Cambria is a beautiful seaside community located on California's central coast, about 10 minutes south of the famous Hearst Castle. You'll find the Tea Cozy in a 100 year old Victorian house just off Main Street in Cambria's East Village. In addition to stocking English groceries like Marmite, Branston Pickle and HP Sauce, we also sell a wide range of small English antiques (especially china, linens, and books).

Variety: I brought my girlfriends here for a birthday celebration and to wrap up a lovely day at Hearst Castle on July 20, 2008. Tea at the Tea Cozy was a wonderful way to end our girls only weekend. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Barry and his staff were delightful and very accomodating. Due to our visit at Hearst Castle we asked to have our reservation changed and Barry was more than happy to oblige. Cambria is a sweet little town and the Tea Cozy is the jewel. |

Variety: I thought the fellow who served us was very cold and rude. When I decided not to pay my customary 20% tip, he pulled me aside and asked why I was only willing to give him so little for a tip! That was the height of rudeness. I brought my niece who is a teenager and was very uncomfortable because I wanted this to be a very special and fun experience for her. It took all I had not to tell him my true feelings about his service. |

Variety: We were visiting Cambria for the July 4th weekend and wanted to have tea and booked a reservation at The Tea Cozy. The reservation process went off without a hitch except that the gentleman booking the reservation tried very hard to sell me on a very early or very late tea time because he was so concerned that we might have a long wait if we booked any other time. I sort of met him halfway and booked a noon reservation. We arrived a few minutes late (after I phoned them twice to let them know)and they were crowded but we were seated immediately. The service was a little slow, but not unbearably so. The sandwiches were by far some of best tea sandwiches I've tasted. The tea selection was good; several black and green varieties, about 14 herbal and/or decaf flavors ... (more) |

Variety: I was so excited to visit this tea room, but was so disappointed. The service was the major turn-off My wife and I were walk-ins, but they didn't appear to be very busy. There were several empty tables, but we were still asked to wait. It took about 10 minutes. When we were seated, we waited for about 5 minutes before anyone came to our table. Our waitress was new, and didn't appear to know anything about tea or the menu. The owner was not friendly at all. The food was good. The sandwiches were delicious. The scones were ok, kind of more biscuit-y than like real cream scones. The dessert was a dissappointment, as it looked and tasted store-bought. We also did not know that the tea was brewed with leaves in pot, so the last few cups were VERY strong and acidic. I didn... (more) |

Variety: I work in a tea room and was excited to go out and be waited on in a different tea environment. We had made a reservation and had been left to wait in the front area for about 10 minutes while others were sat. To be fair, they were running a little behind but I felt that a little acknowledgement that we had reserved to be there would have been nice when other walk in tables were sat. Having said that,we ordered their tea for 3 (Royal plus another serving). I felt the tea we picked (good ol Earl Grey) was delightful (served loose in the pot..) I throughly enjoyed the sandwiches and the scones were nice. I liked the variety of desserts but splitting three ways was a bit interesting. The server tried to be response to delays and there was an odd instance where our food was given to ... (more) |

Variety: We had a wonderful time with my mother and daughters. The food was excellent and it was a very charming house with wonderful music playing. We went over Christmas and it was excellent. We go to Cambria every year and we will go back to The Tea Cozy! |

Variety: It is always a highlight of my trip to Cambria when I spend time dining and having tea at the Tea Cozy. I have been visiting the Tea Cozy for years and I am always amazed at the fine teas and goodies that are offered. The welcome you receive always makes you feel as though you were a daily visitor. The English teapots for sale are wonderful and always I am needing one for a gift. |
