As sad as it is to close a business, how exciting it will be when you all find your home, the place you are meant to be.

Penny Barr has a wonderful tea room. She is most accommodating especially to those who have eating problems. A substitute was provided that was great.

What a lovely, peaceful place! The atmosphere is perfect and the staff is friendly and gracious. Tea sandwiches, desserts and scones were fresh and delicious. Thank you for letting us walk through the beautiful mansion that is being restored. The special room for little girls made me wish I was 40 years younger!

My family of 11 just went to the Tea Time on the Susquehanna on Sunday. We had the absolutely best time. They have so many tea selections to pick from you want to try them all. My daughters loved the little girls dress up room. If you would like a relaxing day then visit the Tea Time on the Susquehanna. I highly recommend it

My mother and I recently visited Tea Time on the Susquehanna, and we enjoyed a perfectly wonderful experience. This was my second visit to this charming tearoom. The broccoli soup was, without a doubt, the best I have ever tasted. The scones were fresh from the oven, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, and delicate. The decor is very pleasant; the background music is relaxing, and the hostesses are most gracious. This continues to be one my my favorite places to enjoy tea with friends and family.

My mother, daughter and I visited Tea Time on the Susquehanna last weekend and had a lovely time. The food was out of this world, wonderful potato soup and the scones were delicious...not dry at all. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is delightful. Definitely planning many more return trips.

My mother and I recently visited this tea room and were so delighted with the delicious homemade food, the service and the atmosphere of this charming place. It was such a pleasant afternoon in such warm surroundings. We will definitely return for another afternoon tea at this place which made us feel very special.

Tea on the Susquehanna is now our favorite tea room. The homemade food was just delicious. The atmosphere was just filled with ambience, very lovely. My daughter and I did not want to leave. The scones are the best we have ever tasted. We just loved it and can't wait to go back. The tea room is so quaint! I wish new homes today had that same look. God bless you Penny and Zachary. Jesus loves you all.

What a lovely tearoom. The tea selection was tremendous, the crab soup wonderful as were the tea sanwiches and pastries. My friend and I will definitely return and I'm anxious to bring my daughters and daughter-in-law to be to share the experience.

The Rowland Mansion, right on Main Street in Port Deposit, MD, is a beautiful house that dates back to the 1800s. This definitely adds to the experience of having High Tea with your friends. There are also individually themed rooms, notably the Dress Up Room for little girls to have tea. What a great idea!
The atmosphere is cozy and quiet and provides a perfect opportuntity to catch up with your friends. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. The sandwiches, soups and treats were quite tasty.

My friends and I revisited Tea Time on the Susquehanna recently. We had a wonderful time - while we were there little girls were celebrating a birthday in 'the party room' - they all dressed up and had an etiquette class and were simply adorable! The food, tea, service and ambiance are AWESOME!!

My sisters and I visited the tea room to do our annual Christmas Sister Bag day. Everything was wonderful. We tried several different teas and we all had high tea. Prices are great. We will definitely be back.

Tea Time on the Susquehanna is a surprisingly nice establishment centered in the historic and picturesque town of Port Deposit Maryland. Upon first entering the Roland Mansion, one is set back in time to a slower more refined era that appreciated the elegance and importance of enjoying an afternoon tea. Beth and I shared fresh sandwiches and scones with a pot of Oolong tea. The experience was fantastic. I would recommend “Tea Time” for everyone looking to share a pot of tea of good conversation and company.

The best tea room in the area! I have been to several of the local tea rooms and I am so pleased by this new addition. The mansion was beautiful, moderate variety of loose leaf teas (a perfect selection for everyone without the menu being overwhelming), reasonably priced, attentive service, and all of the items were definately freshly made and delicious (as opposed to the bought items I've been seeing more often these days). Probably the best scones I've ever had. The party room for children's tea parties is just what I will want for my little daughter when she's older - wonderful touches would be a little girls dream.

The warm glow of the candles and fireplace, along with the beautiful china and lace table linens were so very inviting. The potatoe soup was supurb ! I had the pumpkin spice tea. It was out of this world. The tea sandwiches and scones were very tasty. I love the idea that they have a room especially for little girls to have their own grown up tea party. They can dress up in fancy hats, scarves, gloves and costume jewerly. Feels like going back in time. Loved it. I give it 2 thumbs up !

Tea Time on the Susquehanna is an absolutely lovely tearoom. It is located in the historic Roland Mansion. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and the tables are graced with linens and china. It is the perfect setting for a relaxing tea experience. The soup, tea sandwiches, scones, and sweets are delicious. Everything is homemade. There is a nice variety of freshly brewed tea. Soft music adds to the warm ambience of the tearoom. Penny and her mother-in-law are gracious hostesses. I have visited many tearooms in the MD-DE-PA region, and Tea Time on the Susquehanna has been added to my 'favorites' list. I look forward to returning with family and friends in the future.

We celebrated my daughter's 13th birthday and the girls loved it! They dressed up in gloves and hats and thoroughly enjoyed 'playing dressup!' The food was excellent and the house is beautiful! Go visit!

What a wonderful tea experience. I have been to many tea houses and this one is one of my favorites. I ejoyed High Tea with all the works, sandwiches, sweets, scones and of course the most delicious cream of brocolli soup that I have had in ages. Most definetly will be returning with my friends and family.

My friend and I came for tea to celebrate our birthdays, and what a great time we had! All the goodies are made by the owner, each a delight. I have had 3 different flavors of scone - pumpkin, choc chip and cranberry - and all were great. The atmosphere is lovely, the perfect place for any 'ladies' gathering. The soups were rich and creamy, and the variety of sweets for High Tea were displayed and served with style.

My Mom and I had High Tea here Saturday and it was FABULOUS. I'm still thinking about the cream of broccoli soup and the great desserts. I had the Rum tea and Mom had the Choclate chip . Both were excellent. OMG the scones were warm and Mom brought one to take home. We will definetly go again and are going to try and make one of the Xmas Candelight teas.

My sister-in-law and I had a lovely visit to Tea Time on the Susquehanna. It is located in a beautiful, stone mansion - the perfect setting for a Victorian tearoom. Our waiter Zachary was very attentive and did an excellent job. I never would have guessed it was his first day. We took his recommendations on which teas to order - one pot of pomegranate and one pot of chocolate chip. We were both pleased with our selections. My two favorites of the day were the incredibly delicious cream of potato soup and the yummy chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting. I could have eaten a vat of soup and a dozen cupcakes and been very happy!

The sweet fragrance of pastries and the light flickering of candles added to the atmosphere of this tea house. The soup was hot but not too hot,the tea was a sweet blended brew served with the best chicken salad I've had in a long time with just the hint of sweet pineapple. The service was timely and our server was always smiling. I will return for more of the sweet petite pasteries.
