This charming spot in New York's East Village is quite simply the best tea shop I've encountered in all my travels. The green tea latte is a favorite of mine, and the lavender frosted bergamot cupcakes are to die for! If you are in NY it's a must see... great staff, great vibe, great tea!

Friendly but not overbearing staff, pleasant decor, vast varieties of black, green, herbal, and flavored teas - and it doesn't end there. Loved the bergamot cupcakes with the lavender icing. Great place to sit for a while, play scrabble, or whatever you like. Sometimes you have to wait a while for a table, but that's only because it's a small place. Definitely worth a visit.

Charming, homey atmosphere. Excellent range of product both for sale and to drink. Unfortunately, no clue as to how silver needle or lapsang souchong should be brewed. I can only extrapolate that this indicates a blissful ignorance of oriental teas in general.

What a wonderful find! I've never seen such a selection of teas to choose from. The ambiance is so refreshing... the green tea latte is truly exceptional. I will return to this oasis on St. Mark's Place whenever I am in New York.

That tea room is a tea heaven. My favourite place to take a break from the fast paced city rythm. Delicious Matcha latte, they also carry my dear french verveine tea. Very hard to find around... A Plus.
