This review is from a visit exactly a year ago, because I just found this website. I gave a bridesmaids luncheon there for my daughter. We wanted a very Southern experience, as the groom's family are from the midwest. We had so mych fun. All the girls wore vintage hats that were in the foyer. We were in a darling private room. The food and teas were delicious.

My sister and I went to the tea room just for some girl fun, and when we arrived the lady at the front (I say this because I'm not sure if she really was the hostess) was bordering on being just plain rude. But after we were seated the server was very nice and made us feel at ease and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
I recommend the Creme Brule tea.
$11 a person and worth every penny.

We will be back.
Despite the cold lady at the front.

The overall experience was fun and the tea was very good! I thought the chicken salad was kind of dry for my taste, but if you like quiche, then the homemade quiche of the day is the way to go! Also the tomato and potato soups are delicious!!! The gift shop is definitely worth your time as they have some neat stiff in there! The service was great and I would go back for sure! If you have a special occasion let them know ahead of time and they will put a nice little card for that person on the table. I thought that was a nice touch!!!

Our lunch experience was nice as far as the server being cheerful and helpful, decor was charming, but the food just didn't cut it! It 'looked' nice, but was not worth driving the distance for. Loved the gift area, the hostess? lady that seated us could use a little cheer. We had a nice time but, I have to agree with the above about the food, not memorable, rpobably on't be back any time soon. Morgan P.

I eat here every chance that I get. The food is always great and obviously made fresh. I have never had a bad experience eating at Tea Leaves & Thyme and I have tons of great memories there with everything from baby and wedding showers to just a quiet lunch for two with my husband. Always a good time!

This was one of the best dining experiences that I have had in a long time. The crab quiche was divine! The server was excellent and upbeat! This might be my new Friday lunch spot.

My daughter and I thought that the food was rather lacking as well. I had the curried chicken balls which I thought were good but you HAVE to like CURRY! The server was very nice and cheerful but we did not even get a 'thank you/come back' as we left from the woman at the door. And we traveled quite a way. Probably won't go back.

This tea room was pleasant and really nice in all areas except the food. I don't understand how all the reviews say how wonderful the food is! The chicken salad was just okay, sort of dry and ultra plain, the 'curried' chicken balls, were just awful, (no other way to describe it.) Our table had a pretty good variety, but we just picked at our food with a lot uneaten even though we were hungry. The prices were very reasonable, but I would rather pay more and have food that makes me always want to come back. Still not sure if we will go back though. Perhaps our little lunch group should give it another try because of the reviews on the food by many of the other patrons, I guess we just ordered the wrong things??? The service was really good as it should have been since they were not too busy ... (more)

We were a group of five for the full tea service. The tea and preparation were wonderful, the service, decor, gift selection, and the little details were all really great...however...the food was just so so, to actually awful. The chicken salad was bland, the tea tray foods were sufficient, but certainly not memorable enough to have again. I must say that the warm tiny scones and lemon curd, were delicious and that alone with the tea, WOULD be worth visiting again and hopefully will be as fabulous the next time around. Next time we will only order the 'cream tea' service & perhaps food from the regular lunch menu.

After my favorite Atlanta tea room stopped serving afternoon tea, my mom and I were looking for another tea room to satisfy our 'girls day out' needs. We definitely found it at Tea Leaves and Thyme yesterday! The food, tea, and service were all great. We will go back soon for sure.

This is of my top favorites of tearooms. The owner and staff are the most wonderful hosts and hostesses. I enjoy having tea with friends here. We are never disappointed, and the quality of the food is excellent. I hope to enjoy Tea Leaves and Thyme for years to come.

I came here this morning with my mother and we had a great time at this tearoom. The atmosphere is lovely, and the chicken salad and scones were very good! They also had tasty crystallized honey, which I never had. They have some of the best merchandise in their gift shop that I have seen. Sandy was our server, and she really was cheerful and provided excellent service from start to finish. We will be back!

Our tea group returned to Tea Leaves and Thyme for our annual holiday tea and as always, we had a marvelous time! We really enjoyed the 'starter tea' and the selection of holiday themed teas to try. Great scones, cream and curd aplenty - wonderful food and great service. This is one of Atlanta's best!

I drove 20 miles to check out this restaurant after reading an article on four tea rooms in our local paper. I was very pleased with the entire experience. I'm glad I called ahead that morning to make a reservation as they were very busy for the holiday season. I ordered the Full Tea with the chicken salad croissant which was scrumptious. They had sugar cubes and artificial sweetners on the table and served milk upon my request. They even gave me a fresh pot of a different tea when the Christmas tea wasn't exactly what I was in the mood for that day. I switched to a vanilla spice which went well with the milk I was craving after having so many sweets. I enjoyed watching a little boy wearing an older man's hat savor each item of his children's tea. There was also a large group of red ha... (more)

The service here is wonderful! I brought my 15-year-old daughter for her birthday, and we were treated like royalty! The food is fantastic. They offer a huge variety of teas. We drove over 2 hours to visit this tea room, and it was well worth it!

I brought my 3 year old daughter to Tea Leaves and Thyme for her first formal tea. At first I was worried she might be disruptive but the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The menu is fantastic and the children's tea is especially nice with whimsical cookies and sandwiches. We will definitely return.

I took my mom today to Tea Leaves and Thyme for her birthday.. she was so excited and had a wonderful time.. They wished her Happy Birthday and even had a cute card on the table wishing her happy birthday when we arrived....The service was great, everyone there is very friendly and helpful and accommodating even though I could not make my first reservation due to an accident on the highway, they were able to accommodate me later which still made my mom's birthday memorable.. Thanks Tea Leaves and Thyme will be back soon.

My friend and I visited Tea Leaves and Thyme again on Friday. The quiche is the best I have ever had anywhere and the variety is wonderful. Trying the quiche is recommended. The trio salad plate was really good too. You have to visit.

What a wonderful experience! I took my daughter(3yrs) to this tea house for so much needed mother-daughter time. It was perfect in every way. She loved dressing up and having a tea party. Our waiter was beyond wonderful and I will request her in the future. The food was so good that I really want to get in the car right now and drive(1 hr) to go have it again today. I have always hated tea but became a lover yesterday. Really wished I knew what kind I had so I could drink it at home until I can make it back that way.
Anyway, This place is a must Can't wait to go again!

This is a fantastic tea room. The tea selection is huge. This tea room provides tea lovers with a chance to take tea at a reasonable price in a lovely setting. While some tea rooms have fancier food, they charge twice as much. Tea Leaves and Thyme provides a quality experience with very good food everytime. By the way, they have the best children's tea in town! Thank you.

I have gone to ths Tea Room for quite a few years (since they were in their frist location) with special friends. The atmosphere is pleasant so I have returned repeatedly to have Tea with friends. The curry chicken balls have been on the menu for as long as I can remember and are not good in my opinion. The menu has slightly improved recently and is a little less repetitious. Food quality is good, not excellent. Servers aren't artful and milk is never served nor offered. Just recently were sugar cubes offered, a touch that I like... although raw sugar cubes are better than white sugar cubes. The gift shop is lovely and I often use the gift shop only.

I used to visit this tea room with friends in 2000 when I lived in Woodstock. One of the friends I made was from England and she even enjoyed visiting this tea room. We had a lot of fun wearing the hats and enjoyed the food. There was a really good tea, Christmas Spice, or something that was my favorite. This has been the only tea room I've ever visited and we all had a great time every time we went and didn't have to wait for seating... of course, that was seven years ago!
