Variety: Wish I had read the reviews before I went. Food was good but service and attitude was terrible. Had to wait a long time between courses which was surprising since you are told what time you have to leave by when making reservations. I don't think the curtains have been washed for years disgusting and cobb webs hanging from them also. I will not return although the food was good. |

Variety: Although this place has a great menu and ambiance, the lack of friendliness from the staff ruins everything. The staff is snobby and doesn't even smile. Be careful if you make reservations and part of your party don't show up because they will charge you for the missing people. We had about 12 of us and three didn't show up and we got charged about $30 per person who didn't show. |

Variety: I am really surprised that someone would have negative comments for the girls at Sweet Divas. I have been going there for years and will continue to go there to enjoy their wonderful food, amazing scones and very friendly service. I recently celebrated my granddaughters 8th birthday there and had a more than lovely time. In fact, she's been begging me to take her there again. And I will personally vouch for the owners and say they are both very kind and attentive ladies. Reservations are required, but isn't that a good thing? They always have my table ready for me even on their busiest days. I always get their Victorian Tea lunch, but my daughter has had their quiche lunch and their grilled sandwich lunch and she always gives her compliments to the chef. Well done ladies. And as f... Variety: The owner needs an attitude adjustment and maybe they will get more return business |

Variety: It is true, anyone who has good service at Sweet Divas must have went on a rare day! Otherwise they are all very rude and do not know what customer service is. |

Variety: Short version: Phone service extremely bad!!! Each time I called it was a different response to my question. . Several times I called to make a reservation on a weekday around 3 pm they denied me and said they weren’t accepting any more reservations after 2pm when their website states Tues-Sat 11-5pm. When I finally requested the first available seating on a Saturday I called a couple of days later to confirm and they said they didn’t have me listed. Erin is very rude over the phone and you can tell with her tone of voice. Yes, the service was bad! I recommend Tea & Teacups down the street!!!!!!!!! They have a wide variety of teas. The ambiance is really peaceful and they are very generous and kind! |

Variety: I drive by this cute little cottage all the time, and I finally had the opportunity to stop in for a visit. Sadly the nice decor does NOT match the horrible attiude you will find inside. The tea selection was great and the scones were tasty, but none of that matters when your server acts like you are a burden. Im glad I tried it out but will not return because I did not feel welcome. Such a waste of a great concept. |

Variety: This is a perfect place to meet friends, and have a delicious meal in a very comfortable environment. My server was knowledgable, had a gracious manner, and was overall very nice. I've been there many times. I always make a reservation, and have never had to order my meal in advance. I'd recommend this great place to anyone who wants a pleasant dining experience. |

Variety: I have been to Sweet Divas five times (last visit 05-31-08). I keep going back thinking I caught them on a bad day and their service would improve. On this visit, the poor service began when I made the reservations and Adrianna said we (a party of 4) had to place a pre-order for our food and we all had to order the same meal. When I questioned why and explained that had never been the case in the past (including eating there with a party of about 12 women), I was told that was their policy. She finally agreed to ALLOW us to order any meal, but required a pre-order. At S.D., my Mom ordered a soda, the waitress, Erin, sacastically said, 'This is a tea house, we don't serve sodas.' Then, when she brought our tea sandwiches, she only brought enough for three guests. When I called her back and... (more) |

Variety: I started going to Sweet Divas about a year ago and have since gotten many friends hooked! The food is to die for and the scones are the BEST around! This was the first tearoom I had gone to and I made the mistake twice of trying other places- SOOO not the same!!! Some other chick on here said 'anyone can make a tea sandwich' and I beg to differ. Anyhoo, they always treat me like a star, bring my chocolate tea right away and give me my favorite table in the back so that I can act silly with my girlfriends. Brandy is always there and makes me feel so very welcome. They've even stayed open late for me when I've gotten stuck in traffic and didn't get there till an hour after the time of my reservation (thanks girls!). Try the quiche- it is so yummy and cheesy! Their cakes are beautiful and I keep bugging my boyfriend to get me the red velvet cake for my birthday! He loves their brunch- visit Sweet Divas and you'll be glad you did! Can't wait to go see them and eat lots of yummy food soon! |

Variety: The selection of teas was impressive. The food was okay...anyone can make a tea sandwich. The scones were fluffy and flavorful. However the service ruined it all. I have never seen someone roll their eyes or sigh so loudly in my life. I felt as though I was being a burden on the staff. I dont understand why anyone would open their own place if they can't tolerate the public and know nothing about hospitality. |

Variety: I have been to this tea room many times and enjoyed it every time. The scones are to die for and the soups and salads are yummy, I will return for tea. Husband and I went for a romantic dinner that they also offer and was very disappointed in the food and service. Will never return for dinner but I will be back for those scones! |

Variety: I read the comments on here (some taken with a grain of salt) and was pretty impressed with Sweet Divas. I arranged a reunion with old school friends so we had a large party that required a reservation with choice of tea service specified beforehand. Luckily they allowed me to order half the party one type of service and half another type to cover all the bases. We sat by a window, and though I enjoyed the brightness of the afternoon I thought the 'view' of Imperial Hwy was a little funny since it clashed with what I think of as a tea party. But ignoring that, and the almost too subtle decor, I was very happy with the food. The prices did strike me as a little high when I first committed to the reservation. But after the seven of us ate, three boys and four girls, there was a... (more) |

Variety: After reading all the reviews posted I felt I had to write my own, as you all did. Recently, I visited Sweet Divas to celebrate a birthday with a friend. This was the first time we visited and we are VERY impressed by their tea and food selection, and I'll tell you why. This place has charm. It feels cozy and not stiff or snotty, like other places I've seen. I will admit, the service is a bit slow, but that may be their way of giving you time to truly savor your tea. Yes, they are located in Brea on a busy street. Yes, they aren't as fancy schmancy as the Ritz-Carlton. Oh and yes, their china does not match. BUT... that does not take away from the QUALITY they offer. As a trained chef, I have seen other fine establishments serve crap on a plate. What I had at Sweet Divas was divine. Their ... (more) |

Variety: I found this tearoom to be overpriced for the lack of service and elegance. The server/hostess was rude, and made us feel unwelcome. Do yourself a favor and have a better tea experience elsewhere. |

Variety: I had an extremely enjoyable lunch this weekend at Sweet Divas. They had a special holiday menu with creative choices like Christmas in Paris and Rudolph’s Tea. The presentation was fun and had a great combination of tastes. The Paris dish had amazing cheeses. The course that ended the meal was delicious. I recommend it highly. |

Variety: I've eaten at Sweet Diva's twice, and both times the food was wonderful. The scones, quiche, soups, sandwiches, desserts, and tea were the best ever! The scones absolutely melted in my mouth. This tearoom is perfect for lunch for two or a party for twenty. I highly recommend Sweet Diva's Cottage Bistro. I plan on eating there again soon. |
