Food: This teahouse is an absolute gem. High quality teas and the presentation is beautiful. I returned several times during my trip and each time the pots, cups, and warmers I received were different, each presentation well thought out. Even individual Chinese tea tables were used. I personally love oolong and green teas, so I hardly noticed what else was on the tea menu. The selection of oolongs was excellent. The atmosphere felt both calm and welcoming, mostly Asian in design. It felt 'local', meaning, people stopping by, having conversations, but not loud and bustling. It was a really pleasant place to be. When I heard that a tea house had opened in Middlebury I had just expected a coffee shop like atmosphere with a large selection of teas. This tea house was such a welcome surprise. The owner clearly knows tea and how to serve it. |
