated for the holidays and had so many different areas in which to sit for tea. The gift shop was wonderful. It was a very special place to have tea.

Simply Teavine TeaRoom is a place of distinction in the sense of its atmosphere, food, service, and one of the best selections of tea that can be found anywhere in the south and, perhaps, in an even wider geographical measure.
The atmosphere is like no other. It has an aura of quiet and peace, good cheer and joy and one of expectancy. The owners, Dean and Peggy are quietly walking around greeting and seating guests, taking time to make guests feel that they are the reason for the joy that is so felt there and leaving at one’s table a feeling of anticipation for the delicate surprises that are soon to be served.
Aside from the conversation at one's own table, there is the low hum of voices at other tables and the soft music flowing throughout the TeaRoom.
The decorations are very appropriate and make one feel right at home with all of the beautiful tea pots, cups, etc.
I like to describe the atmosphere there as one that is felt when going to a grandmother's or a very special great aunt's home where the best is served from the old treasured recipes and prepared in the most delicate fashion possible with loads of love, for many of the recipes used and so graciously served at Simply Teavine are family recipies of the owners.
The lovely, well stocked gift shop that greets one just after stepping off the elevator, is so much fun to browse through either before or after one's “Tea” experience. Anyone needing or desiring any item pertaining to making and/or serving tea would be greatly rewarded by stopping by this shop. Of course, there are beautiful baby gifts and other items of interest not pertaining to tea.
Simply put, an experience at Simply Teavine, is Simply Divine.

Simply Tea Vine is by far the nicest tea room that I have visited. Southern hospitality meets you the minute you enter the tea room, with charm and a relaxing astomphere. Excellent presentation of the most delicious tea sandwiches, sweets, and scones. Many kinds of tea to try and enjoy. Peggy and Dean are two of the nicest ladies you will ever meet. I had three occasions to visit the tea room while I was in Miss.and loved every minute while I was there.Each time a great 'tea memory' was made. I will visit again on my next trip to Miss. for a spot of tea!

Simply DEVINE, that is about all I have to say about Simply TeaVine. My husband and I drove down from Madison, MS for the Valentines Dinner. It was awesome. Incredible Service, immpecable food and a wonderful variety of teas to sample. The owners Dean and Peggy were the kindest hostesses and their knowledge of teas was impressive. My husband and I will definitely come back to visit Simply TeaVine when we are in town. I highly recommend this place for children's tea parties, women's luncheons, baby showers, birthday parties, a nice private dinner, etc.

This tearoom is a superb example of what a tearoom should be! As soon as we stepped off the elevator we were charmed as we entered another world~one of beauty and filled with a warm ambiance which promised a pleasant tea experience. We were not disappointed as every tea we tried (which were several!) and all of the food was delicious. Our hostesses were friendly and very knowlegable in tea. They were generous in sharing with us interesting stories and tea facts to make our tea time even more entertaining. This tearoom is worth traveling to from wherever you live!

The Chinese New Year's Party was first rate! It was especially a hit with my 3-year old daughter. She loved playing dress up in Grandma's Attic, and she enjoyed her first REAL tea party. She can't wait to invite her friends for her birthday party tea. This was an absolutely perfect experience!

This tea room exceeded my expectations (which were already high knowing that Dean and Peggy were pouring their hearts into this project). The themed rooms provide such variety that it will take many visits to enjoy them all. The gift shop is full of must-haves for tea lovers as well as great gift ideas and the broad range of teas from which to choose make this tea room an inviting and exciting place. All of this reflects the care which has gone into the planning of Simply TeaVine. I'm so glad you're open - expect me to be a regular visitor!
