Food: My mother and I wanted to try a new tea room and drove to Athens to try The Sweetest Things. Instead of hot tea, we opted for the cold, fresh strawberry lemonade since it was a very hot summer day. It was delightful, and tasted like fresh strawberries. Our server/owner was very nice and polite, with a warm smile and generous heart. We both ordered the chicken salad plate with a garden salad. I expected a scoop of chicken salad, but instead it was a sandwich served on toasted, buttered bread. It was delicious. The simple salad was equally wonderful with tomatoes, cheese, croutons, etc. For dessert, there were many types of cakes and pies, but I'm a chocolate lover.
