Variety: Sugarplums has a personal touch that made me feel at home. I would recommend a visit to anyone that loves good food, attentive service and of course, good tea. |

Variety: Mom planned a great birthday lunch for me at Sugarplums. After finding the new location and being so impressed with the beautiful home, the food and lovely hospitality of Ms. Rowanda and Maria far exceeded anything we would of hoped for. The almond pedifores and butter bars were incredible along with our grilled chicken salad sandwich grilled on homemade bread. We enjoyed everything about this tea room and it was a wonderful place to celebrate my birthday in grand style--including a birthday cake that danced and sang 'Celebrate'!! Carmen, 9-7-08 |

Variety: I loved the original Sugarplums--the fresh baked sweets and homemade savories, loose leaf tea choices, the service and fellowship with Ms. Rowanda and Maria--, so I knew it would be just as good at the new location. It was even BETTER! My friend's birthday tea party was lovely. I will see you again in a couple of weeks and will call in early October to schedule Christmas Tea. Thanks, as always; it was wonderful! |

Variety: EVERYONE has been waiting for Sugarplums to open business in the historic Edgewater Hall and for good reason. The house is beautiful and the perfect setting for the beautiful presentations that Ms. Rowanda and her fun team masterfully create. Go and see them in their new setting - you will not be disappointed. |

Variety: My husband surprised me with a lunch at Sugarplums one afternoon, without reservations. It was simply delightful! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was inviting, warm, friendly, and charming. The ladies working there are attentive and fun to talk to. In fact, I loved it so much I brought my mother for an afternoon lunch the next week, without reservations. We spent 2 and half hours talking, eating, drinking tea (hot & cold) and visiting with the ladies while they worked. It's truly a great place to relax and unwind. |

Variety: If you want a thoroughly whimsical, fun tearoom experience with some of the best “southern style” tea fare to have ever graced the planet, then Sugar Plums is the place for you. The relaxed atmosphere, true southern hospitality, and adorable décor truly make your experience memorable. The food is simply the best of its kind. I have had tea all over the world and Sugarplums food is my number 1 choice. If you have the opportunity to visit this wonderful tea room do yourself a favor and treat yourself. |

Variety: OH MY!!! Where to start? I guess by saying our visit to Sugarplums was exciting and wonderful right from the phone call to make our reservations. Our first ever visit to the Georgia was nice and we enjoyed our time there. Sugarplums just stole our hearts and our tastebuds. We appreciated all of the beautiful ladies, the absolutely delicious food and tea and the service that made every guest in that beautiful place feel they were the only one there. Our only regret - that we won't get to see the new place until we make a return trip someday. Sugarplums sounds like a great reason to. |

Variety: I have never visited Sugarplums as I live in Charlotte, NC., but recently had the pleasure of tasting the RICH BUTTER BAR,COCONUT SLAB CAKE AND THE BUTTERMILK BROWNIES. OH MY GOSH!!! as you can tell I must be a sweet eater. THEY WERE SIMPLY TO DIE FOR. I can't wait to visit the shop in person. It will be a sweet lovers dream come true and will definately be worth the drive. Keep up the good baking girls. See ya! soon |

Variety: This is the most ADORABLE tea shoppe. My mom and I just popped in the other day (without reservations) to check it out. We politely informed the owner that we were new to the area and just happened to drive by and were wondering if we could look around her shoppe, though we would'nt be eating with them that day. Well, Rowanda (the owner) could'nt have been sweeter about it. She allowed us to look around at our leisure and after we browsed around from room to room (oohing and aahhing the entire time...it is just SO darling!!), Rowanda rejoined us for some sugarplum sweet conversation. She is very charming, adorable and dear, just like the name of her tea room suggests. The other staff whom we met seemed lovely as well. Mom and I went home with quite an assortment of boxed goodies to... (more) |

Variety: We live in Talking Rock, GA. and go to Sugarplums every time we are in the area. We love the Chicken Salad Sandwichl the Pasta Salad, Iced Tea and the Buttermilk Brownies. After reading the comments we will have to 'branch out' and try the scones. Sounds delicious. We love the Tea Room, the way it is decorated and Rowanda and Maria. I have taken our daughter from CA and she tells everyone the food is the BEST ever. We keep going back and although we have tried other places, Sugarplums is our favorite. |

Variety: As a downtown Canton resident I have visited Sugarplums on several occasions. The Southern Hospitality exercised makes this tea room extra special! One cannot help leaving with a smile!:) I recently hosted a bridal shower here and was incredibly pleased with the service provided for our party of fifteen. The orange-cranberry scones were wonderful as well as the hot vanilla tea. Mrs. Rowanda and Mrs. Maria are such a blessing! |

Variety: Run don't walk to this lovely tearoom. This is the BEST tearoom in Georgia. The tea was perfect. The food was best. Everything, including the breads, was freshly made. Nothing from publix. The owners were thoughtful and happy to share tea tips. This place is well worth the drive. Make sure to make reservations for the full tea, because you can't do a walk in and expect to get the full tea. They should be number 1 in Geprgia before long. |

Variety: My daughter and I visited today on the hopes of having lunch(we usually make reservations as suggested) Ms Rowanda fit us in. We had a wonderful quiche and salad lunch with time to fellowship. As always the staff was helpful and friendly. Ms. Rowanda and Maria are a joy to know and to do business with. |

Variety: We visited this tearoom on 2/16 with reservations. Our service was great!! We had 3 people hovering the entire time. I Liked their attitude in trying to please us. Since we 'try' different tearooms alot we expected scones with our meal. Please note when you make a reservation, you need for this tearoom to also 'reserve' your scone order. (this is definitely a first!) because according to owner their scones have no preservatives and are made fresh to order. We did complain and told them they needed to tell you this at reservation time and she did give us 'day old scones' which were excellent! They all took very good care of my 8 yr old granddaughter going out of their way making sure she was comfortable! But, I was a little amazed at the price for a child's plate of potato chips/plain grilled cheese and iced tea being $9 even at expected higher tearoom pricing! I did NOT care for my chicken salad at all! Even though everyone was overly gracious I don't think I will return. Not hardly worth my 45 mile drive. |

Tearoom Response
We had the nicest customer buy every scone, unexpectedly, hot out of the oven to take to her church group and more were being prepared at the time of your reservation. Although we do not include scones automatically with our lunch menu items, they are available for Cream Tea, etc., all day. We pride ourselves on customer service and it is impossible for us to know if you were not satisfied with your menu choice if you eat most of your meal and do not say anything. We gladly give out samples of all of our food items upon request, we would have gladly exchanged your meal choice with a new one at no extra charge if you had only said that your choice was 'not your cup of tea'. Thank you for your review, but this information would have been more helpful to us at the time of your visit. Our childrens menu is $5.75 including an iced beverage but that doesn't include a pot of hot tea. As an owner, it is a source of frustration to think that customers are hesitant to voice their opinions in today's food society... for any reason... it is a challange to have 100% of the people 100% happy 100% of the time but if it is brought to our attention, we will try 100% to make you happy or we'll try 100% to drive you crazy trying to... (thus the hovering). Thanks, Sugarplums

Variety: Okay, where do I start about this hidden gem nestled in Canton, Georgia? I heard so many wonderful things about Sugar Plums and got around to going today. What a delightful treat! Variety: When ever I visit a new town I find a tea room to have lunch. I LOVE SUGARPLUMS. The food is served on china plates and in teacups. The staff is so friendly. The atmosphere is darling. It is like visiting Grandmas house. The food is wonderful. The bread is as light as air. I love the pasta salad, egg salad, tomato bisque, brownies, strawberry cake, lemonaid, iced tea, chicken salad, fried tomatoes, everything I have tried on my three visits have been great. I can't wait to come back to Georgia. |

Variety: Sugarplums is one of our favorite haunts! My grandmother, mother, and myself dine there on a regular basis. . .sometimes we even invite the boys! Any meal at sugarplums is not complete without some sort of sweet; be it a buttermilk bar, a chocolate fudge buttermilk brownie, or a piece of the Rhett Velvet Cake. . . we never pass it up! |

Tearoom Response
I apologize for your wait! Saturdays are extremely busy and all seatings are by reservation only. We had all reservations seated at their appropriate time, but without a reservation, seating may be delayed shortly. We enjoy our tea piping hot also and we gladly would have brought another pot immediately if you had brought this to our attention. Please feel free to have a replacement pot of tea free of charge at your next visit!Maria Champion |

Variety: We visited this tearoom recently for a second time. Just wanted to check it out again as we weren't overly impressed on our first visit. After reading such rave reviews, we expected a more positive experience, but sadly that was not to be. The owner is very nice and so is the wait staff. But we had to wait too long to order and too long for our tea or lunch to arrive. The tea room was only about half full, so I think the service time could have been much better. Our tea was luke-warm and the pot only half-full. The soup was also luke-warm. The chicken salad sandwich would have been tasty if not that it had been grilled and was stone-cold. The pasta salad was tasty. On the positive side, the buttermilk brownie was good, as it was on our last visit. Our overall experience was not positive enough for us to return. |

Tearoom Response
I am so sorry your visit was not what you had expected. We pride ourselves in accommodating & taking great care of all of our patrons. We would have gladly corrected any issues with your order if we had only known. Since our Teapots are Vintage, they come in all sizes, therefore our tea is served as 3 cup pots (half full) and 5 cup pots. Also, we lightly toast our chicken salad sandwiches so that it doesn't get hot inside and it is not served as a 'hot' sandwich. Thank you for your comment. Maria Champion

Variety: One of my favorite tea rooms by far. It's warm coziness and touch of whimsy made the experience special. Genuinely warm and humorous hostess with just the right dose of attention. The food was very good and plenty of it too. It's bakery display with all the scrumptious goodies added to the total experience. She has two 'special rooms' for small private groups. My birthday tea party was all I could hope for. Keep up the good work and may your tea room flourish. |
