Overview

The Strathmore Tea Room, paying homage to hundreds of years of High Tea tradition, serves Afternoon Tea on Tuesday and Wednesday (plus additional Monday’s in December) in the beautiful Shapiro Music in The Mansion at Strathmore. As always, the Strathmore Tea Room is staffed with volunteer musicians, servers, and hosts dedicated to preserving the tradition of tea musicales at Strathmore. The sounds of local musicians performing with a wide range of instruments from the piano to the Celtic harp set an elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere. Patrons enjoy sumptuous finger sandwiches, scones and desserts catered by Ridgewells, and Strathmore's own tea specially blended by John Harney of Salisbury, Connecticut.
