It it with great sadness that tea&tiques closes its doors forever at the end of the summer.
After five wonderful years and meeting so many extraordinary patrons, the economy is forcing us to close.
If you'd like to take a piece of our beautiful shop with you, please visit between now and September 15 when all of our fixtures, furnishings, tea accessories, teas, and decorative elements will be greatly reduced.
We're hoping to continue our tea service to all of you with our new service -- tea party consulting for your home party or women's group. Our expert consulting will help make your at home or off-premises party a memorable. (Call for very reasonable rates.)

Variety: In January, my mom threw me a party at tea&tiques for my birthday. The atmosphere was inviting and the decor was lovely. The little sandwiches, scones and pastries were tasty. Great tea selection. Pat was wonderful and took care of everything including the cake. Everyone had a great time. Thanks for a wonderful party! |

Variety: My mom was in town, so we went to spend some time together and have tea. The tea room is small, but very comfortable. The tea was wonderful, and the food was delicious. The owner spent quite a bit of time chatting with us, which really made us feel right at home. Next time, we hope to take advantage of the Huntington shopping scene. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon! |

Variety: We went to celebrate a friend's birthday and the service was wonderful - the food delicious and the teas outrageous. This tea room is small but very warm and cozy - the room was inviting and we were not rushed - we actually had a lovely conversation with the owner and hope that she will be able to remain in Huntington for a long time to come. It was also very reasonable and perfect to begin our afternoon in Huntington!! Thanks for making the day soooo very special for us! |

Variety: We were visiting from another state and thought it would be nice to try a tea place in a new place. Unfortunately, this place did not impress us at all. I feel that I was totally ripped off! Usually, tea pots are filled non-stop and this place only allows the one pot. It was cold and not a very warm setting either. The food was not great and I just fill that I get a lot more worth for money out where I live. If they are the only tea place in the Long Island area, I feel sorry for those who think this is a good place because believe me, this is not! The owner or people who work here should really take some lessons about tea and learn how to really host. |

Roberta, I'm so sorry you had a bad experience. As it happens, I was having a personal crisis that day. I know we were not very busy that day. I wish you had mentioned to me what the problem was -- I certainly would have attempted to rectify the situation for you. If you decide to come back, I'm sure we can make it worth your while. Again, my apologies.

Variety: attended 2 very different, yet equally lovely parties at tea&tiques. One was a 'Sweet 16,' and the girls loved the ambiance of the shop and got a kick out of the round robin Q&A game after the scrumptious food. The other was a 'Sweet 50' celebration, and all the ladies had so much fun visiting, catching up and celebrating with the Birthday Girl. What a great venue for a classy, fun, no-fuss party. - Freddie |

Variety: tea&tiques is a wonderful, little tea house. On Saturday, my friends and family threw me a surprise tea party there. It was my first time there, but it surely will not be my last. I can't wait to visit again and try some new teas and sandwiches. If you stop by, make sure to try their Warm Milk Vanilla Tea; it was excellent, as well as their chicken salad sandwiches. Anyway, I can't wait to visit again. Thank you, Pat, for the wonderful experience! |

Variety: My daughter and I are on a pilgrimage to visit all the tea rooms in NYC and Long Island. We visited tea&tiques today and loved it. Small but very cozy with a relaxed atmosphere. The decor is lovely and elegant and not stuffy or kitschy at all. Excellent selection of teas. We chose Edwardian Garden, which is a blend of black and green with vanilla and rose. Delicious! I bought four ounces and am enjoying a cup while I write this. As it was lunchtime we chose sandwiches, which were very good and well presented. I had the chicken salad and my veggie daughter was quite pleased with the hummus and cucumber sandwich. For dessert we shared an adorable little apple bundt cake, served on a tiny glass plate with caramel sauce and whipped cream. Yummy with just the right amount of spice. ... (more) |

Variety: Tucked away in Huntington is a hidden gem with a delightful variety of teas, sandwiches, and scones to take away the edge on a cold winter's day. My English wife and I found it on the Internet and were very excited. And it didn't let us down. We had two different tea blends (a Viennese blend which was recommended) which really hit the spot. The sandwiches were freshly prepared and served with sliced apples and a pasta salad. And the scones were baked on the premises and were delightful. All in all we'll certainly go back again. |

Variety: Pat, I am sorry that it took me a while to send this e-mail. I wanted to thank you for the delicious food you prepared for my friend's bridal shower. The shower was exactly what I hoped it would be. More importantly, it was exactly what my friend wanted. The food was fantastic. I am so glad that I went with your recommendations. I Oh, did I mention how much everyone loved the teas, especially the peach flavored. Thank you for your help, |

Variety: My daughter and I dined at Teas & Tiques and had an amazing dining experience. Pat Sileo, owner made my 3 year old daughters first tea experience one to truly remember. While Alyssa enjoyed her Tea for Tykes, I enjoyed Pat's 'World Famous', Chicken Salad with Walnut &Dried Cranberry. I can not wait to return for another memorable tea and to sit back and enjoy the amazing heart warming tea house. |

Variety: Tea was the perfect pick me up at this delightful and charming cafe after a morning of taking down the tree! After a lovely cup of tea, I ordered a delicious lunch and relaxed in the cheerful setting. This very special Tea Room and it's proprietor, Pat Sileo also celebrates and encourages local artists by displaying their work. Huntington is fortunate to have this wonderful eatery in its midst. |

Variety: I adore this shop! I've been there a number of times, and each visit has been a delight. Food, tea, and atmosphere are all stars in this oasis. For me, my highlight was visiting and bringing my 7 & 9 year old nieces with me for tea. It was an absolute joy. Thanks to Pat for being such a gracious hostess. |

Variety: My 88-year-old mother, her 84-year-old friend and I just returned from a lovely afternoon with a traditional three tier tea service, the first one we have gone to. We had a great time -- the food was great and the ambience was cozy and relaxing. Lovely atmosphere with very friendly service and conversation with the owner, Pat and Lauren, the main server. A leisurely way to spend some time enjoying tea, scones and dessert. Would highly recommend it. We will definitely return. |

Variety: My daughter and I went there today and had a LOVELY time. The atmosphere is warm and friendly without being intrusive, the food was terrific and the tea was expertly prepared and totally delicious. Relaxing and dawdling after your meal is encouraged by the charming owner, Pat who was ably assisted by Lauren in serving and making sure that all guests were content. I cannot wait to go back!! |

Variety: The best tea room I've been to. The atmosphere is pleasant with an art flare. (local artist/photog's work on the walls). The only inconvenience is its cramped size. The selection is excellent, and the food is great. The best part is the service. The owner makes everyone feel welcome. If Cheers were a tea room this would be it. |

Variety: I visited this tea house with my best friend, who found them when she was arranging my bridal shower- I sampled their teas and food while at my shower and thought it was great! My visit there was amazing! I was able to meet Pat and get a 'Tea Education' and enjoy their japanese berry tea with a chicken sanwhich and a scone- The food, atmosphere and staff were amazing! I cannot wait to go back and I look forward to using the tea set I purchased from there! I had a wonderful expereince and reccommend that everyone go there! I loved the personal attention we got too! It really made me enjoy myself more! |

Variety: I'm glad I went to this charming little shop last week. I had the Green Blueberry Iced tea with an apple and nut chicken salad sandwich and they were both delicious! Pat and her staff make you feel very welcome and the surroundings make you feel like you're in a victorian parlour. You must make a special trip to Huntington to experience Tea & Tiques for yourself, and it's in a nice little shopping area to stroll around when you're done. I can't wait for the art classes that the store will be hosting there! |

Variety: I just returned home from taking my daughter to this place for her birthday. I can honestly say that it was a delightful experience. The food was amble and tasty, the tea so delicious that we brought some home with us, and the atmosphere was cheerful and inviting. We have made a tradition of visiting Tea Rooms to celebrate our birthdays together and I must say this one probably ranks at the top of our favorites list. Highly recommend it. |

Variety: just returned from a lovely Saturday afternoon spent w/my nieces and sister. We enjoyed various varieties of delightful teas, while admiring the unique decor. Recommend the King Nicholas afternoon tea for best selection of delicious sandwiches, tasty scones and treats. Atmosphere was peaceful, service was excellent and even chatted w/owner on history of tea shop. We will definitely return and would recommend this adorable tea shop to all of our friends and family. |

Mary, thank you for posting this note. Our King Nicholas is named after my Yorkie, Nicky, who, unfortunately, passed away this July. It's a nice remembrance when people mention the afternoon tea by his name. Thank you
