Variety: My husband and i have been coming to the Tea Hive for seven years now.We come once a month. I was very upset to read the review on 2/3/10.I feel I must comment. When you walk in you are warmly greeted by either Dawn or Julie. The decor is so beautiful. Julie who is the owner takes pride in the decor, she personally does the decorating. About the china, they are always clean and never ever dirty or chipped. Julie and the staff would never allow that to happen. Again Julie takes great strides to make your experience at the Tea Hive a wonderful and memorable one. The food at the Tea Hive is so delicious. My husband and I love the food. There is quite a large selection to choose from. It is always fresh and tasty. It is made with great care and love. You will never walk away hungry, the portio... Variety: My wife and I returned to Tea Hive for the first time in a while and were pleased to see that it had maintained it's standards. We had a most enjoyable experience. The Victorian Room is very nicely done and the Elegant Tea Lunch was superb. The service was attentive and very friendly. We are looking forward to our next visit. |

Variety: I was shocked and dismayed to read the review posted on Feb. 3. I own The Tea Hive and we pride ourselves on our good, fresh food, clea antique china & silver and good service. When we ask our customers 'how is everything?', we almost always get glowing reports. However, we are not perfect and our aim is to make sure our cusomers are happy in every way. If someone tells us they are not happy, we immediately correct the problem and make sure the problem is fixed and the customer is compensated in some way. To my knowledge, no one has ever put a dirty cup or anything else back with clean dishes. Of course, this is unacceptable. If this person, did not tell us there was a problem, how can we fix it? I am dismayed why anyone would not tell us directly, they were not happy, but instead leave an extremely unkind review about us on the internet. We offer over 30 teas and wonderful sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts. We are constantly trying new things and always listen to our customers. |

Variety: I went to this tea room due to the great reviews, however, I was completely disappointed. The decor is what I refer to as 'dirty-chic'. It's just a bunch of wobbly old tables, chipped plates, and tarnished cutlery, thrown together. I felt like I was eating off of dirty dinnerware. It really was unpleasant. My cup actually had dirt in it, and when I asked for a new one, my dirty cup was just put back in the clean dish area. Yuck. As I mentioned above, the cutlery had black tarnish on it. I was too grossed out to put it in or near my food or mouth. The food itself was very mediocre to bad, and the tea selection was limited. I still do not understand why the glowing reviews. |

Variety: I have been coming to the Tea Hive for a number of years and look forward to it every time. Just walking through the door puts me in a different world. The food is gourmet on every level. The teas are the best. I've been to other tea rooms and there is no comparison.I can't say enough about the Tea Hive. The staff is super friendly and I'm glad I was introduced to this hidden treasure. |
