Variety: This has been my favorite teashop in San Diego for many years! It's the closest to a true British teashop that I've been able to find. The food is fantastic, but the service is even better! Joy and Rachel do an awesome job! Their attention to the smallest details is amazing! |

Variety: I found my tea experience there most friendly and relaxing not to mention the excellent service we received. We had the breakfest tea which had coddled eggs, sausage tort and roasted vegetables along with a very yummy scone. Being a man it really satified me. The tea selection was very well put together. I could have stayed there all morning just trying all the teas that are on hand. The service is wonderful and welcoming.I will be back. |

Variety: From the moment you walk into this delightful tea parlour, you're greeted by an elegant setting and attentive, friendly service. The tea menu is varied and has something special for every palate. The food is exquisite and refined; you'll wonder how it's possible to have so many wonderful choices in one sitting! Plus, the menu changes seasonally, so there's always new treats to discover. I highly recommend having tea here with your friends, significant other and/or family. With the holidays fast approaching, I can't think of a better way to share some quality time together! |

Variety: My Mother and I visited this tea room recently and had a very nice experience. The food, service, and tea selection is excellent, the only thing that I could knock it on is decor, a little plain for my taste. We'll be back. |

Variety: Although we were at Tea Upon Chatsworth six months ago (to celebrate the 21st anniversary of our first date), our memories of that experience have remained fresh in our minds. The Special Holiday Tea was delightful and delicious (especially the pumpkin soup and the fig and brie croissant). The service was stellar and unhurried, the atmosphere, relaxing and the decor was charming - I especially liked the wreaths with tea cups and saucers. All in all, it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. I am so glad we found this gem! |

Variety: I have had the delightful experience to partake in High Tea at Tea Upon Chatsworth at least four times and EVERY time it has been exceptional. From the tasty well orchestrated tea pourings to the fantastic well matched morsels of food, the owner has always been there to oversee that everything is perfect. Love the pumpkin mousse cream. |

Variety: Reservations a must. Good free street parking available. I was in California in February and was able to go twice. I smiled when i first stepped in and didn't stop the whole time i was there. It is a gem. I am earl grey but they seemed to have a nice selection available. Food GOOD. Tea pot on the table, no cozy. Good service. They offer special tea parties, i read the flyers. I expect to be back for the cake decorators convention in 2010 and am most looking forward to visiting this tea room. Tea-Upon-Chatsworth you do San Diego proud. |

Variety: As self-described 'tea people' who traveled with Joy on a tea trip to China this past autumn, I know our presence at the tea room made Joy a little nervous. No need to worry!! It was a fantastic experience, as we knew it would be. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt extremely well taken care of. The food was delicious and plentiful, the teas were wonderful (we even took some home with us to San Francisco) and the hospitality could not have been warmer. This is a gem of a place - San Diego, you are fortunate to have Tea-Upon-Chatsworth! |

Variety: High Tea this afternoon was exceptional. Your New Year's menu was outstanding and the service was wonderful. I have been to your tearoom two or three times prior to this visit. I brought my sister this time as part of her Christmas gift knowing that she would fall in love with your tearoom, as I have. She was so impressed by your menu and said your scone was the best she has even eaten. Thank you for a perfect afternoon. Can't wait to return. Judy |

Variety: My husband and I wanted to experience high tea for the first time and decided to let Tea Upon Chatsworth be our guide... From the moment we walked in we were immersed into this delightful experience. From the decorations to the way the food is presented you can see they have paid attention to every single detail. The food was amazing, the best scones we have tried by far. The sandwiches were so fresh and tasty. Our favorite item (besides the scones) was the Apple Caesar tart. We tried a couple of teas with my favorite being the Apricot tea while my husband loved the Paris the most. Service was outstanding and we will certainly go back on our next trip to San Diego. There are a lot of teas we have yet to try... Regards Angela |

Variety: It is very rare when a simple experience such as high tea surpasses perfection, as it did last night at Tea Upon Chatsworth. It was the essence of what is meant by 'humane' and 'civilized'! |

Tearoom Response
Dear William,I am thrilled and encouraged by your wonderful remarks regarding the Holiday Opera Tea. It's words like yours that inspire me to continue to bring meaningful events to Tea-Upon-Chatsworth. Thank you! Sinderely, Joy |

Variety: 5 Stars for the Holiday Tea my friend and I had at Chatsworth today. Can't decide which was the best; the orange chai tea, the brie and fig croissant, or the Hummingbird cake. Happy Christmas, Joy, from Val |

Variety: I brought my mom who is visiting from Hawaii and she absolutely loved the ambience of the tearoom. She wishes there was a tearoom on the Big Island in Hawaii now. I have been to your tearoom around five times now, and have always enjoyed the delectable food and smiling staff and beautiful decor. I would highly recommend this exceptional tearoom. P.S. My mom said she enjoyed you even more than Aubrey Rose. |

Variety: My wife and her friend Nancy and I had a delightful afternoon. I was particularly impressed with the wide variety of flavors offered with the tea sandwiches. The sausage sandwich had delicate and flavor with a tender tecture that was a surprize as was the cream cheese & dried tomato sandwich. each of the sweet offerings also came with their own surprises of flavor. It became as though looking for the prize in a cracker jack box with each of the offerings. Thank you for your flavor designs. Respectfully, Jim |

Variety: Going to Joy's tearoom is always a luxurious, self-indulgent occasion. She is truly talented at making beautiful AND delicious concoctions. I have now experienced afternoon tea, a friend's baby shower, my wedding helpers party, and a chinese tea ceremony event here, and all have been wonderful guest-pleasers. Thank you Joy and Staff |
