Tea with an Accent, located in Yardley, Bucks County offers customers a delightful tea experience complete with delicious teas and tasty savories. Shari Titterton, a native of Britain, opened the establishment as a result of her passion for tea and elegantly prepared cuisine.
The lovely décor of the tearoom featuring fine china, silver cutlery, crisp table linen, fresh flowers and candles, reflects Ms. Titterton’s background as an interior designer. The combination of scrumptious fare and a charming atmosphere make this setting popular among groups such as Gardening Clubs, Red Hat and Historical Societies. Tea with an Accent can also provide off-site catering, either as a full-service package or one that simply includes food and a selection of teas. We specialize in Birthday parties, Bridal and Baby Showers.

Variety: After visiting another tea room in our area, I have to say that this one exceeded my expectations. Having lived in Scotland for many years, growing up on tea sandwiches, scones, the owner has warmed my heart! The sandwiches were delicious, scones that reminded me of my grandmothers and tea leaves specially blended that complimented beautifully. The atmosphere is quiant and very relaxing. They will make you feel like your home. (Too bad that you cannot take a nap there-you will be so relaxed you will need one afterwards). |

Variety: My friends and I just hosted a baby shower for our dear friend at tea with an Accent. Everything was wonderful - the atmosphere, the food, the location. The staff were very accomodating and not too present. I felt like I was in someone's home! I would recommend Tea with an Accent to my friends and family!! |

Variety: I recently had an event at Tea with an Accent and it was a delightful experience. In fact this is the second event here in two years, each time being as wonderful experience as the time before. The best part is that I did not have to do anything but invite my guests and choose my menu. Shari the owner, is the perfect hostess. Everything from the tea (especially her house blend -Lily's Delight) to the delicious food (her desserts are amazing) and décor was perfect. All of her staff are delightful young ladies who you can tell love their jobs. I initially came across Tea with an Accent for lunch one day. Shari's chicken salad is the best I have ever tasted. When I needed a place to host my daughter's Bridal Shower I knew this was the perfect location. Thank you Shari and all your staff for making this a wonderful day for me and my guests. |

Variety: Tea with an Accent makes me think of what a real tea room should be! Shari and her staff meticulously serve an authetic tea on beautiful china, in a lovely setting. Everything I've had there is tasty and beautifully presented. Most notable are Shari's scones and Lily's Delight Tea. Even though I've moved away from the Yardley area, my Mom and I drive an hour and a half to the shop because no other tea room in the area comes close. It's well worth the drive. |

Variety: Tea With An Accent is by far the most fabulous tearoom I have ever been to. The tea selection is quite varied and the food is absolutely delicious. Shari is always whipping some new tantalizing treat up in the kitchen and it never fails to be delicious. The sandwiches, scones and deserts are all to die for. The atmosphere and service are just as superb as the food. It is quite clear that the staff truly want you to enjoy yourself and are very accommodating to a variety of needs. Moreover everyone is very personable. Also, men need not to fear entering Tea With An Accent because while the decor is absolutely lovely, it is by no means frivolous or froofy. I highly recommend coming to experience Tea With An Accent for yourself, and to see what makes it stand out from all the rest. |

Variety: I attended a bridal shower on March 7, 2009, and have discovered a whole new way to relax. For anyone who has never been to a tea house before, Tea with an Accent is the spot you want. The tea, service, food and atmosphere were second to none. I'm a coffee hound but have developed a whole new taste for teas, both whole leaf and bags. The flavors were indescribably delicious and the calm and efficient staff bent over backwards to please all of us. The china, crystal, tablecloths, the whole ambiance of the room made me feel as if I were in Europe on vacation. Lovely, simply lovely . . . I'll be back. Thank You!!! |

Variety: I had a bridal shower here for my sister-in-law and I was absolutely ecstatic with how everything turned out. The menu was delicious, Shari was so helpful and pleasant (not to mention a very talented lady!) and all of the guests commented on what an absolutely fabulous time they had. I highly recommend this for your next bridal shower, baby shower, or even just for tea on the weekend! The only thing I would suggest is that when Shari says she can only accommodate up to 40, she means 40! Shari thank you for making this an experience that my sister-in-law will never forget! |

Variety: What an absolutely delightful experience! Everything was delicious with such flavorful teas accompanying the tasty savories and sweets. I was there on the occasion of a bridal shower for my future daughter-in-law and the entire event could not have been better. The table settings were charming and 'very girly.' The staff was demure, very knowledgeable and friendly (as one would expect at an English tea). Shari's Tea With an Accent is not to be missed! |

Variety: If you are looking for a fabulous place to hold a bridal shower, Tea With An Accent is the place. Everything was tastefuly done from the fresh flowers on the tables to the quality of the lunch served. In addition, she lovingly accommodated my daughter's celiac food allergy. Shari's selection of teas were delicious. Both Shari and her staff were professional and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend this venue for any special occasion. Thank you Shari for all you did to make the day a special event. |

Variety: I recently had a bridal shower at Tea with an Accent. It was the best decision I have made in a long time. The precision and detail that Shari (the owner) puts into an event is amazing. From the color of the flowers to the amazing deserts, everything was spectacular. Her special tea blends are wonderful, the soup and sandwiches delicious, the scones the best I have ever tasted, and the desserts not only looked beautiful but tasted delicious to. We were even given boxes to take the food that we could not eat home. There was so much food that we enjoyed a delicious snack later at home. All in all a wonderful time. Thanks shari |

Variety: Dear readers, This is a tea room you will not want to miss. I drive 1 hour 15 minutes to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, a lovely persented afternoon tea. I can't say what is my favorite, the delicious soup, tasty sandwiches, scones or the decadent desserts. They are all equally delicious! As for the tea, I have never been disapointed. I am a decaf person and Sheri is able to accomadate me very nicely. She uses loose leaf tea. You walk in and you instantly leave your worries behind. Soft music is playing in the background, tables are formally set inviting you to sit and relax. I was fortunate enough to attend 4 of Sheri's Christmas teas as well as her Valentine's Day tea. Each one just got better! The British tea was by far my favorite. I look forward to attendign them ... (more) |

I recently hosted a bridal shower for my daughter and I continue to receive rave compliments on my choice of location. Every guest said it was THE BEST bridal shower they ever attended. Shari is the perfect proprietor, offering creative suggestions, first class food items, and a beautiful, warm atmosphere. My daughter said I out-did myself in party planning. I owe it all to Shari and her staff!!! My guests are already hinting about a baby shower in the next year or two, and will come only if it is held at Tea with An Accent !!!! Look out, Shari, we'll be back !!!! |

Variety: I had my mother's 80th Birthday celebration at Tea With An Accent last Saturday and we had the best time. We arrived early for our reservation and had fun looking in the gift shop. At noon Shari rang a small dinner bell and introduced herself and the tea we would be having. The tea was her special blend call Lilly's delight and we all enjoyed it. As our three tier food tray of tea sandwich, scones and tiny desserts were served our tea cups were kept filled with Lilly's delight. When we started to eat our desserts, Shari introduced an Apricot decaf tea which was equally as good. The food was absolutely delicious and was served elegantly in white gloves. My Mother and everyon at her party voted it the best tearoom they've been to. Thank you Shari for a wonderful time and memorable birthday for my Mother. |

Variety: My daughter Grace and I have visited many tearooms in Pennsylvania and in England,Wales and Ireland. Shari Titterton's Tea With An Accent is a lovely tearoom accented by wonderful food and excellent sweet trays that surpasses some of the finest tearooms in England, Her presentation is superb, her staff are well trained and the atmosphere she sets is a peaceful and lovely respite from the busyness of life. The High Tea we had this past Saturday was such a treat and the tea selections are wonderful. This was our third visit since November and I look forward to bringing my three daughters-in-law and my daughter back for a Spring Tea. Variety: I went to lunch with my friend and had a delightful experience. Tea with an Accent was referred to me by a co-worker. The Salad with an Accent was delicious, as was Simply Sarah, one of their house teas. The lemon cranberry scones were the best we have ever tasted. I made a reservation for one of the Holiday Teas and cannot wait to go back. |

Variety: I recently went to Tea with an Accent for lunch. We had a wonderful time. We had the chicken salad coissant with soup and salad. The soup was delicious as was the salad. Shari, the owner makes this wonderful salad dressing. The chicken salad was wonderful - not too much mayonnaise. Shari had made maple burst scones which just melted in the mouth. We tried two of her house teas. Lily'Delight and Simply Sarah. The owner has created both of these teas herself and they are superb. We made reservations for the Holidays. I cannot wait to go back. |

Variety: I recently hosted a bridal shower here and found Tea With an Accent to hold up to all the great reviews I had read previously. I found the establishment to be very quaint and elegant. The place settings for the shower were lovely. Shari and her staff provided impeccable service. The tea was delicious, as was the food. I am in love with the chicken salad on raisin bread. Shari took care of every detail before the shower so that as the host, all I had to do was show up for the event and enjoy the party with my friends and family. I really couldn't have chosen a better place to have a bridal shower for my friend, and would gladly recommend Tea With an Accent to anyone. |

Variety: I started planning my mom's surprise 60th birthday back in April after she and I had a discussion about a hypothetical party. We have been to tea many times in the past, but I wanted to try someplace new. After reading the reviews on this site and hearing from a few people I know who had been to Tea With An Accent, I knew I wanted to try it. I contacted Shari and set a date for the event, as well as a time to come in for a tasting. Shari took the time at the tasting to explain everything to me and my father. We were very impressed. She was also quite accommodating when I needed to switch the date due to timing conflicts of some very important guests. I was able to conduct our business mainly through email and a few phone calls, which allowed me to keep the party under wraps. ... (more) |

Variety: I went to tea with my mother and my two daughters, ages 7 and 4. Shari and her staff were delighted to make our afternoon special. On the phone when I called about availability, I mentioned that I'd be bringing my young girls, and Shari was prepared with a special plate of sandwiches and desserts that delighted them. In addition, my daughter as a tree nut allergy, and Shari understood alleries and was prepared to handle our special needs. As for my mother and me, we found the entire experience outstanding. Amazingly delicious food, which Shari told us she makes herself....all of it, even the desserts. She soup was fabulous and the tea she chose to accompany our meal was perfect as well. Indeed, a wonderful experience....not one complaint, criticism, or improvement area for this tea house. We can't wait to go back! |

Variety: I have been to Tea with an Accent twice this summer and have had a wonderful experience each time. The tea is sublime, the food is delicious, and the service could not be more accomodating. Shari remembered my daughter and I from our first visit and was so very kind in welcoming us back. I brought my parents with me on my second visit and they fell in love with the establishment instantly. If you're in the Philly suburbs and are looking for a way to make an ordinary day extraordinary, do take a ride up to Tea with an Accent. |

Variety: Our church had our first ever ladies tea at Tea With An Accent, and it was a wonderful experince. Shari and her staff are very gracious, and kind. The teas we had were delicious as were the rest of the items on the menu. The tea room is beautifully decorated and very fancy, but at the same time it's very homey and cozy. My experience at Tea With An Accent surpassed even what I was hoping for. After our tea we stayed way passed the time we were supposed to and Shari and her staff were accomodating and charming about it. =) We're looking forward to planning another ladies' tea with Shari and her staff at Tea With An Accent in the VERY near future. Thank you Shari for a very lovely experience. |

Variety: Dear Shari: I am writing to your customers, and potential ones as well. I have been a frequent visitor of Tea with an Accent, and my guests are always delighted! The Christmas Tea (along with your lovey Harpist), my niece's bridal shower, my own joyful lunches and now a pending bridal shower for my friend. You are the finest, most professional, personable, tender, loving owner I have ever met! Thank you for the time and effort you put forth for all of your clientele. We are treated as queens (and I've seen a few kings too). Our lives are so hectic, we rarely take time for ourselves. But when we do, Tea with an Accent is our home away from home. You are a blessing, dear Shari. Thank you for all that you and your staff do to make us feel special. Love you! |

Variety: My friend(s) and I visit Tea With an Accent a minimum of once a month and have been doing so for the past three years! Our favorite lunch is the Victorian Tea accompanied by Shari's own special house blend, 'Lily's Delight'. If you're new to the 'Tea experience', Shari is very accommodating in helping you make your selection and graciously offers you a second choice of tea if you're not completely satisfied (there are so many teas from which to choose). The soup, salad, sandwiches and scones are lovingly prepared, as are ALL the offerings on the menu. At our Women's Link High Tea last year (our 3rd High Tea), Shari gladly accommodated the vegetarians in our group as requested. Everyone had a marvelous time and looks forward to this annual event. Shari's personality, her attention to detail, and her love of what she does all combine to make you feel like a guest in her home rather than 'a customer'. Tea With an Accent is just what the doctor ordered for a lovely afternoon of R&R. Don't miss it! |
